Abstract

Introduction: The increasing of elderly population often accopanied by a rise in cognitive disorders. Leptin is known to have a protective function against cognitive dectine in elderly. However, current finding regarding the role of leptin in cognitive function is vary, and has not been extensively discussed in Indonesia. Food record and antropometric assesment is conducted as an aditional analyses on subject. Aim: To determine the relationship between plasma leptin levels and cognitive function in the elderly in Jakarta. Methods: This is a cross sectional descriptive analytical research using purposive sampling as the sampling method. Subject are elderly residing in social welfare home, and being assessed using MOCA-INA instrument, IADL and GPAQ questionnaire, plasma leptin, body composition, antropometric and Food Record are measured. The data is analyzed through univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: Subject characteristic of age ranging from 60-74 years, with female as the majority (67.5%), normal nutritional status (46.2%), body fat ranging from 18.10 to 57.10 %, muscele mass 20.20 to 57.50 kg. Majority of subject do not smoke, have a low education level (≤ 12 year of education), engage in moderate physical activity, and having independent functional capacity. A total of 96.2% of the subject experience cognitive impairment. Plasma leptin levels ranging from 1.4 to 8.5 ng/mL, with median of 5.9 ng/mL. There is a significant relationship between leptin levels, body mass index, body weight, total body fat, education and IADL with cognitive function in the elderly in Jakarta. Discussion: The correlation between plasma leptin levels and cognitive function in the elderly in Jakarta, shows a moderately positive correlation with r value of 0.47 and a significance of 0.000. Abstract

Background:Uric acid is always present in the human body, when the rising levels (hyperuricemia) can cause complaints gouty arthritis. The cause of gout arthritis varies and is triggered by a diet high in purine. One diet high in purine include mlinjo (Gnetum gnemon linn) because it contains 50-150 mg of purines per 100 g of beans melinjo, with one of the forms are processed emping melinjo. Results of preliminary observations most people are less concerned with what they eat everyday including emping melinjo consumed as a snack when relaxing. They did not know that eating emping could lead to an increased risk of gout.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the consumption of emping melinjo with the incidence of gout in Wonosari Wadunggetas residents in the village of Klaten.The subjects were Wadunggetas Wonosari Klaten village residents over the age of 40 years a number of 30 respondents. The samples was conducted with a saturated sampling technique, namely by taking all members of the population being sampled because the population is small.Methods in this study isanalytical research design correlation to determine the relationship of chips melinjo consumption as independent variables (independent variable) and the incidence of gout as the dependent variable (dependent variable). Data obtained by questionnaire and observation method. The data collected is then analyzed with chi square test with α 0.05.The results of the study there were 9 respondents with the level of consumption of chips often, all experienced gout, 14 respondents with a rare level of consumption of chips, 11 experienced gout and 3 are not experiencing gout and 7 respondents who do not eat emping no suffer from gout. After Chi-Square test with SPSS version 16.0 with α = 5% (0:05) so obtained p 0.000 p value of <0.05, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the level of consumption of emping melinjo with the incidence of gout in the village Wadunggetas Wonosari Klaten.Keywords: Emping Mlinjo Comsumtion and Gout Disease

Abstract

Ergonomics hazard in the tofu industry has not been specifically discussed. The purpose of this article is to provide a literature review related to ergonomic hazards in the tofu industry in Indonesia. Ten articles in the last five years relevant to the topic of tofu industrial hazard ergonomics were obtained from Google Scholar and then analyzed. The results obtained by the literature generally discuss hazards in this industry in general without distinguishing between physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards. There are 28 body points that are often complained about in the tofu industry. There are three main things needed to ensure occupational safety and health related to ergonomic hazards in the tofu industry. These three things include a physical approach, education, and the provision of first aid facilities for occupational safety and health in the tofu industry.

