Abstract

Online motorcycle taxi is a media in the form of an online application as a tool to order transportation services. Customers use gadgets to order motorcycle taxis online and connect with drivers who are ready to take or pick them up to their desired destination. The emergence of online motorcycle taxi drivers has caused a dynamic in viewing human work so that not only men can work as online motorcycle taxi drivers. This article aims to prove that women as online motorcycle taxi drivers is a form of gender equality. This study used a qualitative research method with data analysis techniques using triangulation, and a detection method using a research approach with interviews involving direct interaction between researchers and respondents to obtain information and data based on a frame of mind using ecofeminism. The patriarchal mindset causes a negative view of women and nature, which are seen as objects that can be controlled by men. In this context, ecofeminism offers a solution by strengthening the position of women and nature and fighting for gender equality and environmental protection. In the case of women's online motorcycle taxis, Ecofeminism Theory highlights the potential for gender to be improved by giving equal opportunities and access to women to become online motorcycle taxi drivers, without being limited by gender stereotypes that hinder women's roles. The results of this study show that as online motorcycle taxi drivers, women are able to make money, make decisions and develop the same potential as men while reducing the stereotype that online motorcycle taxi drivers work only for men. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze changes in social construction and the division of domestic labor in modern households in an urban environment. Social construction, which involves norms, values and social expectations, plays an important role in the division of domestic labor in the family. Factors such as cultural traditions, religion, internalized gender roles and influences from the social environment contribute to the formation of social construction. The research method used is qualitative literature study, researchers analyze and collect scientific articles, journals, books and other sources relevant to this research topic. The theory used is social construction theory developed by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. This theory is used to identify how norms, values and social roles in domestic work are constructed, internalized and changed in the context of the modern family. The results of this research show that stereotypical gender roles and behavioral expectations for women in domestic work burden women in the unequal division of work between husband and wife. Apart from that, this research also shows that there are various significant changes in the social construction related to domestic work in modern families, such as shifts in gender roles and awareness of gender equality. One of the factors that can influence a husband and wife or a modern family to adopt an egalitarian division of labor is education, work experience and individual values.

Abstract

This study delves into the perceptions of the millennial generation in Malay ethnic communities regarding the kasai-langger tradition as a form of traditional health care, with a particular emphasis on the educational aspects of this understanding. The core objective is to assess millennials' knowledge of the herbal ingredients used in this tradition and their educational background in traditional health practices. Employing qualitative research methods, including interviews and surveys, the study measures the depth of millennials' understanding regarding the composition and preparation of the kasai-langger herbal concoction. The findings highlight a significant disparity in knowledge, where a substantial number of respondents exhibit a limited understanding of the herbal ingredients and their roles. This suggests a gap in educational exposure to traditional health practices. Only a small percentage of respondents demonstrate extensive knowledge, whereas the majority show little to no awareness of the ingredients or their substitutes. This study also investigates the impact of modern health care practices on traditional methods, revealing a trend among the younger generation towards modern health care solutions, potentially due to gaps in traditional health education. The research emphasizes the critical need for enhanced educational initiatives and information dissemination about traditional herbal practices and their ingredients. This educational focus is essential not only for the preservation of cultural heritage but also for ensuring the safe and effective use of traditional health care methods. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and the implementation of comprehensive educational programs designed to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of the kasai-langger tradition among Malay millennials, thereby bridging the knowledge gap identified in this study.

Abstract

Beauty is an important thing that is maintained by the majority of women. One way to maintain beauty is to use various beauty products. Apart from beauty according to the construction of various cultures, now there seems to be a generalization of beauty standards. This article was created to explain the form of rejection of beauty standards that become stereotypes on social media platforms. The method used in collecting data uses ethnographic methods, and literacy studies. The theory used is the theory of 'Social Reality' which was put forward by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. So it can be concluded that gender resistance to women's beauty on tiktok shows that there is significant gender in the context of beauty on tiktok. Women use this platform to defy gender expectations and express themselves in ways that are more authentic and free from existing norms. They try to change the commonly accepted definition of beauty and show diversity in physical appearance and lifestyle.
