Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research on atomic structure misconceptions, as well as identifying the best strategies to overcome them. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify, study, evaluate, and interpret research results related to misconceptions in atomic structure material at the high school level. This approach was chosen because it is able to provide a systematic and comprehensive overview of various relevant research, so that it can find patterns, trends and research gaps that exist over a certain period of time. The analysis focuses on the forms of misconceptions, causal factors, and learning strategies to overcome these misconceptions which are based on the results of literacy studies, especially those originating from 10 selected articles (which were selected based on SLR-based research methods). The research results show that there are misconceptions in the concept of atomic structure starting from the concept of the atomic model, the quantum mechanical model, the Aufbau principle, the Hund principle, the Pauli exclusion principle, to the sub-atomic concept of the composition of an atom. The results of this study provide important insight for teachers and curriculum developers regarding steps that can be taken to reduce misconceptions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of an inclusive learning model in sports matriculation to increase the active involvement of 3T students in college. This model is implemented through an experience-based approach, social interaction, and adaptation strategies designed. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires to measure the level of student involvement. The results of the study indicate that the inclusive learning model increases student participation in discussions, group work, and practice-based activities. Students experience increased social skills, especially in communication and teamwork. Student self-confidence also increases along with the implementation of learning strategies that encourage their active involvement. In terms of understanding the material, practice-based and experimental methods are proven to be more effective than conventional lectures. This study provides insight into the importance of an inclusive approach in sports matriculation to increase the involvement of 3T students in college.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the influence of emotions, especially anxiety and motivation, on the chemistry learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, involving seven students from various levels of education. Students of the class of 2024 experience academic anxiety related to their choice of major, inability to attend lectures, and uncertainty about the future. Meanwhile, final year students face anxiety about completing their studies and the challenges of entering the workforce. The results of the study show that excessive anxiety has an impact on low student engagement in learning, especially in class discussions and problem solving. Students with high anxiety tend to rely on passive learning methods and have difficulty understanding chemistry concepts in depth. In contrast, high motivation plays a role in increasing academic engagement, building better conceptual understanding, and encouraging students to be more active in finding solutions to learning difficulties. These findings emphasize the importance of learning strategies that can reduce academic anxiety and increase student motivation. A more interactive learning approach and emotional support from the academic environment have the potential to create a more effective and productive learning experience. Thus, this study provides insights for educational institutions to design more adaptive strategies in improving the quality of chemistry learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of scaffolding-based learning with multiple representations in improving students' understanding of atomic structure and electron configuration. The subjects of the study consisted of 42 students from the 3T area, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received learning with scaffolding based on multiple representations, while the control group received conventional learning. The results showed that there was a significant increase in conceptual understanding in the experimental group, with an average pretest score of 45.2 and a posttest score of 78.5. In addition, the scaffolding technique based on multiple representations was proven effective in reducing students' misconceptions about atomic structure and electron configuration, as well as increasing their learning motivation. Therefore, this learning strategy is recommended to be widely applied in chemistry learning, especially for students in the 3T area who have limited access to learning resources and low numeracy skills.

Abstract

The STEM Center for Teaching and Learning at Parahyangan Catholic University, in collaboration with Ruang Bergerak, organized a community outreach program as part of its Tridharma commitment. The program included seminars and hands-on training for science teachers from the MGMP (Subject Teachers Forum) in Salatiga. The goal was to introduce project-based learning (PBL) methods using a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach within the context of smart agriculture. This initiative aimed to help teachers foster essential 21st-century skills—such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration—that had noticeably declined during the pandemic. This program was designed to support teachers in implementing integrated, project-based learning that not only crosses disciplinary boundaries but also ties directly to measurable learning outcomes. Teachers were encouraged to connect the projects to real-world contexts, making assessments more meaningful and relevant to each subject area. Additionally, the smart agriculture project served as a practical application of P5 (Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) under Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum. Teachers were given the flexibility to adapt the prototype projects for further development in their own schools, aligning with each school’s unique goals and agreements. Over the course of two days, participating teachers learned how to design and execute contextual, problem-based STEM projects. They gained hands-on experience with technologies like Arduino and agricultural sensors. The program consisted of two main phases, the first involved expert-led workshops, and the second focused on collaborative project design based on local agricultural challenges. Despite the limited time, the program successfully fostered collaboration among teachers and expanded their understanding of how integrated, STEM-based learning can support both academic goals and character development through P5.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop Android-based learning media using a STEM approach to enhance students' problem-solving abilities. The learning media was developed using the 4D model and tested on 192 eighth-grade students from six junior high schools in Yogyakarta. The research results indicate that the developed learning media fulfills aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validity was confirmed through assessments by subject matter experts and media experts, scoring 82 and 73.5, respectively, falling into the categories of very good and good. Practicality was established through small-scale and large-scale tests, scoring 80.27 and 76.34, respectively, categorized as good in both instances. Effectiveness was determined through effectiveness tests, including one-sample t-test and mean different test. The one-sample t-test results indicated an improvement in students' problem-solving abilities with an average increase of 21.2769 in the control class and 42.5423 in the experimental class. The conclusion drawn from this research is that Android-based learning media using a STEM approach is effective in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities. Keywords: learning media, STEM, mobile application. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android dengan pendekatan STEM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Media pembelajaran dikembangkan dengan model 4D untuk diuji coba kepada 192 siswa kelas 8 dari 6 SMP di Yogyakarta. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dibuat memenuhi aspek valid, praktis, dan efektif. Aspek valid diperoleh melalui penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media dengan nilai 82 dan 73,5 serta masuk pada kategori sangat baik dan baik. Aspek praktis diperoleh melalui uji skala kecil dan uji skala besar dengan nilai 80,27 dan 76,34 serta masuk kategori baik dan baik. Aspek efektif diperoleh melalui uji efektivitas yang meliputi one sample t-test dan mean different test. Berdasarkan one sample t-test diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 21,2769 pada kelas control dan 42,5423 pada kelas eksperimen. Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperlengkapi guru melalui Pelatihan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek STEM untuk memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di SMA Katolik Yos Sudarso Karawang dengan membawakan topik STEM yaitu merancang sensor alarm gempa dalam pembuatan Smart City. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru dapat menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis STEM pada pembuatan Smart City untuk memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka. Dengan mengintegrasikan proyek ini, siswa terlibat dalam pembelajaran interdisipliner yang mendukung siswa mampu bernalar kritis, mandiri, gotong royong, dan kreatif. Pendekatan ini direkomendasikan sebagai strategi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum guna mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan masa depan dan menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Abstract

