Abstract

The Ranowangko River passes through Tomohon City and Minahasa Regency, ending in the Sulawesi Sea. Tombariri District, is the Bunaken National Park area. Ranowangko River Water Monitoring in 2022 by the Regional Environmental Service of North Sulawesi Province shows that Fecal Coli and Total Coli parameters in the Ranowangko River at Station 1 do not meet the requirements according to Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 concerning Class 2 National Water Quality Standards (BMA). Research to assess water quality from biological, physical and chemical aspects as well as determine water quality status. Monitoring was carried out 4 times in 2 consecutive years at 3 observation stations. Quantitative data and qualitative data include water quality analysis through determination of 14 parameters compared according to BMA Class 2. The water quality data was analyzed using the Storet Method to determine water quality status in accordance with Minister of Environment Decree Number 115 of 2003. The results showed Fecal Coli and Total Coli (Biological Aspects), TSS (Physical Aspects), Total Phosphate (Chemical Aspects) exceeded the BMA. Score calculation results using the Storet method at Station 1: -68, Station 2: -72 and Station 3: -76. Based on the value system According to Minister of Environment Decree 115 of 2003, the score above shows that the Water Quality Status of the Ranowangko River is heavily polluted. Recommendations to the regional governments of Tomohon City and Minahasa Regency to carry out further monitoring of the water quality of the Ranowangko River.

Abstract

Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis L.) is a pelagic fish that dominates the waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This fish has unique physical characteristics, including an aerodynamic body, a metallic blue or teal back, and transverse stripes that distinguish it from other species. In Indonesia, skipjack tuna is abundant in the waters of Manado and Maluku. This study aims to determine the types of bacteria present in processed skipjack tuna floss (abon cakalang) based on morphological and physiological characteristics through biochemical tests. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach conducted in a laboratory setting. Data were gathered through direct observation of samples undergoing various tests and subsequently presented in a descriptive manner. Based on the identification data, 30 bacterial isolates were found in the processed skipjack tuna floss. The isolates were identified macroscopically and microscopically. The findings of the study reveal that the bacteria found in processed skipjack tuna floss, based on biochemical tests and profile matching, are suspected to belong to the Staphylococcus and Vibrio genera.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran yang efektif adalah yang membuat peserta didik mampu berperan aktif dan berpikir kritis dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang berbasis sosial disesuaikan dengan hakikat manusia sebagai makhluk sosial dengan tujuan untuk mengingatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered head together (NHT) pada materi sistem gerak tumbuhan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan menggunakan 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi atau pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII semester ganjil berjumlah 18 peserta didik terdiri dari 10 laki laki dan 8 perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal peserta didik pada siklus I yaitu 33 % dan pada siklus II yaitu 89% . Berdasarkan penelitian ini maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered head together khususnya pada materi sistem gerak tumbuhan.

Abstract

Motivasi penelitian ini bermula dari kurang memuaskannya hasil belajar kognitif yang terlihat pada Kelas MAN Model 1 Plus Keterampilan Manado. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dampak penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada kelas Biologi MAN Model 1 Plus Keterampilan Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari 31 siswa yang terdaftar di kelas X MIPA 3 MAN Model 1 Plus Keterampilan Manado tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar klasikal siswa pada siklus I mencapai 77,04%, dan selanjutnya meningkat menjadi 87,00% pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan paradigma pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi pada siswa kelas X MIPA 3 MAN paradigma 1 Plus Keterampilan Manado.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit merupakan institusi pelayanan kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Limbah cair yang dihasilkan sebuah rumah sakit umumnya banyak mengandung virus, bakteri, obat-obatan dan senyawa kimia yang dapat membahayakan bagi kesehatan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil dari kualitas pengolahan limbah tidak terlepas dari dukungan dan sistem pengelolaan air limbah itu sendiri. Parameter pencemar air buangan rumah sakit yang perlu diperhatikan yaitu Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), atau Kebutuhan Oksigen Biologi dan Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). Rumah Sakit Umum GMIM Tonsea Airmadidi merupakan salah satu rumah sakit swasta milik GMIM yang ada di Kabupaten Minahasa Utara Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dan memiliki Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah untuk mengolah limbah cair. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian cross sectional, bersifat observasional dengan tujuan untuk dapat mengetahui efektivitas sistem pengolahan limbah cair di Rumah Sakit Umum GMIM Tonsea. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan nilai BOD dan COD dari titik inlet ke titik outlet air limbah RSU GMIM Tonsea.