Abstract

Workplace safety in the construction sector remains a critical concern, primarily due to low compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards. To address this, this study develops and evaluates a real-time PPE monitoring system, conducting a comparative analysis of two state-of-the-art object detection models: YOLOv8s and YOLOv11s. The system is designed to detect three essential PPE items: helmets, masks, and vests, and both models were trained on a custom dataset of 9,202 augmented images over 200 epochs. The final evaluation on an unseen test set revealed highly competitive performance. While YOLOv8s achieved a marginally higher mAP@0.5 (90.8%), YOLOv11s demonstrated superior precision (92.0%) and better performance on the stricter mAP@0.5:0.95 metric (54.4%). Based on this nuanced trade-off and its significantly higher computational efficiency (15% fewer parameters), YOLOv11s was selected as the optimal model. The chosen model achieved a real-time inference speed of approximately 112 FPS. A functional web-based prototype was developed using Flask to demonstrate the system's practical application. These findings confirm that YOLOv11s offers a more balanced and efficient solution for automating PPE compliance monitoring and highlight that a holistic evaluation beyond a single metric is crucial for deploying robust computer vision systems in real-world safety applications.

Abstract

Indonesia faces food security challenges in several regions, and the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), internet of thing (IoT), and renewable energy in the agricultural sector has not been optimal. This research aims to develop an integrated smart farming system, including monitoring, controlling, and prediction features based on renewable energy to support national food security, especially for chili plants. The method used in the research is an experiment, starting from analysis, design, manufacture, and testing. The result of the research is a smart farming prototype that has been tested with experts, partners and farmers. The results of expert testing obtained that the monitoring feature, in this case the accuracy is 4.36 out of 5 for all sensors, as well as the controlling and prediction features have met technical, functional, and practical needs. The results of the usability evaluation using the system usability scale (SUS) method involving partners and farmers obtained an average SUS score of 73.125. This result is categorized as an excellent rating and can be given a grade B and the acceptance range is high. So, from this study it can be concluded that the smart farming prototype can be used by chili farmers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan arsitektur chatbot berbasis Natural Language Processing guna mengotomatisasi layanan informasi akademik. Latar belakang permasalahan menunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi akademik yang masih bersifat manual seringkali menimbulkan keterlambatan, beban administratif yang tinggi, serta keterbatasan akses informasi di lembaga pendidikan. Inovasi teknologi chatbot berbasis NLP menjadi solusi yang menjanjikan untuk menyediakan layanan yang cepat, akurat, dan mudah diakses secara otomatis dan real-time. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan prototyping dalam perancangan arsitektur sistem. Arsitektur modular dikembangkan dengan mengintegrasikan Telegram Bot API sebagai antarmuka utama, Node.js sebagai backend untuk mengelola alur komunikasi, dan library Node-NLP sebagai NLP Engine yang bertanggung jawab untuk intent recognition dan entity extraction. Data informasi akademik dari institusi pendidikan, seperti jadwal pelajaran, nilai siswa, dan informasi pembayaran, dikelola dalam knowledge base berbasis JSON. Jurnal ini akan memaparkan secara rinci detail perancangan arsitektur, justifikasi pemilihan teknologi yang digunakan, serta alur kerja sistem yang memungkinkan interaksi alami dengan pengguna. Arsitektur yang diusulkan diharapkan mampu menjadi fondasi kuat untuk implementasi chatbot yang efektif dalam konteks layanan informasi akademik, berkontribusi dalam mengurangi beban kerja staf administrasi dan mempercepat distribusi informasi penting kepada pengguna.

