Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi, informasi, dan komunikasi yang berkembang begitu pesat khususnya dalam bidang kecantikan diiringi dengan munculnya beauty vlogger yang dapat mempengaruhi mahasiswa program studi pendidikan tata kecantikan dalam peningkatan pengetahuan tata rias korektif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah tayangan beauty vlogger berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tata rias korektif pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Kecantikan Universitas Negeri Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Dengan menggunakan analisis linear sederhana. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengaruh beauty vlogger. Variabel terikat yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan tata rias korektif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji asumsi, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji hipotesis Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tayangan beauty vlogger dapat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tata rias korektif pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Kecantikan Universitas Negeri Semarang. Pengujian pengaruh tayangan beauty vlogger dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui 2 tahap yaitu tahap pertama berupa uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Tahap kedua dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linier. Hasil pengujian statistik pada nilai rata-rata tersebut menunjukkan adanya pengaruh secara statistik (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Kondisi demikian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi kini menggambarkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa akan meningkat  dengan diberikannya tayangan beauty vlogger yang mendapatkan beauty vlogger memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pengetahuan tata rias korektif yang lebih baik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tayangan beauty vlogger merupakan media yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa untuk melakukan tata rias korektif.

Abstract

Currently, the instructional videos on Solo Puteri bridal makeup, sourced by instructors from YouTube, only cover certain aspects of the curriculum for Solo Puteri bridal makeup courses. Educators often face time constraints when creating their own audiovisual learning materials. This study aims to (1) assess the feasibility of an Android-based e-module using App Inventor for Solo Puteri bridal makeup competence; (2) evaluate the effectiveness of the Android-based e-module using App Inventor for Solo Puteri bridal makeup competence; (3) determine the practicality of the Android-based e-module using App Inventor for Solo Puteri bridal makeup competence.The research model utilized in this study is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The development research subjects consist of 12 active students majoring in Makeup at AKS Ibu Kartini Semarang. Data analysis methods include the Content Validity Index (CVI) and Percentage of Agreement (PA) for feasibility testing, t-tests and N-gain for effectiveness testing, and reproducibility coefficient (Kr) and scalability coefficient (Ks) for practicality testing.The study results are as follows: (1) The product developed is an e-module for Solo Puteri bridal makeup; (2) The product is deemed feasible based on a Content Validity Index (CVI) score of 1 from media experts, a Percentage of Agreement (PA) of 100%, and a CVI score of 1 and PA of 100% from material experts; (3) Product trials show an effectiveness level of 0.67, with an effectiveness percentage of 67.36%, indicating a moderate effect and that the e-module is reasonably effective; (4) The reproducibility coefficient (Kr) is 94% and the scalability coefficient (Ks) is 72%, suggesting that the e-module for Solo Puteri bridal makeup is practical

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of an e-module based on the Ibis Paint X application in improving learning outcomes of participants in the Technical Drawing material of the Fashion Technology vocational program. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used include pre-tests and post-tests, as well as user response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and N-Gain tests. The results show that the use of the e-module significantly improves the understanding of training participants, with high effectiveness based on the N-Gain test results. Additionally, user responses indicate that the e-module is practical and suitable for use in training. These findings suggest that the integration of the Ibis Paint X application in the e-module supports adaptive and effective digital learning in vocational training environments.

Abstract

The Papaya plant is one type of plant that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Papaya leaves contain chlorophyll, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, saponins, and triterpenoids which can be used as basic ingredients for the manufacture of natural dyes for textiles. Utilization of papaya leaves as natural dyes can reduce the impact of environmental damage caused by synthetic dyes. This study aims to determine the quality of color strength, color fastness to detergent washing, and motive sharpness on primissima mori fabric using tie-dyeing technique with variations in the pH of papaya leaf extract and the mordant used is mordant alum, quicklime, and tunjung. This research is a type of experimental research. The data collection technique used was a laboratory test. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the darkest color strength test results were produced by mordant tunjung pH 6 with a reflectance value of 3.51% and a transmittance value of 96.49% including very dark criteria. The best test values ​​for color fastness to detergent washing were alum mordant at pH 2 and pH 12 and quicklime mordant at pH 2 with an average gray scale value of 4-5 in the good category. The test value for the sharpest tie dye motive is the mordant tunjung pH 6 with a reflectance value of 3.51% and a transmittance value of 103% including very sharp criteria. The conclusion from several test results shows that the use of different pH variations and types of mordant can affect the results of the quality of dyeing on fabrics.

