Abstract

Seeing the close relationship between the issue of the role of persona thinking educational praxis, especially if the patterns of thought that are innovative and address the needs of the times. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi (Said Nursi) is a man of ideas fundamental and comprehensive, such as educational, political, social, and religious; more so in most of the Risale-i Nur contains many radical ideas and relevant to the current Islamic education. Secondly, there is a kind of line the main idea (philosophical) education as outlined Said Nursi, methods and approaches in an effort to shape the personality and instill the value of education based on the principle teachings of Islam.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to identify the description of teacher activity in performing steps of simulation method added by giving reward, children activity in learning as well as the result of children?s religious and moral values development in imitating prayer movement. This research is qualitative that using classroom action research type that taking place on Akhlaqul Karimah Kindergarten East Banjarmasin District group A. The research results show the improvement of religious and moral values in imitating prayer movement using simulation method and giving reward can improve teacher?s and children activity from cycle I improved to cycle II and the development results of children?s religious and moral values from Cycle I and Cycle II also improved.

Abstract

This paper examines the emergence of non-normative sexual orientations in contemporary Indonesian films. Unlike the representation of sexuality in New Order Indonesian films, which centred on the female reproductive role and presented the nation as constructed of heterosexual families rather than individual citizens, a number of 200()s Indonesian films can be seen as negotiations of new understandings of sexual diversity and individual subjectivity. These films represent a challenge to monolithic and essentialist constructions of sexuality in Indonesia, and portray characters and situations in ways that seem to fulfil the five selection criteria which Griffin and Benshoff (2006) apply to the definition of 'queer' cinema. As such, they are indicative of a paradigm shift in Indonesian cinema, which needs to be studied in association with broader patterns of social and political change. The paper describes three categories in the representation of sexual minorities in contemporary Indonesian films. The first category is represented by films such as Arisanl and , Gie, which portray characters and situations deal with male homosexual subjectivity or homoeroticism. The second category concerns films of this type that portray female characters, such as Detik Terakhirand TentangDia. In the third category are films which depict waria (male to female transgender characters) and transsexuals, represented by Panggil Aku Puspa and Realita Cinta dan Rock n Roll. The paper examines these films in the light of Boellstorff's (2005) study of gay and lesbi communities and subjectivities in Indonesia, as a way of situating them in a larger cultural picture. It suggests that the makers of these films are attempting to change the perception of their audiences about non-normative sexualities, and investigates the strategic devices used by the film makers to subvert censorship codes and social taboos in a country where homosexual behaviour is accommodated, but homosexual identities remain outside the range of socially and culturally-sanctioned subjectivities.

Abstract

The construction of traditional gender roles has affected the understanding of being feminine and masculine. This understanding seems to influence gender performance in the film Mrs. Doubtfire. This one­hour­and­fifty­seven­minute film was directed by Chris Columbus. This study is conducted to examine how gender performativity is illustrated in the film and what ideology lies within the film. Queer theory, especially gender performativity by Judith Butler is used as the framework of the study. The study is done by observing and analysing chosen scenes from the film focusing on the performance of Daniel Hillard as Euphegenia Doubtfire. Narrative aspect of the film is not only the main concern; the non­narrative is also part of the analysis especially on costume, makeup, performance and color. The main finding of this study is this film in one hand celebrates traditional gender roles but on the other hand promotes gender as performance. Femininity is pictured as fluid. Therefore, it is also a performativity. The contestation between those two opposing ideas is smoothly wrapped through amusing film such as Mrs. Doubtfire. Abstrak: Film Mrs. Doubtfire karya Chris Columbus menampilkan konstruksi yang berbeda dengan konstruksi peran gender yang telah menjadi mainstream. Berdurasi 1 jam dan 57 menit, film ini menampilkan konstruksi maskulinitas dan femininitas yang dapat saling bertukar, cair, dan tidak baku. Studi ini mengkaji dua pertanyaan utama. Pertama, bagaimana konstruksi peran gender digugat melalui performativitas gender? Kedua, ideologi apa yang terdapat dalam film? Teori Queer terutama gender performativitas yang dikemukakan oleh Judith Butler menjadi kerangka penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengobservasi dan menganalisis adegan terpilih dengan berfokus pada penampilan Daniel Hillard sebagai Euphegenia Doubtfire. Aspek naratif dalam film bukan satu­satunya perhatian utama. Aspek non­naratif juga menjadi bagian analisis kostum, tata rias, penampilan, dan warna. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa film ini pada satu sisi mengonfirmasi peran gender yang tradisional, tetapi di lain pihak juga mencoba menawarkan performativitas gender. Ideologi film ini menggambarkan femininitas sebagai sesuatu yang cair sehingga femininitas juga sesuatu yang sifatnya performativitas. Kontestasi antara kedua hal tersebut disajikan dengan menarik dalam film Mrs. Doubtfire. Kata­Kata Kunci: konstruksi gender; performativitas gende; teori queer

