Abstract

One of the functions of the coastal ecosystem is to produce environmental services that can be used for marine tourism. Oil pollution incidents at the sea have caused a decline in the quality of marine tourism objects, thus reducing the number of visitors arriving and then it has implications for decreasing the income of the people who do business at tourist area. The community's claim for immediate compensation payments requires a faster calculation method. The purpose of this research is to develop a method of assessing the economic compensation for marine tourism businesses that are affected by incidents of oil pollution at the sea. The type of this research is descriptive research. The data consists of primary data and secondary data. The steps required in calculating compensation are (1) identifying tourism businesses, (2) building a theoretical concept of compensation, (3) determining the legal basis for calculating compensation, and (4) Designing a compensation formula. The application of the five compensation calculation formulas requires 18 variables. By taking the case of an oil spill incident in the North Sea of ​​Karawang which has an impact on Tanjung Pakis beach tourism, an estimate of the value of compensation (Rp/day) is obtained for the buoy rental service business is Rp 111,323.08, for bathroom services business is Rp 69,504.62, for food/beverage trading business on a small scale is Rp 71,510.77 and for food/beverage trading business on a large scale is Rp 188,569.23. For the next stage, the implementation of compensation needs to be verified against the impacted community and the payment mechanism so that it is right on target.

Abstract

Dinamika populasi merupakan aspek penting sebagai dasar pengelolaan perikanan dan informasi tentang aspek tersebut pada lobster pasir masih minim di perairan Palabuhanratu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji aspek pertumbuhan, pola rekrutmen, mortalitas dan laju eksploitasi lobster pasir (Panulirus homarus) di perairan Palabuhanratu. Penelitian ini dilakukan periode Juni 2015-Mei 2016 dengan metode sensus. Lobster pasir hasil tangkapan jaring insang dasar dengan jumlah total sampel 483 ekor mempunyai panjang karapas antara 28-100 mm. Pola pertumbuhan berdasarkan hasil regresi linear memperlihatkan allometrik negatif. Hasil analisis menggunakan metode ELEFAN I (Electronic Length Frequency Analysis) menunjukan koefisien pertumbuhan lobster pasir jantan (K = 0,29 per tahun), lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan betina (K = 0,40 per tahun). Rekrutmen terindikasi dua puncak dalam setahun: yaitu pada Februari-Mei dan September-Oktober). Laju mortalitaskarena penangkapan (F) mencapai 1,9-2,2 kali laju mortalitas alami (M). Nilai Lc<Lrmemperlihatkan lobster pasir sudah tertangkap sebelum mencapaiukuran rata-rata mengerami telur atau ukuran kematangan reproduktif. Laju eksploitasi lobster pasir mencapai 32-38% di atas laju eksploitasi optimum, sehingga lobster pasir sudah mengalamieksploitasi yang berlebih.Population dynamics is an important aspect as basic of fisheries management and little information of this aspect for spiny lobster fishery in Pelabuhanratu waters. This research aims to evaluate of growth aspects, recruitment pattern, mortality, and exploitation rate of scalloped spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus) in Palabuhanratu waters. This research was conducted in June 2015 until May 2016 using census method. The size of P. homarus captured using bottom gill-net with total sample 483 specimen was between 28-100 mm carapace lengths (CL). Linear regression showed that growth pattern was negative allometric. The growth coefficient of male (K = 0.29 per year) was found smaller than female (K = 0.40 per year) based on ELEFAN I (Electronic Length Frequency Analysis) method. Recruitment seems to be accrued twice peaks a year (February to May and September to October) and the highest was at February to May. Fishing mortality (F) reached 1.9 to 2.2 times of natural mortality (M). The LcÂLr value showed that female has been caught before reached the average size of bearing eggs or reproductive maturity size. The exploitation rate of spiny lobsters reaches 32-38% above optimum level. This study suggests that the spiny lobster fishery in Palabuhanratu in the state of overexploitation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKUndur-undur laut atau mole crab merupakan komponen penting dari komunitas makrobentos di pantaiberpasir terbuka, baik di daerah tropis maupun bermusim empat di seluruh dunia.Undur-undur lautmempunyai fungsi ekonomi dan ekologi.Salah satu jenis undur-undur laut yang banyak dijumpai diIndonesia adalah jenis Hippa adactyla.Karena fungsi ekonomi dan ekologi undur-undur laut pentinguntuk dilestarikan, salah satu informasi penting yang dibutuhkan adalah pola pertumbuhan undurundurlaut.Penelitian dilakukan di Pantai Bocor, Kecamatan Buluspesantren, KabupatenKebumen.Pengambilan sampel undur-undur laut dilakukan setiap bulan dari bulan Maret hingga Mei2012, yang dilakukan dengan metode penyapuan dengan bantuan alat tangkap sorok pada daerahpantai berpasir yang terpengaruh gerakan gelombang (swash zone) (swept area method).Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa undur-undur laut Hippa adactyla yang tertangkap mempunyai kisaranpanjang karapas antara 15 mm hingga 40 mm, dengan ukuran yang paling banyak tertangkap beradapada selang panjang karapas 24-26 mm.Nisbah kelamin undur-undur laut di lokasi penelitianmendekati 1 (1,035) atau tergolong seimbang, dimana jumlah undur-undur laut jantan relatif seragamdengan undur-undur laut betina.Kondisi ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kondisi populasi undur-undurlaut di lokasi penelitian relatif stabil. Pola pertumbuhan undur-undur laut Hippa adactylaseluruhnya,baik jantan, betina, maupun gabungan, adalah isometrik, artinya pertambahan panjang undur-undurlaut relatifsama dengan pertambahan bobotnya.Kata kunci: Hippa adactyla, pantai berpasir, undur-undur lautABSTRACTMole crabs are one of important biological component among macrobenthos communityinhabiting sandy beach, both in tropic or temperate area all over the world. They playsignificant ecology and economy role in their habitat. One of Indonesian mole crabs is Hippaadactyla. Due to its ecological and economical function of the crab, it is neede to study thepopulation growth pattern for biological information based sustainable management. One ofimportant biological information is growth pattern. The research was conducted in PantaiBocor, Kecamatan Buluspesantren, Kabupaten Kebumen. Sample collections were donemonthly during March – May 2012. Sampling was done by swep area method by means oflocal fishermen gear called sorok along swash zone. The results showed that the carapacelength of collected crabs ranged from 19 – 34 mm, with the highest abundance within range of29 – 30 mm. Female dominated the sex ratio. The F/M ratio was 0.244. The growth pattern ofmale was isometric, while in female it was negative allometric. However, combining datashowed that the growth patern of the population was negative allometric, so its length growsfaster than its weight.Keywords: Hippa adactyla, sandy beach, mole crab, southern part of Jawa

