Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of women in the family economy in Masale Village, Panakkukang District, Makassar City. This type of research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Informants of this study as many as 7 people. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, display, comparative analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the role of women in the family economy in Masale Village can be seen in their daily lives, that welfare is a condition of fulfilling the basic human needs of every family member both materially, socially, mentally and spiritually so that they can live properly as human beings. which is useful.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran perempuan dalam perekonomian keluarga di Kelurahan Masale Kecamatan Panakkukang Kota Makassar. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriftif. Informan penelitian ini sebanyak 5 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah redukasi data, display, analisis perbandingan, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran perempuan dalam perekonomian keluarga di Kelurahan Masale ini dapat kita lihat pada kehidupan mereka sehari-hari, bahwa kesejaterahan adalah kondisi terpenuhnya kebutuhan dasar manusia  dari setiap anggota keluarga baik secara material, sosial, mental dan spiritual sehingga dapat hidup layak sebagai manusia yang bermanfaat.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to analyze and describe the representation of social class in the Snowpiercer (2013) and its benefits to study sociology in senior high school. The type of approach in this research was a qualitative descriptive method with the Snowpiercer (2013) as the data source. The data collection technique used documentation technique. Data analysis was content analysis by applying the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that the representation of social class was very dominant and played an important role in the plot and narrative of the Snowpiercer (2013), including: a) upper class vs lower class; b) exploitation and oppression; c) resistance and revolution; d) visual symbolism; e) upper class decadence; and f) manipulation of information. Then, the benefits of the Snowpiercer (2013) in studying sociology of senior high school including: visualizing social structure in learning material, visualizing social inequality in learning material, visualizing diversity and identity in learning, and visualizing rebellion and social change in learning.Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan representasi kelas sosial dalam Snowpiercer (2013) dan manfaatnya dalam pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA. Jenis pendekatan pada penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif analisis dengan objek Snowpiercer (2013) sebagai sumber datanya. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data adalah analisis isi dengan menerapkan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa representasi kelas sosial sangat dominan dan memainkan peran penting dalam plot dan narasi Snowpiercer (2013) antara lain: a) kelas atas vs kelas bawah; b) eksploitasi dan penindasan; c) perlawanan dan revolusi; d) simbolisme visual; e) dekadensi kelas atas; dan f) manipulasi informasi. Kemudian adapun manfaat Snowpiercer (2013) dalam pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA antara lain: memvisualisasikan struktur sosial dalam materi pembelajaran, memvisualisasikan ketimpangan sosial dalam materi pembelajaran, memvisualisasikan diversitas dan identitas dalam pembelajaran, dan memvisualisasikan pemberontakan dan perubahan sosial dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam upaya menigkatkan potensi ekowisata kawasan Pantai Pulau Bair Kota Tual. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif dengan penentuan informan terdiri dari 7 informan yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat tersebut antara lain: a) penyadaran dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dan inovasi oleh pihak Dinas Pariwisata, b) pemberian modal usaha untuk masyarakat di sekitar objek wisata Kota Tual, c) pendampingan dengan mengarahkan masyarakat untuk pembangunan dan pengembangan desa wisata, dan d) pendayaan kelompok sadar wisata maupun kelompok masyarakat dengan berkegiatan ekonomi produktif dalam pengembangan desa wisata di Pulau Bair. ABSTRACT This study aims to describe community empowerment strategies in an effort to increase the potential for ecotourism in the Pulau Bair Beach area of Tual City. This type of research uses qualitative description research with the determination of informants consisting of 7 informants selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validation technique uses source triangulation. The results of the study show that: 1) The community empowerment strategy includes: a) awareness is carried out through socialization and innovation by the Tourism Office, b) providing venture capital for the community around the Tual City tourist attraction, c) assistance by directing the community for development and tourism village development, and d) empowering tourism awareness groups and community groups with productive economic activities in the development of tourism villages on Bair Island.