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the students' perceptions of the teaching ability of teachers of Economics in Class XI Social Sciences Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Mempawah Timur 2017/2018. The method in this research is the descriptive method. This is an ex post facto research. The population in this research is 129 student?s. The student?s of samples in this research is 60 student?s. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The conclusion of this study is that students 'perceptions of teachers' teaching ability in the field of study are included in both categories in four competencies, namely pedagogic competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. Suggestions that can be connected are firstly, the teacher of Madrasah Aliyah Timur Timur Economics is expected to increase understanding and experience of pedagogic competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence to support the success of teaching and learning through microteaching exercises. Secondly, besides that teachers are also expected to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons by searching the literature to libraries or the internet to access actual information.  Keywords:       Perception,  Pedagogic Competencies, Personality Competencies, Social Competencies, Professional Competencies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource competencies, the application of regional accounting systems, the adoption and utilization of information technology on the quality of financial reports of local governments partially or simultaneously. in this study, the sample taken was 59 people from 9 regional work units (SKPD) consisting of financial sub-departments and accounting staff. Data collection is done through direct observation and surveys obtained by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. This research uses quantitative research methods. The results of the first research show that the competence of human resources, and the use of information technology have a positive and significant effect on the quality of the financial statements of the local government while the application of the regional accounting system does not affect the quality of the financial statements of the Lumajang regency. the competency of human resources simultaneously, the application of the regional accounting system and the use of information technology have a positive and significant effect on the quality of the financial statements of the Lumajang district government.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the implications of environmental ethics on the economic welfare of the community after the operation of a mining company in Tabalong Regency. In this study the authors used a descriptive analysis method using primary data and secondary information. The results showed that the environmental ethics of the people of Tabalong Regency had negative implications on the economic welfare of the community. The reason is the tendency of people who have anthropocentrism perspective on the environment. The perspective of anthropocentrism widens economic inequality in the people of Tabalong Regency. This is because welfare is only centered on certain people. This gap shows that the goal of economic activities for the mashlaha is not achieved, and the expectation of long-term contribution projections, namely trickle-down effects and multiplier effects on the economy also does not occur.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengetahui implikasi etika lingkungan terhadap kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat setelah beroperasinya perusahaan tambang di Kabupaten Tabalong. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan menggunakan data primer dan informasi sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etika lingkungan masyarakat Kabupaten Tabalong berimplikasi negatif terhadap kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat. Penyebabnya adalah kecenderungan masyarakat yang mempunyai cara pandang antroposentrisme terhadap lingkungan. Cara pandang antroposentrisme memperlebar kesenjangan ekonomi di masyarakat Kabupaten Tabalong. Hal ini dikarenakan kesejahteraan itu hanya berpusat pada orang tertentu saja. Kesenjangan ini menunjukkan bahwa tujuan kegiatan perekonomian untuk ke-mashlahat-an tidak tercapai, serta harapan akan proyeksi kontribusi jangka panjang, yaitu trickle-down effect (tetesan ke bawah) dan multiplier-effect (efek berganda) terhadap perekonomian juga tidak terjadi.

Abstract

The emergence of young generation filmmakers who are more confident in depicting gender and sexual issues after the Soeharto era (1998), significantly changes the construction of sexual diversity in 2003-2006 Indonesian films. One of the considerable phenomena is the personal experience and social commitment to support sexual minorities such as gay and lesbian issues. At the same time Indonesian queer communities strive to read the discourse of homosexuality in different way. Physical contact and even intimacy between persons of the same-sex, in both public and private spaces, was common practice in Indonesian cultures, and did not carry any suggestion of homoerotic desire. In this Riri Riza?s film, Soe Hok Gie, however, cinematic technique, narrative and dialogue all contribute to an eroticising of same-sex relationships that is particularly perceptible in cultures that previously regarded physical and emotional interactions between persons of the same-sex as unremarkable. This article based on Benshoff and Griffin?s (2006) theory on queer film. Abstrak: Perkembangan film Indonesia setelah tumbangnya rezim Soeharto menunjukkan adanya fenomena di kalangan sutradara muda untuk mengeksplorasi tema tentang gender dan seksualitas. Isu tentang seksual minoritas seperti seksualitas gay dan lesbian adalah salah satu ciri yang cukup menonjol dalam film-film yang diproduksi setelah tahun 2003. Pada saat yang sama, penonton queer (seksualitas nonnormatif) terutama yang berasal dari komunitas queer membaca scene sebuah film terutama yang menampilkan kontak fisik dan keintiman antara orang-orang sesama jenis dengan cara yang baru. Dalam tradisi budaya Indonesia, kontak fisik dan keintiman itu tidak diterjemahkan dalam sebuah hubungan homoerotika . Pembacaan yang berbeda ditunjukkan pembaca dalam film Soe Hok Gie karya Riri Riza. Artikel ini menggunakan teori Queer Film yang dikemukakan oleh Benshoff dan Griffin (2006). Abstract

