Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition characterized by the failure to thrive in toddlers, attributed to chronic malnutrition, resulting in shorter stature relative to their age. Mothers play a crucial role in the care of stunted toddlers.Objective: This study aimed to explore and describe the experiences of mothers in caring for stunted toddlers, employing a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach.Methods: The participants in this study comprised ten mothers serving as the primary caregivers for stunted toddlers aged between 19 and 36 years. Participants  were purposively selected, with criteria including being the primary caregiver and a willingness to participate. Data collection involved interviews and observations, and the analysis was then conducted using the Collaizi technique.Results: The findings of this study revealed six overarching themes: breastfeeding history, variations in complementary feeding, a spectrum of emotions experienced by mothers, wishes  for their children, the need for a robust support system, and barriers to feeding. Mothers' experiences in caring for stunted toddlers can provide valuable insights into their needs so that interventions can be designed to address the problems faced by other mothers of stunted toddlers.Conclusion: Mothers' experiences in caring for stunted toddlers can provide valuable insights into their needs so that interventions can be designed to address the problems faced by other mothers of stunted toddlers.

Abstract

Stunting adalah gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak pada anak yang terutama disebabkan karena kekurangan asupan gizi dalam waktu lama. Salah satu strategi penagggulanan stunting yang digalakkan pemerintah adalah gerakan konvergensi stunting. Berdasarkan hasil Studi Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) 2021 angka stunting Di RL mencapai 26 persen. Penderita Stunting pada anak Di Rejang Lebong tercatat sebanyak 400 orang tersebar di 15 kecamatan. Angka ini merupakan yang tertinggi di Provinsi Bengkulu. Di Puskesmas Perumnas didapatkan 4 anak stunting dan 9 balita dengan berat badan di bawah garis merah. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan peran pemuda dalam penanggulangan stunting. MetodeM; Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli sampai dengan Desember 2025. Adapun metodse yang dilakukan adalah; Pendekatan teoritis yang terdiri dari pemaparan materi di ruangan belajar, diskusi, simulasi dan tanya jawab. Pendekatan praktik terdiri dari penguasaan teknik deteksi dini stunting dan penyuluhan stunting. Kegiatan advokasi dan sosialisasi dilakukan kepada kepada Dinas Kesehatan dan Pimpinan PKM Perumnas serta Camat dan kepala desa dan kelurahan di kecamatan Curup Tengah. Hasil; Terdapat perbedaan nilai rata pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 2.95.  Hal ini menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pelatihan. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan nilai p = 0,000, artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pengetahuan pemuda sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan kesehatan.meningkatkan keterampilan pemuda dalam melakukan penyuluhan Kesehatan  khususnya dalam Upaya pencegahan stunting. Telah disepakatinya langkah-langkah penanggulangan stunting dan telah pula didapatkannya dukungan kebijakan penangulangan stunting yang akan diajukan dalam program rencana pembangunan kecamatan tahun 2025. Kesimpulan ; kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan peran pemuda dalam deteksi dini stunting Kecamatan Curup Tengah. Saran; Pemuda yang telah dilatih sebagai kader Kesehatan diharapkan dapat menerapkan pengetahuan dan keterampilannya dalam penanganan kasus stunting dengan tetap berkoordinasi dengan pihak puskesmas dan pemerintahan setempat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of snake and ladder game stimulation on cognitive and fine motor development in preschool children in Rejang Lebong Regency. This research method uses a Quasi-experimental design with a two-group pre-posttest design. The results showed that the difference in fine motor development of respondents after the intervention was 1.47 in the intervention group and there was no difference in the control group. The results of the bivariate analysis found a p value of 0.000. In conclusion, there is a difference in the average fine motor and cognitive development in the intervention and control groups.   Keywords: Cognitive Development, Fine Motor Development, Snake and Ladder Game, Preschool