Abstract

Freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) as an invasive species has high capability to adapt in most waters in Indonesia. The extant distribution of this species in Indonesia causes observation of morphological characters  is important to be established. This study purpose is to compare the morphological characters of Cherax quadricarinatus from several locations in Indonesia waters, such as the river in Bintan Island, Toba Lake, and Lido Lake. The total of morphological characters was measured in twenty-two characters. The result of the Kruskal-Wallis test represented nine different characters between Toba, Bintan, and Lido. Cluster analysis illustrated the highest level of similarities between Toba and Lido. The growth rate of the dactyls, and carapace width, and ocular carapace length between Toba and Lido were similar, meanwhile between Toba and Bintan were different. C. quadricarinatus originating from river waters in Bintan Island has a different morphological character from Lake Lido and Lake Toba. The differences in morphological characters between locations are caused by differences in habitat characteristics in rivers and lakes.

Abstract

Ikan banyar (Rastrelliger kanagurta) merupakan salah satu ikan ekonomis penting dari perairan Teluk Banten. Informasi biologi reproduksi R. kanagurta ini masih sedikit sehingga diperlukan kajian reproduksi bagi pengelolaan di masa mendatang. Penelitian dilakukan dari Mei hingga Agustus 2012 melalui pengumpulan sampel dan data di lapangan yang meliputi panjang dan bobot total, tinggi, serta lebar tubuh. Analisis reproduksi, yaitu bobot dan volume gonad, serta diameter telur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ikan berukuran 137–257 mm dengan pertumbuhan allometrik negatif di mana pertumbuhan jantan lebih cepat dibandingkan betina. Faktor kondisi R. kanagurta berkisar antara 0,8483–1,1788. Rasio kelamin ikan jantan dengan betina adalah 1,11:1. Ukuran pertama kali matang gonad adalah 220,32 mm untuk betina dan 211.07 mm untuk jantan. Nilai IKG ikan betina lebih tinggi dibandingkan jantan di mana nilai tertinggi terdapat diakhir Juli yang menunjukkan musim pemijahannya. Ikan ini memiliki tipe pemijahan total spawner dan mengeluarkan ±25691 butir telur dalam sekali pemijahan dengan diameter telur ikan berkisar antara 0,05–1,08 mm

