Abstract

The current problem is that teachers are not capable to adapt to the development of education based of tecnology. Teachers are not entirely literate in information and communication technology. The purpose of this program is to train teachers in utilizing information and communication technology as a medium of learning. This program was implemented at SMA Negeri 22 Seram Barat, Hatusua Village, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency as partners and the target audience were high school teachers throughout Kairatu District. This program is carried out in several stages, namely planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. At the planning stage, coordination is carried out with partners, then the date of the activity is set. The implementation phase consists of training, demonstration and practice. The evaluation stage is carried out directly by the implementer, namely filling out questionnaires by participants. The results of the questionnaire show that this training activity is considered very good with an average value of 4.85 and there are suggestions that such activities should be sustainable and present more interesting material. While the reflection stage is carried out jointly between the implementer and the participants (partner teachers). This program is expected to increase the mastery of partner teachers on information and communication technology as a learning medium and will continue and develop not only in Kairatu District, but also for teachers throughout West Seram Regency

Abstract

Apart from teaching and research in tertiary institutions, Community Service (PKM) is also an essential element in the tri dharma of higher education that every lecturer must carry out. Teaching is a complex process; teaching is not just about conveying information to students but includes many actions that must be taken. In the community service activity that will be carried out with the title Improving Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) for middle and high school teachers, it aims to provide information to teachers about the use of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) competencies in learning to improve teachers' understanding of these competencies further. This activity also helps improve the quality of teaching and student learning that supports in-depth discussions with colleagues, builds camaraderie, creates a reflective and sustainable learning culture, and provides opportunities for teachers to learn curriculum, management, content, and pedagogy. The method used in this service activity is to provide information, materials, and examples about the competence of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). To increase the knowledge and skills of the relevant participating teachers (PCK) and Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and further explore the unique mix of content and pedagogy from the teacher, which will ultimately form a professional understanding of the teacher himself

Abstract

The achievement of learning outcomes from the 2022 public education report card issued by the Pusmendik Kemdibudristek at the elementary and junior high school levels for the Central Maluku Regency, obtained less than 50% have reached the minimum competency limit for reading and arithmetic literacy, this is below the minimum competency for literacy and numeracy skills. Therefore, it is essential for activities regarding the development of teacher quality in dealing with the learning process, especially in literacy and numeracy abilities. This service activity aims to provide benefits to teachers in implementing numeracy literacy in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes, especially in numeracy literacy skills. This service is carried out using a training method with stages: Exposure to numeracy-based learning, workshops on writing numeracy literacy questions, and evaluations. The service activity occurred at SMP Negeri 38 Maluku Tengah, which acted as a partner. The training was attended by 30 elementary and junior high school teachers throughout Central Maluku Regency. The evaluation was conducted to see the achievement of the activities. The results obtained an average of 90.92% during the implementation of service with planning and received a good appreciation from the participants, namely teachers in Central Maluku Regency

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan struktur kurikulum yang disusun untuk mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran paradigma baru yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang inklusif, interaktif, dan relevan bagi siswa. Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat adalah salah satu daerah yang membutuhkan perubahan dalam sistem pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dengan melibatkan Guru di Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat dengan pembelajaran inovatif dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan pengabdian dimulai dengan persiapan yang matang, termasuk koordinasi dengan pihak terkait dan studi pendahuluan tentang kondisi pendidikan di wilayah tersebut. Selama tahap pelaksanaan, guru-guru terlibat aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan seperti diskusi, simulasi pembelajaran. Mereka juga dibimbing dalam pengembangan materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Materi ini dirancang untuk mempromosikan pemahaman mendalam, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan nilai-nilai kehidupan yang relevan dengan konteks lokal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif yang nyata. Sebagian besar indikator evaluasi, seperti kesiapan tim pengabdian, kesesuaian materi dengan kebutuhan pendidikan, kebermanfaatan kegiatan, dan kepuasan peserta, menunjukkan kategori "Sangat Baik" dengan persentase 91.5%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran inovatif telah berhasil mencapai tujuannya

Abstract

In learning mathematics, representation and communication ability are required by students to solve problems. The ability to represent is crucial for students to simplify the learning process, while students who have good mathematical communication abilities can easily solve a problem. This study applied a sequential mixed methods approach. Quantitative data was obtained from the results of the written test, then the ability of mathematical representation and communication in solving problems on linear program material was analyzed qualitatively. The participants of this study were 59 students from one of the senior high schools in Ambon, Indonesia. The research phase was begun with students being asked to solve mathematics problems and then researchers analyze representation and written communication ability. The largest percentage of students' results on the test was in the very low category of mathematical representation and communication ability. The results showed that students who had good representation and communication abilities would be able to solve problems. There were significant correlations and a very strong correlation between mathematical representation and communication ability with a Pearson Correlation coefficient of 0.915. After obtaining the test result, subjects were selected based on the category of ability to conduct interviews. Based on the results of the interview, the mathematical representation ability that the subject uses well will directly involve mathematical communication skills well, and vice versa.

