Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam  penelitian ini adalah tidak ditemukannya kandungan perlindungan dan pelestarian budaya Minangkabau dalam Kurikulum Muatan Lokal yang dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Sebenarnya kurikulum harus memuat kajian tentang perlindungan dan pelestarian budaya dan pengetahuan tradisional sebagaimana diakui oleh Deklarasi PBB tentang Hak-Hak Masyarakat Adat, Pasal 31. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat model Kurikulum Muatan Lokal yang mewujudkan unsur perlindungan dan pelestarian budaya pada konten pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini adalah Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi yang melibatkan pemerintah daerah dan pejabat adat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah model Kurikulum Muatan Lokal Sumatera Barat yang mengintegrasikan isi perlindungan dan pelestarian budaya dengan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang budaya itu sendiri.Kata kunci: Perlindungan, Pelestarian, Pengetahuan Adat Minangkabau, Kurikulum Muatan Lokal.

Abstract

Traditional knowledge is an issue that has been discussed in national and international conference. The current issue is the protection of traditional knowledge in Indonesia in the concept of Intellectual Property Right. The protection of traditional knowledge in Minangkabau craft based on Intellectual Property Right is the problem that is elaborated in this article. Normative legal design is the research design used to answer the research’s problem. The data are collected from the secondary data and literature study. The results of this research show that the concepts of IPR are contrary to the principles of traditional knowledge. Traditional knowledge is originally from indigenous communities that are communal, whereas IPR does not approve it.  Hence, the existing law has not provided legal certainty and benefit optimally in protecting traditional knowledge. The solution of this problem is IPR Law must be renewed and a sui generis law regarding to traditional knowledge has to be constructed. It must be clear that local people are declared and certified as the owner of traditional knowledge based on Intellectual Property Right. The recognition of traditional knowledge based on IPR must be communal and non-profit oriented, so it can be owned by all indigenous people.Keywords: Law inforcement, intelectual propertyright, traditional knowledge, minangkabau craft

Abstract

Need analysis is the first stage in developing Specific English courses. The purpose of the analysis is to guarantee the learning process relate with students’ needs and wants. The reason of the importance of the analysis leads this research to investigate Learning Situational Analysis for college students who join in English for Business Subject. It is survey research. The technique in determining sample is purposive. Moreover, the instrument used is the questionnaire. The result of the data is analyzed by statistic formula. The analysis of the data exposes students’ intentions in learning English for business, the chosen strategy for learning, the priority language skill to achieve, the most conducive and effective learning environment to have, and the availability of material and field study opportunity to practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan lagu Bahasa Inggris dalam memperkenalkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris oleh guru di Taman Kanak–Kanak Murni Padang. Peneliti menganalisis tahap penerapan sebuah lagu bahasa Inggris yang dapat digunakan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris dalam memperkenalkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris berdasarkan teori dari Case, Lynch, dan Sophya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti meminta peneliti sejawat memberikan evaluasi dalam bentuk ceklis observasi yang berisi saran dari peneliti sejawat tentang ketiga tahap observasi penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Dari data yang diberikan oleh peneliti sejawat setelah melakukan tiga kali observasi, ditemukan bahwa guru belum menerapkan seluruh tahap pengajaran dengan sempurna dan anak TK belum mengenal kosakata disaat observasi pertama. Saat observasi kedua, guru telah menerapkan seluruh tahap pengajaran dan anak TK mulai mengenal kosakata. Di akhir observasi, peneliti sejawat menganalisis bahwa peneliti mampu menerapkan seluruh tahap pengajaran lagu bahasa Inggris kepada anak TK Murni dan anak TK mampu mengenal kosakata yang telah dipelajari. Disimpulkan dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa peneliti sudah mampu melakukan seluruh tahapan pengajaran bahasa Inggris melalui lagu dan anak TK meningkat kosakata yang dikenal secara bertahap.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze students’ personality traits and language learning strategies at the tenth grade students of SMK N 9 Padang academic year 2016/2017. Design of this study is descriptive qualitative. There are 25 students at the tenth grade of SMK N 9 Padang was becoming the respondents of this study which were chosen by stratified random sampling technique. The data was collected by using Big Five Inventory and Strategy Inventory for Language Learning version 7.0 (SILL) questionnaires. As the result, it found that there are various characteristics of the tenth grade students of SMK N 9 Padang academic year 2016/2017 are extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness.  In addition, each of personality traits used different learning strategies where extraversion and agreeableness students use affective strategy, meanwhile, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness use metacognitive strategy.

