Abstract

The transformation of learning media from paper and statistical presentations to digital interactive formats has become an important part of efforts to improve mutual teaching and student engagement. One form of innovation that has emerged is the digital flipbook. This study aims to examine the advantages or positive impacts of using flipbooks in learning through a systematic literature review approach with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. The search strategy was carried out through databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect with the keywords "flipbook", "advantages", and "elementary school students". The selected articles were selected based on certain inclusion and exclusion criteria, including publications in the last five years, empirical studies, and the context of flipbook use in learning at the elementary level. From the screening results, several studies were obtained showing that the use of AR can increase student engagement, strengthen reading comprehension, and spark interest in material literacy. This study concludes that Augmented Reality is a learning medium that can provide advantages or positive impacts for students, although further, more in-depth research is needed to measure its long-term impact

Abstract

Principal transfers are a common phenomenon in the Indonesian education system and have significant implications for school management and performance. In this study, school performance refers specifically to teacher performance, learning quality, work discipline, and the effectiveness of program implementation. This study aims to analyze the impact of principal transfers on strategic planning, human resource management, and teacher performance at junior high schools in Siantan District, Anambas Islands Regency. This research employed a qualitative case study approach conducted at SMPN 5 Bukit Tambun and SMPN 2 Siantan. Participants consisted of 2 principals, 12 teachers, and 4 administrative staff selected purposively. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data reduction, categorization, and thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that principal transfers can generate positive changes, including the development of a more adaptive vision and mission, the strengthening of a work-discipline culture, and more systematic teacher performance management. Transfers also enhance teacher motivation through structured supervision, professional development activities, and increased stakeholder participation. These improvements contribute to better instructional quality and more organized program implementation. However, excessively frequent transfers risk disrupting the continuity of long-term school programs. Therefore, principal transfers should be implemented selectively and strategically, with clear planning and minimum tenure policies to ensure leadership stability and protect the sustainability of long-term educational programs while still promoting school improvement

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the role of philosophy of science in understanding and responding to the dynamics of social change through conceptual interactions between epistemology, ontology, and axiology. Using qualitative methods and a philosophical-hermeneutic approach, this study examines classical and contemporary works of philosophy of science to reveal the meaning contained in the dialectic of these three dimensions. The results of the analysis show that epistemology functions as a foundation for acquiring and validating knowledge, ontology affirms that social reality is constructive and constantly undergoing reconstruction, while axiology provides direction for values and ethics so that knowledge does not lose its moral orientation. The interaction between epistemology, ontology, and axiology forms a dynamic dialectic resembling the Hegelian framework (thesis, antithesis, synthesis), resulting in a new understanding that is more reflective and transformative. This dialectic is an important foundation in formulating strategies for the development of science that are relevant to the needs of contemporary society. In addition to contributing theoretically to the enrichment of the study of the philosophy of science, this research also offers practical implications in the fields of education, public policy, and social development. Thus, the philosophy of science is not merely a theoretical reflection, but an intellectual compass that guides society to remain grounded in the integrity of knowledge, clarity of reality, and commitment to human values amid the tide of global transformation

Abstract

This study examines the effects of AI-based learning tools on Arabic language learning among Arabic students, with student engagement and educational content quality as mediators. This study used a quantitative causal-explanatory design and administered an online questionnaire to students, teachers, and education professionals (N=960). Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data, there was a large direct positive effect of AI tools on proficiency and an even stronger positive mediating effect of student engagement. Unexpectedly, perceptions of educational content quality were strongly negatively associated with proficiency, suggesting that a mismatch between content design and the learner’s sociocultural context may impede learning even when the pedagogical design is sound. The results highlight that the success of AI in language learning is not merely a function of the state of the technology, but, more importantly, a function of pedagogically sound content and its continued capacity to promote profound engagement. This research enhances the science of technology-enhanced learning by proposing a refined model for English language education in Egypt and by providing implementation-oriented suggestions for furthering practice, calling for a shift from technocentric implementation to learner-centric orchestration of AI in Arabic language education.

Abstract

The urgency of transparency and accountability in the management of School Operational Assistance Funds (BOS) has increased in line with public demands for clean and effective education governance, especially in island regions with limited facilities, human resources, and access to technology. This study aims to examine strategies for implementing transparency and accountability in the management of BOS based on Education Reports in schools in island regions. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that transparency is realized through open budget information, RKAS socialization, and periodic reporting, while accountability is reflected in transaction recording, internal verification, external audits, and the use of the ARKAS application. The main obstacles include low human resource capacity, minimal digital infrastructure, and a lack of understanding of the Education Report Card system. Strategic efforts were made through internal training, collaboration with the community, and budget priorities for improving literacy, numeracy, and teacher professional development. In conclusion, the integration of BOS and the Education Report Card contributed to improving the effectiveness of fund use, learning quality, and public trust, making it a suitable model for education fund management in 3T areas.
