Abstract

The role of leadership has not been maximized by the majority of school principals, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the principal's learning leadership role in the implementation of independent learning. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design at one madrasah school. Interviews, observations, and documentation studies were used to collect the data. All data obtained were analyzed with theme analysis approach, including data reduction, presentation, and verification procedures. Test the validity of the data using the credibility of the data and confirmability of the data. The results showed that the principal has focused on learning leadership well and effectively. Efforts that the principal has made as the highest leader in the school and as a learning leader are actively and continuously accompanying, guiding, facilitating, and motivating teachers to organize quality learning and innovative learning through good and structured academic guidance, deepening the interests of the academic community planned and programmed, as well as intensive religious/pesantren development as a characteristic of Islamic boarding schools to produce superior graduates, have character, and are competitive following the school's vision and mission. Furthermore, this study also shows that selecting appropriate and effective leadership approaches and strategies in each madrasa program will result in maximum student academic achievement. Principals' current and updated approach to learning leadership can create effective schools by implementing independent learning programs.

Abstract

Currently, the nation's next generation still has low critical thinking skills, is less creative, and lacks character. This research aims to describe the character strengthening program for Pancasila student profiles, strategies for implementing strengthening character with global diversity and critical reasoning, as well as the impact of implementing strengthening character with global diversity and critical reasoning. This research is included in the type of qualitative research with a case study design. The subjects in this research were the principal, deputy principal, teachers and students. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis method was carried out using theme analysis with components of data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the program strengthens the character profile of Pancasila students with global diversity, namely religious activities, exhibitions and getting students to care about the environment. The critical reasoning character strengthening program is the implementation of learning based on diagnostic assessment, training and socialization. The implementation strategy for strengthening global diversity of character is socialization regarding Pancasila students, as well as providing real examples of example and discipline. Strategies for developing critical reasoning skills in collaboration with various parties, providing class management guidance and guidance, providing extracurricular activities, and implementing problem posing learning models. There are various positive impacts in implementing character strengthening with global diversity and critical reasoning. The latest information in this research could have implications for providing programs or strategies to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the school library in facilitating the development of the student’s reading culture, the student’s writing skills, and the students’ speaking skills at MIT AL–ISLAH Integrated Islamic Primary School in Gorontalo City. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. Data collection techniques were done through observation, interviews, and document studies. The main informant of this research data was the school principal, while the supporting informants were the teacher in charge of the library and the students. The process of data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The examination of data validity using data credibility through triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that developing the reading culture of students through the school’s library was conducted by instilling a reading culture from an early age, not only reading books but also reading the Holy Quran and schedule distribution in the library as well. The use of libraries in developing writing skills was conducted by poetry writing programs, rewriting content read, making stories, reading, writing, arithmetic programs, and mentoring methods in terms of learning. The use of libraries in developing speaking skills was conducted by providing an expression corner to practice speaking, having an outdoor space in the library, and participating in several programs made by the library.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) entrepreneurship values transformedinto student , 2) strategy in transforming the values of entrepreneurship, and 3) supportof principals in transforming the values of entrepreneurship to students of SMK KotaGorontalo. This study uses qualitative approach with case study design. Research resultshows: 1) the values of entrepreneurship transformed into students are confidence, task andresults oriented , dare to risk, responsible, honest, hard work, can be leaders of the futureoriented,and originality; 2) strategy conducted through practical activities on the unit ofproduction, business center, room practice, and practice in business / industry, and 3) theprincipal always provide direction and guidance, exemplary as well as provide the means andadequate infrastructure to support the implementation activities practice.Keyword: Transformation, Value of enterpreneurship, Production unitAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan 1) nilai-nilai kewirausahaanyang ditransformasikan pada siswa, 2) strategi dalam mentransformasikan nilai- nilaikewirausahaan pada siswa, dan 3) dukungan kepala sekolah dalam mentranformasikan nilainilaikewirausahaan pada siswa SMK Negeri I Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui:wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan alur: reduksi , penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan: kredibilitas, transfermabalitas,dan konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1) nilai-nilai kewirausahaan yangditransformasikan pada siswa adalah: (a) percaya diri, (b) breorientasi pada tugas dan hasil, (c)berani mengambil resiko, (d) bertanggung jawab, (e) jujur, (f) kerja keras, (g) dapat menjadipemimpin, (h) berorientasi kemasa depan dan (i) keorsinilan; 2) strategi dilakukan melaluikegiatan praktek pada unit produksi, bisnis center, ruang praktek, dan praktek di dunia usaha/industri, dan 3) kepala sekolah selalu memberikan arahan dan bimbingan, keteladanan sertamenyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai untuk menunjang kegiatan pelaksanaanpraktek.Kata kunci: Transformasi, Nilai-nilai kewirausahaan, Unit produksi DOI: https://doi.org/10.17977/um025v1i22017p115

Abstract

This study attempts to explain (1) the creativity of the principal affects human resources to explore school financial resources, (2) the invention of the principal drives human resources to explore school financial resources, and (3) the strategy of the principal to engage in raising funds with the group. This analysis uses a qualitative descriptive technique. The results showed the principal's creativity affects human resources to explore the school's integrated financial resources in subjects that can inspire students to think creatively, work hard, and enable students to be autonomous in identifying sources of funds to be used in different activities.