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan kognitif dan motorik pada anak toodler. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkanbeberapa anak dengan keadaan stunting, kemampuan perkembangannya tidak sesuai dengan usia anak seharusnya. Terapi bermain merupakan salah satu bentuk stimulasi perkembangan anak. Diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan kader dan ibu balita tentang terapi bermain. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dan ibu balita stunting tentang terapi bermain. Meliputi identifikasi masalah, sosialisasi kegiatan, edukasi kesehatan dan praktik simulasi pemeriksaan perkembangan menggunakan KPSP dan terapi bermain pada balita pada melalui kader posyandu, pendampingan kader ke keluarga balita resiko stunting dan stunting. Kegiatan dilakukan pada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Talang Rimbo Lama Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Peserta terdiri dari 10 orang kader dan pendampingan pada 40 orang ibu balita stunting. Bentuk kegiatan adalah pemberdayaan kader posyandu dan pendampingan kader untuk memberikan edukasi kepada ibu balita resiko stunting dan stunting mengenai terapi bermain. Rerata skor pengetahuan kader sebelum edukasi adalah 40,6 dan setelah edukasi 60,3, serta skor pengetahuan ibu balita stunting dan risiko stunting sebelum edukasi adalah 36 dan setelah edukasi 59. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan kader dan ibu balita stunting serta mampu mempraktikkan kembali cara pemeriksaan perkembangan anak dan terapi bermain. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan Kader Posyandu, Pendampingan Ibu Balita Risiko Stunting, Terapi Bermain   ABSTRACT Stunting can affect cognitive and motor development in toddlers. Previous research has found that some stunted children have developmental abilities that do not correspond to their chronological age. Play therapy is a form of stimulation for child development. Efforts are needed to increase the knowledge and abilities of cadres and mothers of toddlers about play therapy. The purpose of community service activities is to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres and stunted mothers about play therapy. Identifying problems, participating in socializing activities, providing health education, and practicing developmental check simulations for toddlers at posyandu cadres using KPSP and play therapy, as well as assisting cadres with families of stunted toddlers and the risk of stunting, are all service methods.The activity was carried out in the working area of the Talang Rimbo Lama Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency. Participants consisted of 10 cadres, who provided assistance to 40 stunting mothers. The activity consists of empowering posyandu cadres and assisting cadres in providing education to mothers of stunted toddlers about the risk of stunting and play therapy. The average score of knowledge of cadres before education is 40.6 and after education is 60.3, and the knowledge score of stunting mothers and the risk of stunting before education is 36 and after education is 59. That there is an increase in the knowledge of cadres and stunting mothers and that they are able to practice again how to check child development and use play therapy. Keywords: Empowerment of Posyandu Cadres, Assistance for Mothers and Toddlers at Risk of Stunting, Play Therapy

Abstract

Separation due to hospitalization and the condition of infant diseases can cause stress and anxiety in parents.Parental anxiety can affect the parent-infant relationship and cause developmental problems in infant. FamilyCentered Care (FCC) is an effort to reduce parental anxiety when infants undergo treatment. This study aimedto identify the effect of FCC intervention on parents' anxiety in the perinatology ward. This study used aquasiexperimental design with one group pretest posttest design. A total of 29 parents were recruited byconsecutive sampling technique, with following inclusion criteria: parentsof infants who were undergoingtreatment in the perinatology ward, infants who were not immediately intubated when admitted to theperinatology ward, willing to become respondents, able to read and write; Meanwhile, the exclusion criteriawere parents who did not follow the intervention process until the end of the intervention, and infants who wereintubated during the intervention process. The intervention was carried out by providing FCC education andinvolving families for 3 days of baby care. Parental anxiety measurements were carried out before and after theintervention using the Parental Stressor Scale-NICU (PSS-NICU) questionnaire. The data analysis usedWilcoxon test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference in the mean anxiety ofparents before and after the FCC intervention (p = 0.001). FCC intervention is effective in reducing parentalanxiety. It is recommended that this intervention can be applied to the parents from the beginning of thetreatment in perinatology ward.

Abstract

Education about stunting for cadres and mothers of toddlers is important to be carried out continuously as an effort to prevent stunting. The use of Android phones has become widespread in society. Offline or online applications are one of the effective educational media and can be used to increase knowledge about stunting. The Smart Mother Stunting Application can be used by cadres and mothers who have toddlers to find out how to detect stunting early and at the same time increase knowledge about stunting. This community service activity was carried out in July 2024 in the Fostered Village, namely Rimbo Recap Village, the working area of ​​the Watas Marga Health Center. This service activity aims to provide education to cadres and mothers of toddlers about stunting and how to detect stunting using the application. Socialization activities, providing education and simulation practices using the application for cadres and mothers of toddlers, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The data obtained showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres and mothers about stunting and how to use the application using an Android phone. Early detection and education of stunting need to be carried out continuously to increase public awareness in preventing stunting.