This study is conducted to examine the portrayal of a lesbian continuum in Sarah Waters? Fingersmith. To conduct the analysis, there are two research questions: first, how is the construction of lesbian continuum portrayed in the relationship between Susan Trinder and Maud Lilly and how does lesbian continuum become a strategy to negotiate compulsory heterosexuality. In doing the analysis, the theory of lesbian continuum which is proposed by Adrienne Rich will be used to elaborate the novel. This study is a qualitative research where the data are taken from the novel Fingersmith, library research, journals, and other relevant sources. To gain the comprehensive analysis, this study uses some methods which are: close reading, postulation the statements of the problems, data classification, and analysis using the lesbian continuum theory, supporting analysis through library research, books, and academic journals. This study finds that the characters of Susan Trinder and Maud Lilly can be identified as having a double life which constructs the lesbian continuum. Moreover, the lesbian continuum becomes a strategy to negotiate compulsory heterosexuality with denial and negotiation of women?s oppression. Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji representasi lesbian continuum dalam novel Sarah Waters yang berjudul Fingersmith. Dua pertanyaan utama penelitian ini adalah (1) bagaimana konstruksi lesbian continuum direpresentasikan dalam hubungan antara tokoh Susan Trinder dan Maud Lily dalam novel Fingersmith dan (2) bagaimana lesbian continuum menjadi strategi untuk menghadapi compulsory heterosexuality dalam novel Fingersmith. Teori lesbian continuum oleh Adrienne Rich akan menjadi teori utama untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Menggunakan teknik pembacaan novel dan analisis pustaka yang bersumber dari jurnal dan sumber lain yang mendukung. Untuk mendapatkan data yang komprehensip, metode yang dipakai adalah close reading, menjabarkan pertanyaan, klasifikasi data, dan analisis menggunakan teori lesbian continuum, analisis didukung menggunakan penelitian pustaka, buku dan jurnal. Dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan hal-hal berikut: Pertama, tokoh Susan Trinder dan Maud Lily diidentifikasi memiliki kehidupan ganda (double life), yang merupakan ciri dari representasi Lesbian Continuum. Kedua, lesbian continuum adalah strategi untuk bertahan dalam masyarakat dengan cara menyangkal (denial) adanya relasi seksual di antara mereka dan untuk melawan tekanan terhadap perempuan pada masa itu. Abstract

Dunia Waria menjadi salah satu tema yang muncul dalam perkembangan film Indonesia pasca Orde Baru. Penelitian ini mengkaji dua film dokumenter dan sebuah film fiksi yaitu Betty Bencong Slebor karya Benyamin Sueb (1978) serta dua film dokumenter Renita­Renita karya Tony Trimarsanto (2006) dan Ngudal Piwulang Wandu karya Kukuh Yudha Karnanta (2009). Meng­ gunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan teori queer dalam membaca media film, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari ketiga film tersebut terlihat perbedaan dalam memaknai tubuh dan gender. Tokoh Sholeh dalam Ngudal Piwulang Wandu berharap suatu hari nanti kembali menjadi lanang sejati, menikah secara heteroseksual dan memiliki anak. Renita membayangkan tubuh dan identitas gender sebagai perempuan sempurna, sedangkan Betty terlihat menikmati interplay antara tubuh feminine dan maskulinnya. Tubuh dalam konteks ini dapat dilihat sebagai suatu con­ tinuum, perpaduan antara femininitas dan maskulinitas, bukan suatu entitas yang statis. Perbe­ daan ketiga tokoh utama dalam memandang tubuh, seksualitas, dan gender mereka juga mere­ fleksikan bahwa tidak ada identitas dan entitas tunggal dari waria. Abstract: The growing visibility of waria/male to female transgender has become one of the do­ dominant features in Indonesia?s contemporary film industry. The research examines three waria films: Tony Trimarsanto?s Renita­Renita (2006), Kukuh Yudha Karnanta?s Ngudal Piwulang Wan­ du (2009), and Benyamin Sueb?s Betty Bencong Slebor (1978). Two basic research questions are, firstly: how is the fluidity of masculinity and femininity represented; secondly how do the waria per­ceive themselves (self­identity) in a heterosexual culture. Queer film theory will be used in analyzing the film diegesis. The research finds the fluidity and continuum of the waria main characters in de­fining the meaning of the self and their bodies. This fluidity offers a playful negotiation to the essen­tialist concept of gender binary system. Key Words: waria, film, gender identity
