Abstract

This activity aims to raise public awareness through an education-based waste management program implemented at Sunan Giri University of Surabaya as an effort to foster environmental awareness within the campus community. The main problem identified was the low level of knowledge and concern regarding proper waste sorting, management, and disposal, which resulted in waste accumulation, unpleasant odors, and potential flooding risks. This program employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving students and surrounding community members directly in observation, discussions, problem mapping, and the determination of priority actions. Practical activities included sorting organic and inorganic waste, cleaning campus areas, removing wild grass, providing waste management education, and practicing simple recycling techniques. The results indicated an increase in participants’ understanding as well as positive behavioral changes, such as disposing of waste properly, implementing waste sorting, and actively participating in routine cleanliness activities. Overall, this program proved effective in building a culture of cleanliness, strengthening social responsibility, and reinforcing the notion that campus cleanliness is an essential part of shared ecological awareness. Furthermore, this activity facilitated collaboration between students and the surrounding community, thereby fostering harmonious social relations.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan ubudiyah merupakan aspek fundamental dalam kehidupan keagamaan jamaah masjid yang mencerminkan kualitas pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran Islam. Namun demikian, dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan berbagai permasalahan, seperti ketidaktepatan tata cara ibadah, perbedaan pemahaman fiqh, serta minimnya pendampingan berkelanjutan bagi jamaah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan ubudiyah jamaah melalui kegiatan pendampingan di Masjid KH. M. Yusuf Hasyim Kwaron, Diwek, Jombang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi keagamaan, praktik langsung ibadah, diskusi interaktif, serta pendampingan intensif berbasis kebutuhan jamaah. Kegiatan pendampingan difokuskan pada penguatan pemahaman fiqh ibadah, peningkatan ketepatan praktik ubudiyah, serta pembiasaan ibadah yang sesuai dengan tuntunan syariat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman jamaah terhadap tata cara ibadah yang benar, meningkatnya kesadaran akan pentingnya pelaksanaan ubudiyah secara tertib dan konsisten, serta terbentuknya sikap keagamaan yang lebih partisipatif dalam kegiatan masjid. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pendampingan ini berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan ubudiyah jamaah serta memperkuat peran masjid sebagai pusat pembinaan keagamaan masyarakat.

Abstract

Environmental problems are fundamentally rooted in human behavior; therefore, changes in attitudes and awareness are key to achieving environmental sustainability. Higher education institutions play a strategic role in fostering environmental awareness among students. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance students’ environmental awareness and pro-environmental behavior through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The PAR method actively involves students in all stages of the program, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. The activities conducted consisted of environmental hygiene socialization, campus area clean-up activities, organic waste management, and the planting of ornamental plants and family medicinal plants (TOGA). The results indicate an increase in student participation, responsibility, and concern for environmental cleanliness and sustainability within the campus environment. Although students’ environmental knowledge remains at a moderate level, the program successfully fostered collective awareness and positive environmental behavior. This assistance program is expected to serve as a sustainable initiative in developing a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly campus culture.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital transformation in Human Resource Management (HRM) in influencing employees’ turnover intention amid accelerating organizational digitalization. The study aims to analyze the relationship between digital HR transformation and turnover intention and to develop a conceptual framework explaining this relationship through psychological variables. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing relevant scholarly articles through descriptive and analytical synthesis. The findings indicate that digital HR transformation does not directly reduce turnover intention but influences it indirectly through job satisfaction, employee engagement, and organizational commitment. The effectiveness of digitalization depends on implementation quality and organizational cultural readiness. This study integrates strategic capability and organizational behavior perspectives and provides guidance for organizations to implement human-centered digital HR transformation to support sustainable employee retention.