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the application of video-based interactive multimedia learning media assisted by the Wondershare Filmora application in sociology learning at SMA Negeri 10 Gowa, and (2) improving student learning outcomes through video-based interactive multimedia learning media assisted by the Wondershare Filmora application in sociology learning. in senior high school. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research objects are Class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Gowa. Data sources in this research are interviews, observations, tests and documentation. The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive quantitative statistical analysis. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results obtained (1) through the application of Wondershare Filmora media can help teachers create interesting, unique and interactive learning media in the classroom learning process. (2) Based on the results of the first cycle and second cycle tests, 35 students were declared to have met the KKM. This research has implications for the application of videobased interactive multimedia learning media, learning in the classroom takes place actively and interactively, students appear more enthusiastic and motivated to pay attention to what is displayed and explained directly by the teacher. This can certainly improve student learning outcomes, especially in Sociology subjects for students at SMA Negeri 10 Gowa.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service is to provide assistance to the learning committee in understanding differentiated learning of student-centered learning. Partners in this community service activity are 4 mobilizing schools, namely SMPN 1 Liliriaja, SMPN 3 Liliriaja, SDN 108 Talepu, and SDN 133 Takalala in Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province, consisting of 16 learning committees. The form of activity goes through four stages, namely; 1) presentation of learning materials, 2) Assistance in designing Real Actions, 3) solving problems through lighter questions and 4) Feedback or reflection on activities to all Workshop Participants Learning planning 1. The results of feedback or evaluation showed that 80% of participants answered strongly agree related to the presentation of material and discussion was enough to make the workshop participants understand, then 100% answered strongly agree to the question 'The material presented is according to my needs', and 95% answered very seventh to the question 'My understanding greatly improved after attending the lesson planning workshop 1'. So it can be concluded that this community service activity went well and successfully.

Abstract

Toleransi Antar Umat Beragama Di Desa Lembang Dewata Kecamatan Mappak Kabupaten Tana Toraja dimana masyarakatnya yang ada di Lembang Dewata menganut agama atau kepercayaan yang berbeda-beda yang tinggal dalam satu rumah dengan menganut agama Kristen, Islam dan Hindu maupun yang hidup secara berdampingan dengan umat yang beragama lain. Meskipun memiliki agama yang berbeda tetapi mereka tetap saling menghargai dan saling menghormati antara sesama agam. Toleransi juga terlihat pada masyarakat Desa Lembang Dewata pada saat perayaan hari raya Natal dimana umat Muslim memperbolehkan umat Kristiani menggunakan lokasi Mesjid sebagai tempat parkir bagi umat Nasrani yang datang melaksanakan Ibadah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut selanjutnya di analisis dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif, yaitu analisis yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan sejak pengumpulan data sehingga penelitian ini berakhir. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Lembang Dewata Kecamatan Mappak Kabupaten Tana Toraja adalah masyarakat yang menganut agama yang berbeda namun perkembangan dan pertumbuhan beragama tetap menjalin toleransi antara umat beragama. Bentuk pendukung toleransi beragama di Desa Lembang Dewata Kecamatan Mappak Kabupaten Tana Toraja adalah adanya kegiatan yang sering dipergunakan masyarakat untuk mewujudkan dan mencerminkan kerukunan toleransi umat beragama yaitu hari raya kegamaan dan acara rambu solok, gotong royong dalam melakukan kegitan kemasyarakatan. Sikap toleransi umat beragama di Desa Lembang Dewata Kecamatan Mappak Kabupaten Tana Toraja sangat menjujung tinggi saling menghargai antara sesama umat beragama misalnya dalam hal peribadatan mereka saling mengharagai satu sama lain.

