Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the Project Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. This is an experimental study using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The method used is experimental with a quantitative approach. The study involved all students with a total learning outcome score of 1293.75. In the pre-test phase, the highest score obtained by students was 51, with an average score of 30. After the implementation of the Project Based Learning model, the maximum post-test score increased to 68. The analysis results showed that the significance value in the pre- test was 0.05, indicating no significant difference at the initial stage. However, the post-test result showed a significance value of 0.749, which is also greater than 0.05. This study illustrates that a project-based approach can be an alternative for improving the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Capaian pembelajaran siswa menunjukkan derajat kemahiran yang dicapai dalam menguasai program pendidikan, yang sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini berupaya untuk meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa Kelas V di SD Negeri 060827 Medan SM Raja dalam topik bahasa Indonesia dengan memanfaatkan Canva sebagai media pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, pencatatan, dan dokumentasi yang menggunakan metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 31 siswa dari Kelas V di SD Negeri 060827 Medan SM Raja. Temuan penelitian dari dua siklus menunjukkan bahwa persentase capaian pembelajaran siswa pada Siklus 1 mencerminkan skor rata-rata, sedangkan Siklus 2 menghasilkan persentase 86,7%. Pemanfaatan Canva sebagai media pendidikan dapat meningkatkan kinerja siswa dalam bahasa Indonesia untuk Kelas V di SD Negeri 060827 Medan SM Raja

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects through the use of Wordwall interactive learning media. The background of the research is based on the low learning achievement of students in class V of SD Negeri 060843 West Medan, most of whom have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kurt Lewin cycle model which includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The implementation was carried out in two cycles, with data collection through observation, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The average student score increased from 63.54 in the pre-cycle stage to 71.87 in cycle I and reached 83.12 in cycle II. The percentage of classical completeness also increased from 33% in the pre-cycle to 62.5% in cycle I and 87.5% in cycle II. This finding indicates that the use of Wordwall media not only improves students' understanding of the material, but also increases learning motivation and active involvement in the learning process. Thus, Wordwall media deserves to be used as an innovative alternative in teaching Indonesian language at the primary school level.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the PjBL model in the era of independent learning in the Indonesian Language and Literature Development course. The PjBL model used focuses on product creation and involves students directly in the learning process. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. This research was carried out in the even semester of FY 2022-2023. The subjects in this research were 24 semester 6-V students of PGSD UMN Al Washliyah who were taking the Indonesian Language and Literature Development course. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires and student project assignments. The research results show that 91.6 % of the PjBL models used by lecturers during the teaching and learning process have succeeded in making students active, creative and innovative in understanding the material and producing products. This can also be seen from the results of the learning products of the Indonesian Language and Literature Development course, namely that students were able to produce an Anthology of Children's Stories which can be used as a medium or learning resource for Indonesian language subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

The process of learning Indonesian in grade IV on the exchange or payment material still faces several challenges that hinder the effectiveness of learning. Low student grades are caused by the lack of active participation in learning, which is exacerbated by the use of conventional methods that tend to be boring. The lack of diversity of learning resources and the use of technology in learning also makes the material less interesting and difficult for students to understand. To improve the quality of learning, it is necessary to make changes to the teaching method and the use of more innovative and technology-based learning media such as the development of digital comic media assisted by Canva. This research method is development (Research and Development) with a 4D model which is an extension of Define, Design, Development and Dissemination. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, test questions and documentation. The validity of digital comic media from input from material experts, namely lecturers, got a score of 96% out of 10 statements. The validity of digital comic media from input from media experts, namely lecturers, got a score of 96% out of 9 statements. The practicality of digital comic media based on teacher responses got a score of 96% out of 10 statements. The effectiveness of comic media based on student responses scored 80% out of 15 questions consisting of 9 students. From the validation data, practicality and effectiveness, the development of digital comic media assisted by Canva in learning Indonesian language material on exchanging or paying for grade IV elementary school students is declared Valid to be used as teaching materials in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of using Wordwall learning media on the learning outcomes of class IV SDN 104255 Paluh Sibaji. The learning process of Science, indicates that student learning outcomes are not optimal. Wordwall learning media was chosen as an intervention because of its potential in increasing motivation and learning interactivity. This study uses a quasi-experimental quantitative research method using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collected include, quantitative data obtained from pretest scores in the form of questions on photosynthesis material. Then qualitative data in the form of student response questionnaire data to the WordWall learning media. Data collection techniques in this study are Pretest and posttest. The pretest was carried out at the beginning of the learning activity while the posttest was carried out at the end of learning, and student questionnaire data which is additional data aimed at finding out students' opinions about the WordWall learning media in Science learning. The results of the analysis showed that the average posttest score of students in the experimental class was 82.75, while the control class obtained an average of 72.10. Based on the t-test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 which indicates a significant increase between the two classes. Then, the results indicate that the Wordwall learning media has a positive and significant influence on improving the learning outcomes of class IV students of SDN 104255 Paluh Sibaji. Thus, the use of WordWall media has proven effective in improving student learning outcomes and can be an innovative alternative in the learning process.

