Abstract

Education has crucial roles for early childhood children to prepare them with a strong basic foundation for further education. It is important to develop human resources that are not only eligible academically. The Bina Bangsa Kindergarten adopts a curriculum from other countries. It also includes the character education curriculum. As a Joint Educational Unit, the school has different approaches. It accommodates not only domestic learners and teachers but from many countries and cultures. This qualitative research collected the data comprehensively and accurately. The subjects were the principal, home teachers, and parents. The findings were from various methods, such as interviews, documentation study, and interviews. They showed that the character education implementation had been structured into lessons and integrated into all school activities. The findings also showed that the learning activities and cooperation with the learners' parents were already excellent by applying a multicultural approach. The character education was already excellent by the supervision of both the principal and the parents. Various social and religious activities supported character education. They involved cooperation from the parents to practice the character values at home.

Abstract

Modul adalah seperangkat bahan ajar cetak yang disajikan secara sistematis dan dirancang untuk dapat dipelajari secara mandiri oleh peserta pembelajaran yang berisi materi, metode, batasan-batasan materi pembelajaran, petunjuk kegiatan belajar, latihan dan cara mengevaluasi untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas dan efektivitas modul hairpiece.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan atau dikenal dengan metode Research and Development. Tahapan dalam proses penelitian ini adalah tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan pengujian. Pengujian yang dilakukan berupa validasi yang dilakukan oleh expert judgement atau ahli media dan materi, kemudian media di uji coba oleh siswa. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan penilaian ahli media dalam kategori sangat layak dan ahli materi dalam kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji coba siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil termasuk dalam kategori baik dan uji coba kelompok besar termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan, bahwa modul ini layak digunakan sebagai media dalam proses pembelajaran materi pokok hairpiece.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risk of heart attack, kidney failure, and blindness. Hypertension is one of the causes of premature death in the worldwide. 34.1% of Indonesian adults aged 18 years and over are affected by hypertension. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of matrix coding of hypertension prevention behavior of students in Semarang city. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data were obtained by in-depth interviews with 25 sources using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used qualitative analysis using the NVivo 12 Plus application that was  presented in the form of matrix coding which was then described. The results showed that hypertension prevention behavior carried out by students in Semarang City by doing: 1) limiting high-fat foods, 2) reducing excess salt consumption, 3) reducing trans fats, 4) consuming balanced vegetables and fruits, 5) avoiding cigarettes, and 6) do sports and physical activity. Morover, there are still things that are not known by students in preventing hypertension, such as consuming alcohol which can actually increase the risk of hypertension.

Abstract

Learning activities are a system that is deliberately planned with the modification of various conditions that are directed so that the objectives contained in the curriculum can be achieved, in the implementation of the learning process in Vocational High Schools (SMK) there are many problems that arise from various factors supporting the learning process starting from students as students, teachers as educators, methods as a means of delivering the subject matter, learning support facilities and school policies that can affect the smoothness of the learning process. Selection of the right learning media can improve learning outcomes as well as the elaboration of new habits by developing soft skills of students themselves by using e-modules for class XII TKRO 4 and those who do not use e-module XII TBSM 2 at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kuningan for the academic year 2020/ 2021. The purpose of this research is to develop an E-Module on Industrial Culture Materials with a Problem Base Learning learning model to improve students' soft skills. This study uses research and development or R and D methods. The design chosen is ADDIE, which includes five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research uses various instruments, namely (1) a feasibility assessment sheet for e-modules; (2) e-module practicality questionnaire; and (3) a questionnaire on the effectiveness of the e-module to measure the soft skills of class XII TKRO 4 and XII TBSM 2 students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kuningan. The data analysis used is (1) categorical to determine the feasibility level of the e-module; (2) Guttman's categorization to determine the level of practicality of e-modules, using the coefficients Kr and Ks; and (3) N-Gain and different N-Gain tests using t-test, to determine the effectiveness of the e-module on student learning outcomes. Based on the feasibility test, practicality test, and the effectiveness test of the e-module, the industrial culture material developed, according to the responses of media experts and material experts, obtained the criteria for a very feasible e-module response. Responses from teachers and students as user responses to the practicality test of the e-module obtained very practical assessment criteria. And from the effectiveness test in the experimental class, the e-module obtained effective and significant criteria for improving the soft skills of class XII TKRO 4 and XII TBSM 2 students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kuningan.