Cagar budaya merupakan warisan sejarah yang sarat nilai filosofi, seni, dan teknologi, serta memiliki potensi besar untuk dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Integrasi etnomatematika dalam pendidikan matematika menjadi penting sebagai upaya untuk menghubungkan konsep-konsep matematika dengan konteks budaya, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan relevan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi konsep matematika yang terkandung dalam cagar budaya Indonesia, khususnya pada objek seperti benteng, monumen, candi, artefak, prasasti, dan bangunan istana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan lima tahapan utama: identifikasi pertanyaan penelitian, penetapan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, strategi pencarian data, seleksi dan evaluasi artikel, serta analisis dan sintesis data. Data diperoleh dari artikel-artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam rentang 10 tahun terakhir (2014–2024) dan ditelusuri melalui basis data Google Scholar, ERIC, dan ResearchGate. Dari hasil penelusuran, diperoleh 19 artikel yang relevan dan dijadikan sebagai sumber studi primer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa objek-objek cagar budaya di Indonesia mengandung berbagai konsep matematika, seperti geometri bidang datar dan ruang, transformasi geometri, pengukuran, simetri lipat, kongruensi, dan kesebangunan. Konsep-konsep tersebut ditemukan dalam struktur arsitektur, ornamen, serta pola desain pada bangunan dan artefak budaya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa etnomatematika pada cagar budaya Indonesia memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai sumber belajar matematika kontekstual yang mampu memperkuat identitas budaya, meningkatkan literasi matematika, serta mendukung pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kehidupan siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tingkat kecemasan matematika serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebabnya pada mahasiswa baru program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) di Kampus Unesa 5. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik total sampling, yang melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa baru PGSD tahun akademik 2024/2025 sebanyak 157 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert lima poin yang mencakup empat dimensi kecemasan (mood, motorik, kognitif, dan somatik), serta satu pertanyaan terbuka untuk mendalami persepsi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa (69,4%) berada pada kategori kecemasan matematika sedang, sementara 18,5% menunjukkan kecemasan tinggi. Determinan utama yang memengaruhi kecemasan meliputi pengalaman belajar negatif di masa lalu, ketidakpahaman konsep dasar, gaya mengajar dosen yang monoton, rendahnya kepercayaan diri, serta tekanan sosial dan akademik. Temuan ini menguatkan hipotesis bahwa kecemasan matematika di kalangan mahasiswa calon guru bersifat kompleks dan multidimensional, serta membutuhkan intervensi pedagogis yang empatik dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android dengan pendekatan Etnomatematika guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa secara kontekstual dan interaktif. Pengembangan dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE melalui lima tahap: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Media ini menyajikan materi matematika dengan mengintegrasikan unsur budaya lokal dalam bentuk permainan cerita dan kuis interaktif, serta dilengkapi fitur leaderboard dan penghargaan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan kepraktisan diukur melalui angket dan wawancara kepada 15 siswa kelas IX dari salah satu sekolah berbasis budaya di Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media ini tergolong sangat baik dari aspek materi (skor 69,2), baik dari aspek media (skor 62), dan sangat baik dari respons siswa (skor 85,86). Wawancara siswa mendukung temuan bahwa media pembelajaran ini membantu mereka memahami konsep matematika dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis Android ini dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan potensial untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya.