Abstract

Abstract. Ulos sadum is a Batak woven fabric that was originally known in Angkola/South Tapanuli as a symbol of joy with its characteristic red color and festive floral motifs that have cultural significance through the Batak tradition, and can contain magical, religious, love, unity and prayer values. The development of the times has an impact on the ulos phenomenon is not used in accordance with the function, motifs and meaning of ulos because it is starting to erode and can threaten the extinction of the ulos which makes people worry, especially for the Toba Batak sphere. This study aims to examine the functions, motifs, and symbolic meanings contained in the Toba Batak ulos sadum. This research is a type of qualitative research. The approach used is semiotics. The sources of data in this study were ulos weavers, experts in the field of ulos (ulos observers, ulos business actors, lecturers of cultural studies), literature, and ulos. Data collection techniques used are literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the theoretical data analysis of Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification. The results showed that the function of the Toba Batak personal sadum was to be used by women as ulos holong (love), a symbol of joy and prayer for the wearer or daughters who are currently married, and to show the beauty of women from their work. The physical function is for scarves, long cloths/slings, back cover and gifts. The social function is for happy and sad events such as mangulosi , house inauguration, baptisms, child births, church birthdays and funerals. The function of the community in the past was that it was used for daily activities, scarves and traditional events. The function in today's society is still the same as before but has been modernized, namely the development of sadum patterned fabrics into souvenirs such as wall hangings, tablecloths, bags, clothing, skirts, accessories and others. Some sadum motifs come from Dutch and India acculturation. The motifs describe animals and nature in the Batak land. The distribution of motifs on the Toba Batak ulos sadum is Toba Silindung, Toba Samosir, Toba Holbung/Uluan and Toba Sitolu Huta. The overall symbolic meaning contained in the Toba Batak ulos sadum, namely the joy and social relations of humans and the surrounding nature is translated from the meaning contained in each motif that forms a single unit. This cloth in custom is called ulos holong (love), which expresses affection, joy and prayer to give dynamism to the community.

Abstract

Usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) di Kota Semarang menghadapi tantangan serius dalam literasi digital dan kapasitas pemasaran daring, terutama dalam menciptakan konten media sosial yang menarik dan relevan. Urgensi pengabdian ini muncul dari kesenjangan adopsi teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang menghambat daya saing UMKM di tengah transformasi digital yang semakin cepat. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan program pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan terstruktur penggunaan perangkat AI seperti Canva Magic Studio dan ChatGPT bagi 25 peserta dari Komunitas UMKM Semarang Bisa. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pra-tes dan pasca-tes satu kelompok dengan analisis N-Gain untuk menilai efektivitas peningkatan kompetensi peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 3,78 menjadi 4,62, dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain keseluruhan sebesar 0,70 (kategori tinggi), menandakan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep AI, kemampuan pembuatan teks promosi, dan desain konten kreatif berbasis AI. Dampak nyata dirasakan oleh mitra berupa peningkatan efisiensi waktu, kualitas konten, konsistensi unggahan media sosial, serta kesiapan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi AI ke dalam strategi pemasaran mereka. Program ini terbukti efektif memperkuat kapasitas digital UMKM dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap keberlanjutan serta daya saing usaha di era ekonomi berbasis inovasi.

Abstract

Air pollution level in Indonesia can cause oxidative stress which can impact the antioxidant defenses of the skin so it can trigger premature aging problems. Skin protection should focus on the application of topical antioxidants which include flavonoids as antioxidants. Furthermore, corn silk containing flavonoids has the potential to be used as a topical preparation in the form of a sheet mask as an antioxidant in preventing premature aging. Corn silk which is processed using the fermentation method becomes an eco-enzyme since it can act as a good catalyst and produce antioxidants. The aim of this research is to analyze the feasibility of eco-enzyme as an essence in sheet mask preparations with antioxidant content which meets the preparation evaluation requirements. The method used in this research consisted of making corn silk eco-enzyme which was homogenized with other chemicals to become an essence sheet mask and packaged by using paper sheets in foil bags. The research results show that preparations with eco-enzyme concentrations in each formula, namely 10% (F1), 20% (F2), and 30% (F3), have good physical evaluations and met test standards which included organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, and stability tests. Moreover, the antioxidant activity test shows the IC50 values for each formula are 190.67 µg/mL, 185 µg/mL, and 96.75 µg/mL, respectively. The conclusion is that the F3 with a concentration of 30%, shows the best antioxidant activity, having an IC50 value of 96.75 µg/mL, which is classified as strong. In addition, the results of this research prove that the eco-enzyme from corn silk is suitable for use in preparing essence sheet masks with antioxidant content.

