Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is the students don’t do participation in discussion and still low comprehend mathematic concept.The purpose of this research is to find out students comprehension by using Numbered Head Together in learning cooperative with quiz is better than conventional learning at grade eighth at MTsN Model Padang. This is an experimental research.Technigue of random sampling eighthfour grade class was selected as the experimental and control classes of eighthfive grade.The instrument that is used Quiz and essay form. The hypothesis test is U Mann-whitney test is obtained Zhitung = -2,6616 is less than Ztabel = -1,65. The hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, students comprehension by using Numbered Head Together in cooperative learning with Quiz is better than conventional learning at grade eighth at MTsN Model Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low and the responsibility of students who lack the given task during the learning process takes place. The study aims to determine whether the student understanding of mathematical concepts with application of active learning strategies Learning Tournament type better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts that apply conventional teaching eighth grade students MTsN Lubuk Sikaping. This type of research is experimental research , the design of randomized trials on the subject. Research instrument is a test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Form of the test used is in narrative form with 0,852 test reliability. The data analysis technique used is the one party t test . Based on the hypothesis test results obtained ttabel = 1.6685 and thitung = 2.966 . Hypothesis was accepted because t_hitung > ttabel, so that the hypothesis is accepted at significance level α = 0.05 . Could be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts with application of active type of strategies Learning Tournament pembelajran better understanding of the mathematical concepts with conventional learning students in class VIII MTsN Lubuk Sikaping.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated because students skill to share information in learning or exercises not well and students understanding of mathematical conceptual are low. This research aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical conceptual with implementing active learning Practice Rehearsal Pairs type better than understanding of the mathematical conceptual of the conventional learning in class VII SMPN 17 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in students understanding on mathematics concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained t=3,27 was bigger than ,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of active learning Practice Rehearsal Pairs type could improve the students understanding on mathematics conceptual better than the conventional one.

Abstract

This research was backgrounded by students understanding on mathematic concepts was low. This research was aimed to see what is the students understanding on mathematic concept by using Sucker Ball game better than the students understanding on mathematic concept by using conventional learning at Eighth grade students of SMPN 33 Padang academic year 2013/2014. This study was experimental research by random selecting group of sample. The technique of data nalysis used t-test by using MINITAB. Refering to the data analysis that had been clone it was found P-value = 0,042 was lower than α = 0,05. It can be summarized that the student understanding on mathematic concept using Sucker Ball game better than the student understanding on mathematic concept using conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research were background by the students who passive in process of study and students’ comprehension of mathematical concept that still low. This research were aim to know how to increased students activity use Teknik Pasar and also to know whether students’ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing  Teknik Pasar was better than implementing conventional learning in class XI IPA SMAN 15 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random to subject. Observation sheet analysis result obtained that students’ activity was increased in every meeting. Hypothesis test used t-test one way with minitab Software, obtained that tvalue = 1,94 and ttable = 1,668 with  = 0,05. Because of tvalue  ttable, then H0 was rejected. It can be conclude that students’ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing Teknik Pasar was better than students’ comperehension of  mathematical concept by implementing conventional in class XI IPA SMAN 15 Padang.

Abstract

Dari hasil preliminary research phase, meliputi analisis masalah dan studi literature, diperoleh kesimpulan mahasiswa memerlukan bahan ajar penunjang berupa Lembar Kerja pada materi Limit, Turunan dan Integral pada perkuliahan Matematika Dasar STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat program Studi Pendidikan Biologi. Kemudian dilanjutkan pada prototyping phase adalah tahap pembuatan prototype, yakni Lembar kerja yang dirancang terdiri dari cover, halaman petunjuk penggunaan lembar kerja, materi, contoh soal, soal dan latihan. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan prototyping phase dari penelitian pengembangan (model Plomp), yakni melakukan validasi isi dan konstruk (tinjauan ahli) terhadap prototipe lembar kerja, menganalisis, dan merevisi prototipe berdasarkan hasil tinjauan ahli. Dalam kegiatan validasi lembar kerja melibatkan 1 orang validator. Validitas Lembar Kerja mencakup aspek tujuan, rasional, isi lembar kerja, karakteristik, kesesuaian dan bentuk fisik. Data diperoleh dari lembar validasi yang diisi oleh validator. Data tersebut diolah secara kuantitatif dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah rerata validasi sebesar 4,17 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Ini berarti Lembar Kerja yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa tidak berani bertanya terhadap materi pelajaran yang tidak dipahami dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe questions students have lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN. Terpilih menjadi kelas sampel adalah kelas VIII.8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII.5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 0,2159 dan ttabel 1,671 dapat disimpulkan H0 yaitu pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe questions students have hampir sama dengan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan pemebelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN 2 Lubuk Basung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa secara umum tergolong sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar matematika siswa yang masih dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dan pembelajaran kelompok belum terlaksana secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah menerapkan model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) lebih baik daripada sebelum menerapkan  model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada siswa kelas X TKJ 1 SMKN 1 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre – Experimental Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling pada kelas X TKJ 1 SMKN 1 Bonjol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes akhir. Bentuk tes yang diberikan berbentuk essay. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji – t satu pihak. Hasil analisis tes akhir diperoleh dari uji hipotesis thitung = 1,96 dan ttabel = 1,69 dengan taraf nyata  = 0,05. Dari hasil thitung > ttabel maka H0 ditolak artinya H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah menerapakan model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) lebih baik daripada sebelum menerapkan model  Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada siswa kelas X TKJ 1 SMKN 1 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman Timur.Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, Numbered Heads Together

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis merupakan kemampunan dasar yang harus dikuasai siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional yang bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan kemandirian belajar siswa pada kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Lubuk Basung. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pemahaman konsep matematis dan angket kemandirian belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kemandirian belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan arah hubungan positif sebesar 0,845, artinya semakin baik kemandirian belajar maka akan baik juga kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. The ability to understand mathematical concepts is a basic ability that must be mastered by students. This study uses a correlational approach that aims to see the relationship between understanding mathematical concepts and student learning independence in class VIII one of the SMP in Lubuk Basung. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The instruments used were tests of understanding mathematical concepts and questionnaires for student learning independence. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between student learning independence and the ability to understand mathematical concepts with a positive relationship direction of 0.845, meaning that the better the independent learning, the better the ability to understand mathematical concepts.