Abstract

Kebocoran gas merupakan ancaman serius yang dapat menimbulkan ledakan, kebakaran, serta gangguan kesehatan. Salah satu solusi efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan mengembangkan sistem deteksi kebocoran gas berbasis Internet of Things. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring dan pengendalian kebocoran gas menggunakan sensor mq-2 yang diintegrasikan dengan platform Blynk. Sensor mq-2 dipilih karena memiliki sensitivitas tinggi terhadap gas dan asap, harga yang terjangkau, serta kemudahan integrasi dengan mikrokontroler. Sementara itu, platform Blynk memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi gas secara real-time melalui smartphone, lengkap dengan notifikasi peringatan dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development. Metode Rapid Application Development adalah metode pengembangan sistem yang menekankan pembuatan prototipe secara cepat dan perbaikan terus-menerus berdasarkan masukan pengguna. Dalam metode ini, terdapat empat tahapan utama yaitu perencanaan kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengembangan & umpan balik, dan implementasi. Hasil dari percobaan menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil mendeteksi kebocoran gas secara akurat dan merespons dengan cepat sesuai ambang batas konsentrasi. Pada saat kebocoran gas melebihi 1000 ppm, sistem secara otomatis mengaktifkan buzzer, menggerakkan servo, dan mengirim notifikasi melalui Blynk. Selain itu, data konsentrasi gas berhasil ditampilkan secara real-time melalui antarmuka aplikasi, mendukung sistem sebagai alat peringatan dini yang efektif. Dengan demikian, sistem ini mampu memberikan respons cepat terhadap potensi kebocoran gas, serta meningkatkan tingkat keamanan dan kenyamanan pengguna. Oleh karena itu, sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pencegahan bahaya kebocoran gas.

Abstract

Background: Burn injuries cause significant physical trauma and complex inflammatory responses, accounting for more than 300,000 deaths per year. Probiotics may help modulate inflammation in burn patients by improving biomarkers such as hs-CRP and IgA levels. This case report aims to investigate the effect of probiotics supplementation on reducing inflammation in burn patients. Methods & Materials: A literature search was on three large databases: PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. MeSH terms, advanced search, and eligibility criteria were used for title and abstract screening after removing duplicates. Critical assessment tools and levels of evidence of the final articles are based on the Oxford Center for Evidence-Based Medicine. Results: Two randomized controlled trials (RCTs) met the PICO and eligibility criteria. One RCT found that probiotics supplementation significantly reduced hs-CRP levels (21.38 ± 44.45 vs 36.36 ± 79.03; p < 0.001) and improved wound healing in burn patients. The other RCT found that single and mixed strain probiotic administration significantly increased IgA levels (p < 0.001 and p = 0.025, respectively) in burn patients. Conclusions: Probiotics supplementation demonstrates significant benefits in reducing systemic inflammation and enhancing immune function. Further research is necessary to provide recommendations of probiotic use in burn care.

Abstract

Perkembangan kafe modern di Kota Solo dengan pilihan yang beragam menyulitkan pendatang baru, wisatawan, dan mahasiswa dalam memilih tempat yang sesuai dengan preferensi mereka. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi kafe berbasis web menggunakan metode Content-Based Filtering untuk membantu pengguna menemukan kafe yang relevan secara efisien. Data dikumpulkan melalui web scraping Google Maps, studi pustaka, dan observasi pola pengguna. Sistem dibangun menggunakan pendekatan Rapid Application Development (RAD) dan algoritma Cosine Similarity berdasarkan tujuh atribut utama. Hasil perhitungan dan pengujian menunjukkan sistem mampu memberikan rekomendasi dengan nilai kemiripan tinggi (0.9977) dan telah berhasil diimplementasikan dalam bentuk aplikasi web dengan dua peran pengguna: umum dan admin. Sistem ini mampu menyajikan rekomendasi kafe sesuai preferensi pengguna berdasarkan pengujian black-box, yang menunjukkan sistem berjalan sesuai fungsinya dan menghasilkan rekomendasi dengan nilai kemiripan tinggi.

Abstract

Hydroponic farming is gaining popularity in urban areas due to its efficient use of space. However, this system requires careful management of nutrients, temperature, and pH, which are vital for plant growth but complex to manage manually. This study's purpose is to enhance hydroponic management, temperature, and pH. The study uses a Node MCU ESP8266 microcontroller and sensors to collect data, and the system is integrated with Telegram for easy monitoring. The prototyping methodology used in this study includes stages from analysis to testing and implementation. Test results show that the system accurately blends and adjusts pH and nutrient levels, and is compared to digital measuring instruments. This IoT-based, efficient solution for urban farmers and hydroponic practitioners significantly improves their ability to manage nutrient and environmental conditions, enabling more innovative, sustainable urban farming practices.
