Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kesiapan sekolah Taman Kanak-kanak yang berada di kecamatan Medan Petisah untuk mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dimana teknik pengumpulan data atau informasi melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informasi yang terkumpul nantinya akan dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan Teknik analisis data yang kembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata sekolah TK yang berada di kecamatan Medan Petisah berada di kategori cukup siap mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka belajar, dimana setiap sekolah akan mulai mencoba menerapkan kurikulum merdeka tersebut pada Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Selain itu, salah satu penyebab rata-rata sekolah berada di kategori cukup siap dikarenakan adanya peran aktif pemerintah pusat maupun praktisi kurikulum dalam memberikan pelayanan berupa sosialisasi kurikulum merdeka di sekolah TK.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the effectiveness of the "Bank Sampah Gesit" in Rumah Gerat Village through educational initiatives and operational system restructuring. The program includes educating participants on waste management concepts, types of recyclable materials, and effective operational management, followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to design improved operational systems. Using a one-shot case study approach with pretest-posttest assessments, this initiative successfully increased participants' knowledge and understanding of waste management principles and established a functional waste management system. This system includes the types of waste managed, waste deposit recording systems, and the roles of waste collectors and sponsors in sustaining the bank. Fully supported by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Universitas Negeri Medan and in collaboration with Roda Hijau Kota Medan, this community service program encourages active community participation in environmental conservation efforts. The goal is for this initiative to inspire the residents of Rumah Gerat Village to manage waste more efficiently, positively impacting the local environment, and creating a cleaner and sustainable environment for future generations.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian di TK N 01 Padang Baru bahwa kemampuan bercerita anak belum berkembang dengan baik. Penyebabnya adalah kurangnya kreatifitas guru dalam menciptakan suatu alat permainan edukatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Maze terhadap Kemampuan Bercerita Anak di TK N 01 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif yang berbentuk Quasy Eksperiment. Populasi penelitian adalah anak TK N 01 Padang Baru yang berjumlah 47 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive Sampling, yaitu kelas B3 dan kelas B4 masing-masingnya berjumlah 10 orang anak. Hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa anak pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Permainan Maze memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan anak pada kelas kontrol yang pembelajarannya menggunakan buku dongeng. Berdasarkan perhitungan t-test diperoleh (3,96) lebih besar dari (2,10) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasil referensi terkait permainan tradisional Masyarakat Batak Angkola yang dapat dimainkan oleh anak usia dini serta hubungannya dengan aspek perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan yaitu melakukan pengumpulan data, mereduksi data, menyajikan dan menyimpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa permainan tradisional Masyarakat Batak Angkola yang dapat dimainkan oleh anak usia dini dikategorikan menjadi permainan yang menggunakan alat dan permainan tanpa alat, jenis permainannya meliputi markalas-kalas, markwaci, martaru koje, marole ole, mardahan-dahan, jambatan Tapanuli, marsiayak jongkok dan marsimonjap. Permainan tradisional Masyarakat Batak Angkola ini dapat menstimulus aspek kognitif, bahasa, sosial emosional, nilai agama dan moral serta fisik anak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher skills in implementing learning variations at the Pembina Lubuk Pakam State Kindergarten (TK Negeri Pembina). Learning variations are one of the important aspects in early childhood education, which can increase student motivation and involvement in the learning process. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers at Pembina Lubuk Pakam State Kindergarten have implemented various methods and strategies in implementing learning variations, such as the use of diverse media, changes in voice intonation, and the implementation of interactive and creative activities. However, there are several challenges faced, such as limited resources and facilities that affect the implementation of learning variations optimally. This study is expected to contribute to the development of teaching practices in kindergartens, as well as being a reference for managers in improving the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify differences in storytelling ability in early childhood aged 5-6 years through the application of finger puppet media in Salsa Kindergarten, Cinta Rakyat Village. The method used is a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Design, specifically the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, which is used to compare two groups. The population in this study was 40 children aged 5-6 years. The sample was selected randomly (random sampling), consisting of 20 children in class B1 (Sun Class) as the experimental group who received treatment, and 20 children in class B2 (Star Class) as the control group without treatment. Data were collected through observation, testing, and documentation systematically. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistics through the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in storytelling ability between children who used finger puppet media and those who did not. This is indicated by the significance value of the Mann-Whitney U test of 0.026 <0.05. Thus, finger puppet media has proven effective in improving the storytelling skills of early childhood children at Salsa Kindergarten, Cinta Rakyat Village.