Abstract

Background: Stunted toddlers experience growth and developmental disturbances, both in the short and long term. The condition of stunted toddlers can lead to anxiety among parents, particularly mothers. Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between the characteristics of mothers with stunted toddlers and their level of anxiety. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 60 mothers who have stunted toddlers as respondents. Data was collected using a respondent biodata questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) to measure maternal anxiety. Data analysis included univariate analysis to describe the characteristics of maternal anxiety and bivariate analysis using Fisher's exact test. Results: The findings indicate no significant relationship between maternal anxiety and factors such as current maternal age, age at marriage, maternal education, maternal occupation, maternal income, chronic energy deficiency (KEK) during pregnancy, number of children, or the stunting category of the child. Conclusion: The study concludes that there is no significant relationship between the characteristics of mothers (such as current age, age at marriage, education level, occupation, income, history of chronic energy deficiency during pregnancy, number of children, and the child's stunting category) and the level of maternal anxiety. These findings suggest that maternal anxiety in the context of stunted toddlers may be influenced by factors beyond the demographic and socioeconomic characteristics examined in this study. Further research is recommended to explore other potential factors contributing to maternal anxiety in such cases.

Abstract

Stunting dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan anak. Stimulasi bermain berbasis kunjungan rumah yang secara intensif bisa mengurangi masalah perkembangan pada anak seperti masalah sosial, emosional, komunikasi, bahasa dan kognitif serta meningkatkan perilaku responsif dan kehangatan ibu terhadap anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh stimulasi terapi bermain di rumah terhadap perkembangan anak balita stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Talang Rimbo Lama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Quasi Eksperiment with one-grup pretest-posttest design. Tehnik sampel menggunakan accidental sampling, dan sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 24 orang. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dependent. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum dilakukan terapi bermain di rumah, perkembangan anak sebagian besar (66,2%) memiliki perkembangan sesuai dan setelah dilakukan intervensi bermain di rumah hampir seluruh (83,8%) anak memiliki perkembangan sesuai umur. Rata-rata skor perkembangan anak dari nilai awal 7,96 menjadi 9,42 setelah dilakukan terapi bermain dirumah dengan nilai p value 0,00. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara perkembangan anak sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi stimulasi bermain di rumah.

Abstract

Discharge planning untuk pasien jantung diantaranya latihan resusitasi jantung bagi keluarga pasien. Keluarga perlu diberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan resusitasi jantung karena 70 % serangan henti jantung terjadi di rumah. Cara menolong pasien henti jantung oleh penolong yang belum pernah mendapat pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Dasar dengan memberikan kompresi Hands-Only.  Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan resusitasi jantung hands only keluarga sebelum dan sesudah discharge planning menggunakan booklet. Metode yang digunakan Quasi eksperiment one grup pre test post test, dilakukan discharge planning menggunakan booklet resusitasi jantung hands only. Tehnik non probability sampling dengan accidental sampling yaitu keluarga pasien jantung yang ada saat penelitian berjumlah 18 orang. Di uji menggunakan t test independent dengan hasil mean nilai pre test keterampilan resusitasi hands only keluarga pasien jantung didapatkan 0,61 dan nilai mean post test 90,33 serta didapatkan nilai p 0,000. Kesimpulan penelitian ini didapatkan ada perbedaan keterampilan resusitasi jantung hands only keluarga pasien jantung sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan melalui kegiatan discharge planning menggunakan booklet resusitasi jantung hands only.

Abstract

Perawatan keluarga pada lansia disabilitas memerlukan waktu yang lama dan panjang, hal ini dapat menyebabkan keluarga merasakan kewalahan dan kelelahan bahkan tidak jarang dapat menimbulkan stress akibat beban tuntutan dan tekanan merawat lansia disabilitas. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh terapi psikoedukasi terhadap manajemen stress keluarga dalam merawat lansia disabilitas di kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen pre dan post test dua kelompok. Jumlah sampel 30 orang perkelompok, total 60 orang. Kriteria inklusi sampel adalah keluarga yang merawat lansia disabilitas. Kelompok intervensi diberikan terapi psikoedukasi yang dibekali buku ajar dan buku kerja kegiatan, sedangkan kelompok  kontrol tanpa diberikan terapi psikoedukasi hanya dibekali buku ajar dan buku kerja kegiatan. Hasil penelitian  di dapatkan sebagian besar berjenis kelamin perempuan, sebagian besar dan berpendidikan rendah. Pengaruh terapi psikoedukasi terhadap manajemen stress keluarga dalam merawat  lansia disabilitas didapatkan nilai mean  8.00, standar deviasi 5.33, dengan CI 95% (0.51-8.19), p value 0.015 yang menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang significan terapi psikoedukasi terhadap manajemen stress keluarga dalam merawat  lansia disabilitas. Saran, manajemen stress dapat digunakan untuk menanggulangi beban kerja dalam merawat  lansia disabilitas, keluarga  dapat diberikan psikoedukasi oleh petugas yang sudah dilatih.