Abstract

Literature is a form of one's ideas through a view of the social environment around him by using beautiful language. Literature is present as a result of the author's reflection on existing phenomena. Literature as a work of fiction with a deeper understanding, is not just an imaginary story or wishful thinking of the author, but a manifestation of the author's creativity in exploring and managing the ideas in his mind. This local wisdom is also owned by the North Sumatran Malay community through their folklore. In this folklore from North Sumatra, there is a legend, namely Putri Hijau with the value of local wisdom that is very strongly attached. In the current landscape of Indonesia, what is meant by "local" culture should be more accurately called "sub-nation" culture. Local wisdom has a close relationship with traditional culture in a place, in that local wisdom contains many views and rules so that people have more foothold in determining an action such as the behavior of everyday people.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep dasar geometri yang meliputi titik, garis, dan sudut serta keterkaitannya dengan objek nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Titik dipahami sebagai konsep dasar geometri yang tidak memiliki dimensi (panjang, lebar, dan tinggi), melainkan hanya menunjukkan suatu posisi. Garis merupakan kumpulan titik-titik yang memanjang tanpa batas ke dua arah, sedangkan sudut adalah daerah yang dibentuk oleh dua sinar garis yang bertemu pada satu titik pangkal yang sama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan konseptual melalui analisis contoh-contoh konkret di lingkungan sekitar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep geometri akan lebih mudah dipahami apabila dikaitkan dengan objek nyata seperti ujung pensil (titik), sisi meja dan tepi jalan (garis), serta sudut pintu dan jarum jam (sudut). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran geometri dasar menjadi lebih kontekstual, representatif, dan mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa maupun siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran geometri di sekolah dasar seringkali dianggap abstrak karena kurangnya keterkaitan dengan pengalaman nyata siswa, yang berdampak pada rendahnya minat belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika melalui motif kain Ulos Batak guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri siswa kelas tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengembangan produk yang menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dan media visual digital menggunakan GeoGebra dan Canva. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi budaya lokal dalam matematika mampu memvisualisasikan konsep bangun datar, pola berulang, dan simetri secara konkret. Kebaruan proyek ini terletak pada pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk membedah unsur geometris pada warisan budaya tradisional secara interaktif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media berbasis etnomatematika efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa serta menumbuhkan apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal. Perangkat ini layak digunakan sebagai inovasi strategi pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual dan bermakna di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pengukuran sudut di sekolah dasar sering kali terkendala oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menentukan skala angka yang tepat pada busur derajat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan warna dan label penanda pada busur derajat terhadap tingkat ketepatan siswa dalam membaca nilai sudut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SD Swasta Tiara. Instrumen utama yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan membaca sudut menggunakan dua jenis busur derajat (standar dan modifikasi warna) serta lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui uji beda rata-rata (t-test) untuk membandingkan akurasi pembacaan sudut antar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan busur derajat dengan label warna yang membedakan skala luar dan dalam secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan ketepatan pembacaan sudut dibandingkan busur derajat konvensional atau tidak berwarna. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah modifikasi visual pada alat ukur dapat meminimalkan kesalahan kognitif siswa dalam memahami konsep pengukuran geometri.