Abstract

This study aims to: (a) know the implementation of the habituation process, (b) know that the habituation program can improve the religious character of students at SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo. This research uses a quantitative approach with a school Action research design. The data collection technique uses questionnaires in the form of questionnaires which are used to capture data on (a) student character, (b) stages of implementation of habituation programs to improve the quality of student character, non-participant observations, namely researchers are not directly involved and only as independent observers, researchers record, analyze, and make conclusions about the application of character education in improving student character through the implementation of habituation programs in high school Negeri 4 Gorontalo, and study documents are documents in the form of lesson plan examples, school profiles, and photos of research activities related to the application of character education. The results showed that; (1) The implementation of the habituation process at SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo which is carried out through 6 activities, including (a) the implementation of Dhuha prayers, (b) congregational zuhr prayers, (c) alms infaq movement (GARISA), (d) reading a holy book, (e) “jumpa berlian”, and (f) “budaya lisa”. Cycle I is in a good category and cycle II is in a very good category. (2) The habituation program can improve the religious character of students at SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo, this is shown by the average results of achievements in cycle II which shows that the religious character of students has increased significantly with excellent categories. This shows that there is an increase in student awareness to carry out religious activities to be able to improve the quality of student character optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze best practice development of teacher pedagogical competence, teacher professional competence, teacher social competence, and teacher personality competence in public elementary schools in Anggrek District, North Gorontalo Regency. The research method used is explanatory. The data collection technique is by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. The sample in this study was 101 teachers (N=134). The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that best Practice teacher pedagogic competency development has a score of 85.26% which is in the Good category. Teacher professional competence development scores 82.30%, which is in the Good category. Teacher social competency development scores 83.07%, which is in the good category. Teacher personality competency development scores 85.46%, which is in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the form of local wisdom for strengthening the values of the Pancasila Student Profile for students in Driving School, (2) the implementation of the Project to students, and (3) the implications of the Project on students’ characters. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants were school principals, homeroom teachers, project administrators, and students of Class I and Class IV. The determination of data sources was carried out by purposive sampling. Data collection obtained from interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis used reduction, display, and data verification. The validation of data was conducted through data credibility by extending the observation period, and triangulation (sources, techniques, and experts). The results of the study showed that: (1) the form of local wisdom were (a) traditional games, folklore, and embroidery crafts; (2) the implementation of the Project for students began with activities of meeting with the project facilitation team and parental socialization, reference studies, module development, implementation in teaching and learning, showcasing/presentation of work, and evaluation and reflection; (3) the implications of the Project for students’ characters was the formation of pancasila student profile with the dimensions of global diversity, critical thinking, independence, and mutual cooperation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala madrasah dalam (1) pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran, (2) pembinaan prestasi akademik dan non akademik, serta (3) pembinaan kompetensi profesional guru di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data menggunakan analisis tema dengan alur pemahaman data, penyusunan kode, dan pencarian tema. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan melalui kredibilitas dengan perpanjangan pengamatan, triangulasi, penggunaan bahan referensi, dan member check. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) strategi kepala madrasah dalam pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menjalin kerja sama, (2) strategi kepala madrasah dalam pembinaan prestasi akademik dan non akademik dilakukan dengan memfasilitasi kemampuan siswa dengan 13 organisasi madrasah, serta (3) strategi kepala madrasah dalam pembinaan kompetensi profesional guru dengan melakukan kerja sama dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan, workshop, maupun diklat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in enhancing students' independent learning, focusing on: (1) teachers' strategies to improve students' independent learning, (2) strategies for the sustainability of independent learning programs, and (3) the evaluation of students' independent learning based on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Data validation was conducted through triangulation of sources and methods. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN 22 Dungingi has successfully enhanced students' independent learning through interactive learning supported by technological tools such as Chromebooks and internet connectivity provided by the Smart Learning Community (KOMBEL). Chromebooks enable students to independently access digital educational resources, improve their digital literacy, and develop lifelong learning skills. Additionally, formative and summative evaluations conducted by teachers help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, foster self-reflection, and increase responsibility for their learning processes.