Abstract

Agriculture-based business development efforts is crucial carried out in support of public welfare. One of the agricultural products which have the potential to be developed towards an industrial scale are fruits and vegetables. During this time, farmers only sell fruit and vegetables in the form of raw products, and product diversification are less in touch. So far, farmers also simply be a price taker, where they do not have the strength in pricing. This causes farmers sometimes manipulated by middlemen, especially when the harvest is abundant. Therefore, it takes effort and innovation to cultivate fruit and vegetables to be more durable, has a high economic value and improve the welfare of farmers. The purpose of this service is: (1) provide training on making chips eggplants and carrots; (2) facilitate the use of freezingfrying machines; (3) help the vegetable farmers in assessing the feasibility of making chips eggplants and carrots (4) facilitate and assist farmers in accessing capital loans to financial institutions (5) business assistance. The methods used in service activities are 1) a method of action which the servants of training the production of chips eggplant and vegetables, 2) methods of assistance where efforts procurement of machines, access to capital and feasibility studies done here and, 3) the method of supervision, which in the method The servant evaluate and solve problems encountered while running a business. After the service is implemented, is expected to solve the existing problems so as to support the promotion of the local economy and local vegetable growers.

Abstract

Demands for family needs are increasing along with the changing times and science. Thus, Family Welfare Program or Program Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) is nationally aimed to empower families to improve prosperity towards faith and devotion to God; virtuous morality; health; prosperity; independence; gender equality, justice; legal and environmental awareness. This paper aims to provide a descriptive picture to PKK Deliksari management about the level of implementation of the members of each workgroup program (I, II, III, IV); give a picture to PKK management about which workgroup is responded mostly by members; provide an overview of the skills education that is most interesting in Deliksari community, so it can be followed up through village entrepreneurship training; provide an overview of facilities needed to motivate the community to increase efforts. The research was conducted in Deliksari. The total respondents are 58 people determined by purposive sampling. The data collection tool is questions with multiple answers corroborated by in-depth interviews with management, some members, and field observations. The study found that the achievement of program implementation percentage included the average achievement of workgroup I in the high category; the average achievement of workgroup II in the medium category; the average achievement of workgroup III in the medium category, the average achievement of workgroup IV in the medium category; the average achievement of workgroup I to IV in the medium category; and the highest percentage, that is, from residents choosing “baking cookies” skill (63.79%), sewing skills (13.79%) and planting fruit around the houses (22.41%).

Abstract

Secara umum tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: menemukan model menguatkan sikap tindak wirausaha melalui pemberdayaan KWT (dala  m bentuk pendidikan). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Semarang, Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan sample dilakukan secara purposif sampling, dengan pertimbangan sekelompok subyek yang memiliki karakteristik: sebagai anggota KWT kategori proaktif, reaktif dan nonaktif; memiliki status sosial ekonomi rendah, berdomisili di Kabupaten Semarang. Jumlah sample 198 orang. Menurut jenisnya, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian terapan; Menurut metodenya, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan (Action Research), Menurut tingkat eksplanasinya, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif karena hanya untuk mengetahui nilai variabel mandiri yaitu pemberdayaan KWT. Selanjutnya akan menghasilkan model dan modul pemberdayaan KWT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, Tingkat pengetahuan, paska pendidikan termasuk pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terbukti ada peningkatan pengetahuan paska pendidikan.  Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian, beberapa saran yang dapat disampaikan khususnya untuk dinas terkait di Kabupaten Semarang, yakni: Bagi Dinas Pertanian: akan lebih tepat memasukan program kewirausahaan; pengolahan pangan hasil pertanian (lokal). ke dalam program kerja rutin KWT .Secara umum tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: menemukan model menguatkan sikap tindak wirausaha melalui pemberdayaan KWT (dala  m bentuk pendidikan). Abstract