Abstract

An Integer is one material that is still considered difficult by students, even junior and senior high school students. Therefore it is necessary to prepare a learning media that can help students to master integers well.  Various media have been developed to make it easier for students to understand and operate integers. However, the media is still far from the reach of students. This study aims to develop learning media for integers based on local Maluku wisdom as well as learning tools, namely the Lesson Plan, teaching materials, and student worksheets that serve as a guide in learning. This research is development research using the ADDIE development model, which consists of stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research begins by analyzing the students' abilities on integer material and teaching materials and the media used in learning. Then the researcher designed the media and learning tools which were then submitted to the experts to be validated and to students for their implementation. Based on the results of the validation of experts and student learning outcomes, it can be concluded that the resulting learning tools are valid and can be used

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi riset mahasiswa pendidikan matematika melalui pengembangan e-book dan pelatihan analisis tren riset memanfaatkan software VOSviewer dan Biblioshiny. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi kegiatan ini adalah kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menentukan fokus penelitian, mengidentifikasi research gap, dan memilih topik yang feasible. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan e-book, sosialisasi dan pelatihan daring, serta evaluasi melalui kuesioner Google Form. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa e-book dan pelatihan yang diberikan mampu membantu mahasiswa memahami analisis bibliometrik secara sistematis serta mendukung penentuan topik penelitian yang lebih terarah.

Abstract

In mathematics education, written mathematical communication (WMC) is crucial for students to articulate problem-solving processes, yet gender differences and underlying weaknesses in high school contexts remain underexplored, particularly in linear programming tasks. This study aims to analyze the WMC of eleventh-grade high school students in solving linear programming problems from a gender perspective. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods approach was employed with 44 students from Ambon City high schools. Quantitative data from WMC assessments were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to evaluate overall performance, indicator dominance (accuracy vs. completeness), and gender effects. Six participants were then purposively selected for semi-structured interviews based on ability levels (high, medium, low) and gender, providing qualitative insights into problem-solving phases. Results showed low overall WMC (male dominance: 27.4%; female: 29.6%), with accuracy (M = 53.54–54.5%) outperforming completeness (M = 32.32–32.83%). Regression analysis indicated no significant gender effect. Interviews revealed systematic weaknesses in the entry phase (contextual data interpretation), attack phase (symbolic-graphic representation), and review phase (reflective evaluation).  These findings highlight that WMC depends not only on computational skills but also on metacognitive abilities for coherent argumentation. Teachers should implement reflection-based learning to foster contextual writing, comprehensive visual labeling, and evaluative conclusions.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital khususnya kecerdasan buatan (AI) memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap praktik pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Pemanfaatan AI dinilai mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, kualitas interaksi pembelajaran, serta memberikan dukungan pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif sesuai kebutuhan siswa. Namun keberhasilan integrasi AI tidak hanya ditentukan oleh ketersediaan teknologi, tetapi juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh persepsi, pengalaman, dan kesiapan guru dalam menggunakannya. Faktor generasi dan gender juga turut berperan dalam membentuk variasi kemampuan adaptasi guru terhadap teknologi baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respons guru SMA se-Kecamatan Kota Masohi terhadap pemanfaatan AI dalam pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan perbedaan generasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mixed metod melalui angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian yang dikelompokkan ke dalam Generasi X dan Generasi Y. Analisis dilakukan untuk menilai persepsi, sikap, pengalaman, aksesibilitas, kebutuhan pelatihan, fleksibilitas pembelajaran, serta kesesuaian AI dengan metode mengajar masing-masing subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang jelas antar generasi. Guru laki-laki generasi X dan Y menunjukkan respons positif dan mampu mengintegrasikan AI dalam pembelajaran meskipun masih terkendala jaringan dan fitur berbayar. Sebaliknya, guru perempuan generasi X cenderung kurang responsif akibat minimnya pengalaman dan pelatihan. Adapun guru perempuan generasi Y menunjukkan respons sangat positif dan proaktif, meski masih membutuhkan pelatihan lanjutan untuk optimalisasi penggunaan AI. Hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan perlunya pelatihan AI yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik gender dan generasi guru serta penguatan infrastruktur digital sekolah untuk mendukung implementasi pembelajaran matematika berbasis AI yang lebih efektif di Indonesia.