Abstract

Abstrak Hasil belajar merupakan tingkat penguasaan yang dicapai siswa selama proses belajar mengajar sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan yang telah ditetapkan. Salah satu faktor eksternal yang kerap mempengaruhi pencapaian belajar siswa adalah kondisi sosial ekonomi orang tua diukur berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan pendapatan mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs Maarif NU 01 Kertanegara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan dua variabel yaitu status sosial ekonomi dan hasil belajar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 97 siswa dan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Metode pengumpulan datanya menggunakan angket yang menyajikan 20 pernyataan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji prasarat yang meliputi uji normalitas dan uji linieritas, kemudian untuk uji hipotesisnya menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden dalam penelitian ini berasal dari kelompok ekonomi menengah. Nilai F hitung sebesar 2,607 dengan signifikansi 0,110 yang lebih besar dari 0,05 mengindikasikan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi dan hasil belajar.   Abstract Learning outcomes are the level of mastery achieved by students during the teaching and learning process in accordance with the established educational objectives. One of the external factors that often influences student learning achievement is the socioeconomic conditions of parents, measured by their level of education, occupation, and income. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parental socioeconomic status on the learning outcomes of grade VIII students of MTs Maarif NU 01 Kertanegara. This type of research is quantitative, examining two variables: socioeconomic status and learning outcomes. The population of this study consisted of 97 grade VIII students, and a total sampling technique was employed. The data collection method used a questionnaire presenting 20 statements. The data analysis technique used in this study included a prerequisite test that consisted of a normality test and a linearity test. For hypothesis testing, a simple linear regression test was employed. The results of this study indicate that most respondents came from the middle economic group. The calculated F-value of 2.607, with a significance level of 0.110, which is greater than 0.05, indicates that there is no significant influence between socioeconomic status and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The effect of different fixatives—alum (Al₂(SO₄)₃·18H₂O), ferrous sulfate (FeSO₄·7H₂O), and lime (Ca(OH)₂)—on the color fastness of cotton fabric dyed with natural dye extracted from mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.) was investigated. The dyeing process involved boiling fresh mango leaves, applying multiple dyeing cycles, and subsequent fixation treatments. Color fastness to washing (ISO 105-C06) and wet rubbing (ISO 105-X12) was evaluated using the gray scale, and data were analyzed with the Kruskal–Wallis test followed by Dunn’s post-hoc test. Results showed that fixative type significantly affected wash fastness (p = 0.018), with lime providing the highest mean rank, followed by alum and ferrous sulfate. In contrast, fixative type had no significant effect on wet rubbing fastness (p = 0.264). These findings indicate that alkaline fixation with lime enhances wash durability of mango leaf dyes, while wet rubbing resistance is less influenced by fixative selection. This study supports the potential of mango leaf extract as an eco-friendly dye source and provides insights for optimizing mordant selection in sustainable textile dyeing applications.

Abstract

Although Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been widely explored in higher education, research on its integration in elementary teacher training remains limited, particularly in developing contexts. This study investigates whether AI-based training can enhance teachers’ efficiency in developing instructional media. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test–post-test approach was employed. Twenty elementary school teachers from Indonesia participated in a four-week training program involving lectures, guided practice, and mentoring on AI platforms such as ChatGPT, QuillBot, Canva AI, and Quizizz AI. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments (15 multiple-choice items) and a perception questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. Results showed a significant increase in teachers’ understanding, with mean scores rising from 55.6 to 86.1, indicating a 30.5-point improvement. Teachers also reported high satisfaction with the training (M = 4.76/5), especially regarding efficiency and applicability in classroom practice. These findings suggest that short-term AI-based professional development can reduce teachers’ workload, strengthen digital literacy, and support sustainable educational innovation. The study contributes to global discussions on leveraging AI for teacher capacity building, particularly in resource-constrained elementary education systems.
