Abstract

Research aims: The paper aims to examine independent value creation (IVC) and its implication on value, trust, and marketing performance (satisfaction and loyalty) in the banking sector in Indonesia. The research model was developed from the existing literature to show the relationship between IVC and marketing performance.Design/Methodology/Approach: A survey design was used in this investigation, and the questionnaire collected study data. The data were analyzed from 385 respondents selected by purposive sampling and taken from bank customers. PLS-SEM analysis was used for hypothesis testing, and multi-group analysis was performed for moderating testing.Research findings: The findings demonstrated a strong positive link between IVC and marketing performance – satisfaction and loyalty. It was also found that learning value and trust partially mediated the relationship. Moreover, gender moderated the relationship between IVC and customer satisfaction and trust.Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study provides an academic contribution to explaining IVC and its role in value, trust, and marketing performance. The impact of IVC is further demonstrated by the role of gender moderation, which contributes to the Service-Dominant Logic (S-D Logic) literature by providing additional context.Practitioner/Policy implication: The study suggests that managers should pay attention to what customers do independently in value creation. They should also alter their perspective of the source of competitive advantage by shifting to customer activities in finding bank services. Furthermore, the impact of IVC on satisfaction and trust needs to consider the role of gender.Research limitation/Implication: The sampling technique limited the generalization of findings, and IVC measurement needs to be explored in future research.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of co-creation behavior, service quality, and the implementation of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) on resident satisfaction at Dian Regency Apartment Surabaya. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 175 residents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings reveal that co-creation behavior has a positive effect on service quality and the implementation of QFD. Furthermore, both service quality and QFD implementation significantly affect resident satisfaction. These results highlight that active resident involvement in co-creation enhances service quality and strengthens the effectiveness of QFD implementation, ultimately leading to higher satisfaction among apartment residents. The study contributes theoretically by integrating co-creation theory, SERVQUAL, and QFD in the context of vertical housing, while also providing practical implications for apartment management in developing resident-based service improvement strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh (1) edukasi nasabah dan (aktivitas perlindungan keamanan terhadap kepercayaan nasabah terhadap bank dengan reputasi bank sebagai variabel mediasi. Data diperoleh dari 114 nasabah bank di Surabaya dan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) melalui program WarpPLS 7.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa edukasi nasabah berpengaruh negatif terhadap reputasi bank, sedangkan aktivitas perlindungan keamanan berpengaruh positif terhadap reputasi bank. Reputasi bank juga terbukti berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan nasabah terhadap layanan digital perbankan serta bertindak sebagai variabel mediasi antara edukasi nasabah dan kepercayaan, serta antara perlindungan keamanan dan kepercayaan nasabah. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepercayaan nasabah terhadap layanan digital lebih banyak terbentuk melalui reputasi positif yang berasal dari kinerja keamanan digital, bukan semata dari aktivitas edukasi keuangan.

Abstract

Abstract : The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in secondary education demands teachers to enhance their digital competence to design adaptive and interactive learning experiences. However, preliminary observation at MAN Surabaya indicated limited AI literacy and minimal exposure to H5P-based interactive tools.This training aimed to enhance the digital competence of MAN Surabaya teachers in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and H5P platform for developing interactive learning media. Using an ADDIE model-based capacity building approach, the training consisted of four phases: (1) needs assessment through pre-test, (2) conceptual training and hands-on practice, (3) mentoring for media development, and (4) outcome evaluation. Participants included 72 teachers from various subject backgrounds. Results demonstrated significant technological proficiency improvement: AI understanding increased by 11% (from 56% to 67%), while H5P awareness surged 58% (from 8% to 66%). Teachers successfully produced diverse interactive media including physics quizzes with instant feedback, visual-based 4P marketing materials, and psychology content using storytelling techniques. Keywords: AI; digital literacy; H5P; interactive learning media, teacher Abstrak : Perkembangan pesat Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pendidikan menengah menuntut guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital mereka guna merancang pengalaman pembelajaran yang adaptif dan interaktif. Namun, observasi awal di MAN Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa literasi AI masih terbatas serta paparan terhadap perangkat pembelajaran interaktif berbasis H5P masih minimal. Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru MAN Surabaya dalam memanfaatkan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan platform H5P untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif. Melalui pendekatan capacity building berbasis model ADDIE, pelatihan meliputi empat tahap: (1) asesmen kebutuhan melalui pre-test, (2) pelatihan konseptual dan praktik, (3) pendampingan pengembangan media, dan (4) evaluasi hasil. Peserta terdiri dari 72 guru dengan beragam latar belakang mata pelajaran. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan teknologi: pemahaman AI meningkat 11% (dari 56% menjadi 67%), sedangkan pengenalan H5P melonjak 58% (dari 8% menjadi 66%). Guru berhasil memproduksi berbagai media interaktif seperti kuis fisika dengan umpan balik instan, materi strategi pemasaran 4P berbasis visual, dan konten psikologi dengan pendekatan storytelling. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style and training & development on employee performance through work motivation among Puskesmas employees in Surabaya. The research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) PLS with a sample of 135 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that transformational leadership (β = 0.360; t = 4.163) and training & development (β = 0.301; t = 4.065) had a significant positive effect on employee performance. Both also positively influenced work motivation, with coefficients of β = 0.533; t = 8.149 and β = 0.415; t = 5.937, respectively. Furthermore, work motivation significantly affected employee performance (β = 0.313; t = 2.889) and significantly mediated the relationship between transformational leadership (β = 0.167; t = 2.617) and training & development (β = 0.130; t = 2.587) with employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a model to represent how LPs (loyalty programs) -policy, rewards, and usefulness of information- influence perceived value and loyalty in banking services, considering the moderating effect of perceived security and gender. Data were collected from 388 customers of two banks offering LPs in Indonesia and analyzed with partial least squares-structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis. The study validates the impact of policy and rewards on perceived value and loyalty and expands previous studies by identifying the role of security and gender. Perceived security moderates the influence of the usefulness of information on perceived value. Additionally, the study identifies significant differences in the effect of LPs by gender: the impact of policy on perceived value and loyalty is higher amongst males; rewards are a determinant of perceived value for males but of loyalty for females; and the effect of information usefulness on loyalty occurs only amongst males.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of work environment and work discipline on employee performance at Simokerto District Office with work motivation as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with SEM-PLS on 113 respondents, results reveal that work environment and discipline significantly influence motivation and performance. Motivation also significantly mediates these effects. The study highlights the need for improving workplace conditions and discipline to enhance performance. Implications suggest local government should prioritize creating a supportive environment and enforcing clear discipline policies to strengthen employee motivation, thereby ensuring better service delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of organizational justice and motivation on organizational commitment with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among employees of Koperasi As-Sakinah Surabaya. A quantitative explanatory method was used involving 142 respondents, analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that both organizational justice and motivation significantly affect job satisfaction. Motivation directly influences organizational commitment, while organizational justice has an indirect effect through job satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of organizational justice and motivation in fostering employee commitment.