Family Welfare Education as A Character Building of young generation. The long-term aim of this study is to implement PKK subject to all Students of Elementary Education in Indonesia. Major Target: 1. describing teacher’s attitude of PKK subject as an effort to build student’s character; 2. Describing level of validity for PKK textbook for Junior High School. According to its aim, this study is applied study; According to its method, this study employs RD design; while according to its explanation, this study is quantitative descriptive research. Population of this study is Junior High School teacher in Semarang Regency. Sample, art teacher of National-standardized Junior High School in Semarang. Data was collected through questionnaire and FGD. Data analysis is using descriptive percentage. The result of the study: 23% Junior High School teachers were strongly agree to the material of PKK subject. 85% teacher stated that PKK textbook is strongly relevant while 15% said that it is relevant. Conclusion: 1) the average number of Junior High School teachers in Semarang Regency were strongly agree to implement PKK Subject; 2) the average number of teachers in Semarang Regency stated that the material was strongly relevant to be implemented. Suggestion: a. Teachers are expected not only to teach skills but also teach the soft skills related to family welfare. b. It is also recommended for the Department of Education and Culture, especially in Elementary Education in Semarang Regency to arrange such policy about the significance of PKK subject for students.

Abstract

Development model of study aimed to describe: level of identifying the meaning of welfare family; determinant of welfare family; needs analysis for poor family through FGD. The result of FGD then would be the foundation of planning the textbook and education model for poor family in village area. The subject of this study was 61 poor families in Wonosobo by the particular consideration of local government.The result of the study showed that the level of understanding the family welfare for poor family was Good with the percentage of 18.4%; Average of 52.0%; Fair of 20.9%; Poor of 8.7%. The determinants of family welfare based on the highest mean score for each indicator were: Praying (mean=3.48); Children Education (mean=3.30); Husband-wife communication (mean=3.16); The major determinant was prayer. On the other hand, the textbook material refer to the result of FGD such as: the identification of education and family welfare; interrelationship in the family; parent’s role in educating the children; family financial control; safety and health plan. From the result of the study, it is suggested that Local Government provide both formal and informal education facilities for poor family; Increase the quantity of teaching learning process and workshop especially for creative food processing to poor family. For poor family in village area, it is suggested that they have to improve their knowledge about family welfare.

Abstract

The practical module is one of the teaching materials, used as a guide for students. In this research, an easy, effective, and efficient practical module will be made so it can be used as a reference for practicel bakery subject in Food Science and Culinary Education Study Program at UNNES. In this research we used Research and Development (R&D) methods. With the development method developed by S. Thiagarajan et al, namely the four-D (4D) development method which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting FGDs with a material expert also a media expert to get some knowledge in order to the practical module being made properly. After the module being completed, validation will be carried out through questionnaires to three material experts and 3 media experts, which thoroughly documented. The analytical method used in this research were the aiken validity test and interrater reliability test using the Intraclass Correlat Coefficients (ICC) reliability. The results of the aiken validity test based on media experts were 0,84 with the criteria for a valid assessment having high validity. Meanwhile the results of the aiken validity test for material experts were 0,72 with the criteria for a valid assessment having moderate validity. The results of the media expert's ICC reliability test were 0,729, interpreted as the rater's agreement was quite good (moderate), and the results of the material expert ICC reliability test were 0,763, meaning that the rater agreement was good. The overall average value obtained identifies that the bakery practical module is "appropriate" to be used as a learning media because the overall average eligibility standard is categorized as "Good".