Abstract

The Kajang people are known for their lives based on traditional values, traditional beliefs, and distinctive local wisdom. They are here to preserve traditions amidst the blows of globalization. With this local wisdom, researchers are interested in analyzing the social construction of the Kajang traditional community to maintain their local wisdom. This research used a qualitative approach through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and data analysis using grounded theory analysis techniques. The research results show that the Kajang indigenous community faced challenges in maintaining their local wisdom amidst social changes and external influences. However, with its social construction, it maintained local wisdom through externalization, objectivation, and internalization processes. With this social construction approach, the Kajang traditional community can show resilience and initiative to preserve local wisdom and strengthen social ties between community members. This research will not only provide new insights into the local wisdom of the Kajang people in efforts to preserve culture, community development, and policy development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Underprivileged Indonesian students receive financial aid from the KIP-Kuliah program, therefore allowing access to higher education. Beyond their practical use, this study investigates how the money symbolically reflects optimism, social mobility, and personal development in the life of their beneficiaries. This study aims to explore the symbolic meanings that KIP-Kuliah recipients attach to the educational assistance funds they receive. It also seeks to understand how these meanings influence their identity, motivation, and perception of higher education as a pathway to social mobility. The research used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Researchers will use questionnaires or interviews in data collection, so the data source is from respondents, namely sociology education students who received KIP-Kuliah. Based on the interview results, it can be concluded that students who are viewed as individuals who are academically and economically worthy of receiving assistance can strengthen their self-confidence both from their family, friends, and campus environment. The Kip-Kuliah Scholarship obtained by students can be a symbol of moral responsibility for both the individual scholarship recipient, their family, and their social environment. Although inclusive, Kip-Kuliah scholarship recipients indirectly mark the differences in social class among students. In certain interactions. This can cause feelings of inferiority or become a motivation to prove oneself. Through the perspective of symbolic interactionism, it is revealed that the meaning of money is formed and modified through the process of social interaction and students' life experiences.

Abstract

Transgender sex workers often experience discrimination, social stigma, psychological pressure, and limited access to employment, education, and legal protection. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the psychological impacts on transgender sex workers, based on interviews with four informants in the Sawerigading area of Makassar City, selected through purposive sampling. This research employs a qualitative case study approach using interviews and observations to understand the psychological impacts in a deep and contextual manner. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that transgender sex workers in Sawerigading experience psychological pressure due to stigma, discrimination, and economic demands. The conflict between self-acceptance and social rejection generates stress, anxiety, and the use of defense mechanisms. The lack of social support worsens their mental condition, indicating the need for serious attention to create a fair, inclusive, and humane environment. Therefore, it is crucial to improve access to mental health services, public education to reduce stigma, strengthen social support, and develop inclusive policies that protect the rights and dignity of transgender individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of implementing a deep learning approach within the Merdeka Curriculum framework on the character development of students at Amanah Nusantara High School. The urgency of this research arises from the growing national demand for educational practices that not only strengthen students’ cognitive mastery but also cultivate character values aligned with the Profile of Pancasila Students an area where empirical evidence remains limited, particularly in digital era learning contexts. This study employs a mixed-methods design using a one-group pretest–posttest model. The research participants consist of 29 eleventh-grade students and two Sociology teachers. Quantitative data were collected through a character education questionnaire encompassing responsibility, honesty, care, social awareness, and work ethic, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations of classroom activities. Descriptive analysis indicates an improvement in the mean character education score from 72.3 (SD = 8.9) in the pretest to 78.9 (SD = 7.4) in the posttest. The Shapiro–Wilk test confirmed normal data distribution (p > 0.05), and a paired-samples t-test showed a significant increase, t(28) = 4.12, p = 0.0003, with a medium-to-large effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.76). Qualitative findings further reveal that the deep learning approach enhances student participation, moral value reflection, and collaborative work, especially during activity-based learning. However, several challenges emerged, including time limitations and the absence of comprehensive character assessment instruments. Overall, the findings confirm that the deep learning approach is effective in cultivating students’ character through reflective, collaborative, and project-based activities aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile. The study highlights an urgent need for systematic teacher training and the development of character assessment frameworks to support sustainable deep learning practices in Indonesian schools.