Abstract

In classroom learning, students frequently face challenges to understand the material since the learning media deviates from the subject content. The media usage as an intermediary for delivering information makes it more varied, easy to understand, and interactive. Utilizing web-based learning media promises the independence of time and place and helps the learning process. This study aims to develop a web-based digital system learning media that is feasible and useful. The study uses the waterfall model software development method, namely the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). The findings indicate that the web-based digital system learning media is feasible and useful in the learning process.

Abstract

The 21st century era is characterized by the rapid advancement of digital technology that affects various aspects of life, including education. Digital technology offers various opportunities to improve the quality of education, including in developing creativity and innovation skills for learners. The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the role of digital technology in improving creativity and innovation skills for learners in the 21st century era. This research utilizes qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of literature studies. After the data is collected, the analysis is carried out through 3 steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, then a conclusion is drawn. The findings of this study show that digital technology has an important role in improving creativity and innovation skills for learners in the 21st century era. Digital technology can help learners to develop creative thinking, improve problem solving skills, and develop adaptability. Strategies to integrate digital technology in learning to improve creativity and innovation skills for learners include creating a conducive learning environment for the use of digital technology, providing training to teachers on the use of digital technology, and developing digital technology-based learning resources.

Abstract

The Indonesian government launched the Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) policy in 2020. This policy aims to provide greater autonomy to universities and students in designing learning that is innovative and in line with the needs of the times. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Merdeka Belajar system on student achievement in the medical education study program. This research uses quantitative research methods. Data was collected through surveys using questionnaires and literature studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using a regression test using the SPSS program. The research results show that there is a significant influence between the MBKM system on the achievement of students in the Medical Education study program. The group of students who took part in the MBKM program showed higher learning achievement compared to the group of students who did not take part in the MBKM program. This program provides students with the opportunity to learn and develop more optimally, thereby producing graduates who are more qualified and ready to face the challenges of an increasingly complex world of work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi dan mengidentifikasi sumber perolehan tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat dan pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat kelurahan Tounsaru Kecamatan Tondano Selatan Kabupaten Minahasa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksploratif dengan instrumen berupa kuisioner, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kauntitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Masyarakat mengolah tanaman obat dengan berbagai cara seperti direbus, ditempel, diparut, ditumbuk, digosok, dikonsumsi langsung, dikeringkan kemudian direbus, diperas, dan diminum. Selain itu, di kelurahan Tounsaru Kecamatan Tondano Selatan Kabupaten Minahasa terdapat 40 jenis tanaman 28 famili, 35 genus tumbuhan obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat. Untuk menjaga kelestarian cara pengolahan tanaman obat aparat desa dan masyarakat Desa Kelurahan Tounsaru Kecamatan Tondano Selatan Kabupaten Minahasa mewajibkan setiap pekarangan rumah untuk menanam tanaman obat atau yang biasa kita sebut dengan TOGA (Tanaman Obat Keluarga).

Abstract

Cherry tomatoes are a type of Red Dragon Fruit that has various benefits, including lowering cholesterol levels, preventing colon cancer, and strengthening the working power of muscles. Isolation of LAB isolated from Dragon Fruit as a production material for EPS. This study aims to isolate and identify LAB as a producer of EPS from red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhiruz), which can produce exopolysaccharides. This research uses a descriptive research method. Data from experimental research in the laboratory obtained 10 LAB isolates, namely isolates NG1, NG2, NG3, NG4, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9 and NG10. Based on the identification results, isolate NG1 has similarities with the genus Lactococcus (spherical, gram-positive, nonmotile, non-spore). While isolates NG2, NG3, NG4, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9 and NG10 have similarities with the genus Lactobacillus (rod form, nonmotile, gram-positive). Based on the morphological characteristics, which are gram-positive, catalase-negative and non-spore. The ten isolates of lactic acid bacteria are capable of producing EPS. these are the results of EPS acquisition, namely: NG1(152.1 mg/L), NG2(127.9 mg/L), NG3(134.6 mg/L), NG4(130.9 mg/L), NG5(137 mg/L), NG6(139.2 mg/L), NG7(204.9 mg/L), NG8(156.2 mg/L), NG9(136.4 mg/L), and NG10 (157, 3 mg/L). The highest amount of EPS was isolated NG7 at 204.9 mg/L. Meanwhile, the lowest EPS was isolated NG4 at 130.9 mg/L.