Abstract

Lobster batu (Panulirus penicillatus) merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perikanan yang ada di Teluk Palabuhanratu. Informasi mengenai dinamika populasi lobster batu masih minim. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat pemanfaatan lobster batu (Panulirus penicillatus) di Teluk Palabuhanratu, serta membandingkan ukuran saat pertama kali tertangkap (Lc50) terhadap ukuran lobster batu betina saat pertama kali mengerami telur (Lr50). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Oktober 2016 hingga Maret 2017. Estimasi parameter populasi menggunakan FiSAT II. Pendugaan Lc50 dan Lr50 menggunakan metode kurva logistik. Lobster yang tertangkap memiliki ukuran 40–102 mm panjang karapas, serta umur maksimum jantan dan betina yaitu 8,0 dan 7,0 tahun. Puncak rekrutmen terjadi pada Agustus hingga September. Laju eksploitasi lebih dari 0,50. Lobster jantan dan betina memiliki Lc50 62,5 mm dan 61,0 mm. Nilai Lr50 betina adalah 65,3 mm. Sumberdaya lobster batu di Teluk Palabuhanratu terindikasi sudah mulai tangkap lebih, dan lobster batu betina sudah tertangkap sebelum mencapai ukuran rata-rata mengerami telur.

Abstract

Ikan swanggi (P. tayenus) merupakan ikan demersal yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi dan banyak ditemukan diperairan Indonesia. Untuk itu perlu kecukupan data dan informasi untuk mewujdukan pengelolaan yang baik dan bertanggungjawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji aspek tingkat kematangan gonad dan potensi rekruitment ikan swanggi sebagai dasar pengelolaan ikan swanggi yang lestari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga September 2017. Jumlah ikan swanggi contoh yang diamati sebanyak 726 ekor. Proporsi rasio kelamin menunjukkan nisbah kelamin ikan swanggi jantan dan betina 1:1. Ukuran pertama kali matang gonad ikan swanggi jantan dan betina masing-masing adalah 271,92 mm dan 245,10 mm. Musim pemijahan ikan swanggi diprediksi pada bulan Agustus-September dengan pola pemijahan partial spawner. Potensi rekruitmen yang diduga dari data fekunditas menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata fekunditas ikan swanggi betina sebanyak 9.692 butir telur per pemihanan. Upaya pengelolaan yang perlu dilakukan adalah merancang pengelolaan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek ukuran matang gonad dan potensi recruit sehingga lebih sustain.

Abstract

Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perikanan yang memiliki wilayah persebaran yang beragam di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Laut Jawa. Wilayah persebaran yang beragam menyebabkan kondisi lingkungan yang berbeda, sehingga diduga dapat menimbulkan keragaman morfometrik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis keragaman morfometrik P. pelagicus di WPP 712 untuk menggambarkan kondisi unit stok rajungan di wilayah tersebut. Lokasi pengambilan contoh berada di Pulau Lancang, Cirebon, dan Madura. Pengukuran karakter morfometrik rajungan dilakukan dengan metode baku. Hasil yang didapat pada analisis Kruskall-Wallis terdapat 4 karakter pembeda pada metode baku. Analisis kluster memperlihatkan bahwa P. pelagicus di Pulau Lancang dan Cirebon membentuk kelompok yang sama, sedangkan P. pelagicus di Madura membentuk kelompok yang terpisah. Analisis diskriminan menunjukkan terdapat tiga populasi P. pelagicus, yaitu populasi Pulau Lancang, Cirebon, dan Madura. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat P. pelagicus yang berada di WPP 712 memiliki potensi lebih dari satu unit stok.

Abstract

Freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) is originate from Australia and Papua New Guinea waters. Morphometric measurement is one of the technique for differentiating body shape from a population. This study aimed to analyze the population kinship of freshwater crayfish in West Java with truss morphometric approach. Several morphometric characters were conducted measurement with a total of 133 individuals including 20 individuals from Darma Dam, 38 individuals from Kemang Lake, and 75 individuals from Kemuning Lake. The result of cluster analysis was obtained that the population of Cherax quadricarinatus from Kemuning Lake had closer relation with Kemang Lake than with Darma Reservoir. The differences in morphometric characters were alleged to be caused by differences of environmental conditions in three populations. Discriminant analysis showed that C. quadricarinatus from Darma Reservoir, Kemang Lake, and Kemuning Lake appropriately classified as 100%, 63.2%, and 76% respectively. Meanwhile, there were four main characters that differentiated the population from the three locations (C4, B5, D6, and A6).