Abstract

Having a profession as a Vocational English teacher means having to be prepared to carry out 5 important roles. Research shows that vocational English teachers today have not carried out all of these roles. With a qualitative approach, vocational English teachers are chosen as participants. Using observational and interview records, this research data is collected. The results illustrate that vocational English teachers have carried out all the roles in question, namely as teachers, as material providers and learning designers, researchers, collaborators and evaluators. However, the level of achievement of each role varies. It can be concluded that vocational English teachers have not maximized their role as ESP practitioners who are tasked with determining, designing, observing, and evaluating English learning.

Abstract

Mitra pada program PPM ini adalah guru Ponpes Darrusalam dan Arrafi’I yang terletak pada Nagari Sarik Alahan III Kecamatan Hiliran Gumanti Kabupaten Solok.Akses jalan menuju lokasi mitra cukup sulit karena berada pada daerah terpencil.Permasalahan yang dipecahkan pada program ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menghasilkan perangkat assessment (penilaian), terkhusus penilaian kognitif.Metode yang digunakan pada workshop ini adalah dengan jenis diskusi panel interaktif, sehingga mitra dapat berdiskusi secara interaktif dengan ahli/pemateri.Selian itu metode yang digunakan disesuaikan dengan kondisi dilapangan nantinya. Di akhir workshop mitra mendapatkan tugas individu pada mitra yang medapat pendampingan dan arahan dari tim PPM. Program ini memiliki program evaluasi, untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, maka akan dilakukan evaluasi minimal 3 (tiga) kali, yaitu evaluasi proses, evaluasi akhir, dan evaluasi tindak lanjut. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan guru dalam mengahsilkan perangkat pennilaian yang sesuai dengan kaedah dan aturan pembuatannya sesuai dengan jenis tes yang dipilih.Hasil luaran dari program ini adalah berupa Modul Perangkat Assessment.

Abstract

Stunting gives negative impacts for children’s cognitive developments, emotions, behaviors, education, productivity, and disease when they grow up. Hence, one of the efforts to reduce the prevalence of stunting is to increase nutritional knowledge and functional food processing skills for stunted toddlers’ mothers. This activity was applied in the Family Group at the East Padang District Nutrition House collaborating with the East Padang District Health Center. The previous research findings showed that the Protein and Mineral of Moringa leaf Nuggets, one of the processed food innovations, has exceeded the nutritional standards according to the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 51 of 2016 concerning Nutritional Supplementation Product Standards. The purpose of this activity is to increase the parents’ understanding of nutrition. Because of this digital era, it is needed to educate and assist stunted toddlers’ parents through digital literacy regarding nutritional standards for toddlers and food processing training to increase toddlers' body mass. There are three stages done in applying technological methods are 1) Socialization; 2) Training; 3) Evaluation. The evaluation’s result of providing knowledge and training to stunted toddlers’ mothers is that the knowledge and skills of stunted toddlers’ mothers is increased by 86.67%. In short, training for stunted toddlers’ mothers regarding innovations in Moringa leaf food processing that are nuggets, meatballs and Fantasy tofu, additional food for stunted toddlers, has significantly increased mothers’ knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Presentation and discussion are strategies that are applied by lecturers in the learning process. The strategies give a big opportunity to the students exploring and expanding logical and critical ideas. It is indicated that managing critical thinking during presentation and discussion is needed. Hence, this research focuses on investigating the lecturers’ perception to the integration of critical thinking in students’ presentation and discussion. It is survey research. The technique in determining sample is purposive. Moreover, the instrument used is the questionnaire. The result of the data is analyzed by statistic formula. The analysis of the data exposes lecturers’ perception of critical thinking in students’ presentation and discussion. The results shows that lecturers have positive perception to critical thinking in the students’ presentation and discussion.
