Abstract

AbstrakKerapu cantik merupakan kerapu hibrid hasil persilangan antara betina kerapu macan dan jantan kerapu batik. Salah satu permasalahan dalam pembenihan kerapu cantik secara umum, yaitu pertumbuhan stadia awal benih kerapu cantik yang lambat. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan menambahkan taurin pada pakan buatan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan benih ikan kerapu cantik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan taurin pada pakan buatan terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan kerapu cantik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RAL dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu pemberian pakan buatan dengan kadar taurin 0% (P1), 0,5% (P2) dan 1% (P3) yang diberikan pada benih ikan kerapu cantik dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang enam kali. Hasil pemeliharaan selama 45 hari menunjukkan bahwa penambahan taurin sebesar 1% pada pakan buatan memberikan pertumbuhan tertinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya dan berbeda nyata (p<0,05). Penambahan taurin 1% pada pakan buatan tidak memberikan hasil sintasan yang berbeda dengan kontrol (taurin 0%). AbstractCantik grouper is hybrid grouper, it is the results of a crossover between females tiger grouper and males batik grouper. One of the problems in breeding cantik grouper in common is the growth of early stadia juvenile cantik grouper is slow. This problem could be solved by added taurine in the feed to increase the growth of juvenile cantik grouper. The purpose of this research is to find the influence of the addition of taurine in the feed on the growth and survival rate of juvenile cantik grouper. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) method with three treatments, which is giving taurine to feed with 0 % (P1), 0.5 % (P2) and 1 % (P3) concentration given to the juvenile cantik groupers and the treatment has been repeated six times. The results of breeding for 45 days showed that the addition of 1 % taurine in feed give the highest growth than other treatment and differs markedly ( p<0.05 ). The addition of 1% taurine gives no different result with the control variable (0% taurine).

Abstract

Abstract Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon Farb) is one of marine shrimps that have an important economically from fisheries sector. But since the end of 1993 up to now, there is high shrimp mortality that caused by the diseases andwater quality. It caused olmost the shrimp farmer lossed harvesting and due to this circumstance have been caused many ponds collapsed. The main objective of this societies service activities is applicated a new shrimp culture technology with traditional plus by using Best Management Practise (BMP), for increases the shrimp harvest at Permisan village, Region of Sidoarjo, it was done on May until October 2012. The method using in the activity were socialitation/counseling, dempond and guiding to application of the BMP Methode in one periode. Monitoring and evaluation about this result were done in one month after the activity ending. The result showed that a positive indication. There was the knowledges of the farmer in ceases by socialization, it also applicated a model in the right method for shrimp culture. There were also showed that the BMP Methode can inceased the shrimp harvest from 267 kg/ha to 903,652 kg/ha, it means was increased 276, %. The conclution of this activity is the BMP Methode can increased the shrimp harvest and can applicates in more larges area in Sidoarjo Region.

Abstract

Abstract Transportation makes stress for fish because of high density and decreasing of water quality. Stress can increase blood glucose. Bandotan have Ca blocking effect. The Ca blocking effect occur in reticulum endoplasmic in smooth muscle. This research aimed to identify bandotan leaf effect in transport medium on blood glucose of koi fish post transportation and to identify best dosage of bandotan leaf on koi fish tranport medium to decrease the blood glucose of koi fish post transportation. Research method used was experimental. Treatment used was providign different bandotan leaf dossage: A (0 g/L), B (0.45 g/L), C (0,9 g/L), D (1.35 g/L) and E (1.8 g/L) and each treatment was repeaetd four times. Main parameter observed in this research was koi fish blood glucose every eight hours for twenty four hours and supporting parameter consisted of: water quality and fish mortality rate. Then the data obtained were prepared using ANOVA, continued by Dunnett Test and then by Duncan's Multiple Distance. Research result shwoed that bandotan leaf supply in transport medium had no effect on koi fish blood glucose post transportation and highest dosage of bandotan leaf in transport medium on blood glucose of koi fish post transportation was 0.45 g/L.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this IbM program was empowerement for fish and prawn farmers through good conducting and correctness management of fish and prawn cultures in pond. Activity method were discussion and training on management of fish and prawn culture in pond.. Result of this IbM program were improve knowledge and skill of fish and prawn farmers to manage well and correctness of fish and prawn cultures in pond. This program can used to effort increase production yield of fish and prawn cultures in pond.

Abstract

Abstract Carp (C. carpio L.) is one commodity of fresh water fishery sector continues to grow rapidly in Indonesia. One of the factors that determine the success of aquaculture is the availability of sufficient feed, both in quantity and quality. The aim of this research was to find out optimum percentage of feeding maggot meal in artificial feed on growth, efficiency of feed and survival rate of common carp juvenile. The treatment of this researh was feeding maggot meal in artificial feed i.e. 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The design of this research was Completely Randomized Design. Data analysis used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to know the effect of the treatment and the difference among the treatment used Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of this research showed that the growth, efficiency of feed and survival rate of common carp that given maggot meal in artificial feed was not significantly (P>0,05). Water quality on culture medium, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia was 2832oC, 7-8, 5 mg/L and 0,02-0,05mg/L respectively.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the percentage of coral reefs with extensive closure Biorock method and determine the relationship between the percentage of closure on the abundance of fish species in the area of rehabilitation with Biorock method. The study was conducted at two locations, locations with Biorock and natural reefs (Reef Seen). Research carried out by using the line transect method or Point Intercept Transect (PIT) with a direct enumeration technique Cencus Visual Method (VCM) and photo transects for data reef fish and coral reef data. Transects installed in locations that have been selected, the depth of 8 m. The main parameters studied, namely the abundance of coral and fish species identified at the sites. Supporting the studied parameters of physical and chemical parameters of waters, including: temperature, salinity, water pH and brightness and the percentage cover of coral. Measurement of water quality, including: temperature, depth, salinity, acidity and brightness. The results of this research is vast percentage of coral cover on the location Biorock of 38.5% with the type of branching Acropora growth, while at the location of Reef Seen by 43.5% to the type of hard coral growth form of corals that dominate submasif. The percentage of coral cover has no influence on the abundance of species of reef fish in the territorial waters of Pemuteran, Bali.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to know the effect of kinds of feeding on growth and survival rate of spiny eel. This research used experimental method and Completely Random Design method with six treatment and each treatment was replicated four times. The treatments are : artificial feed (A), nila fish (B), shrimp (C), combination of artificial feed with nila fish (D), combination of artificial feed with shrimp (E) and combination of nila fish with shrimp (F). The main parameter observed are specific growth rate, growth of absolute length and survival rate. The support parameter is water quality. The data analiysis of this research used a Analysis of Varian (ANAVA) and to determine the best performed used Duncan's Multiple Range test. The result of this research showed that given kinds of feeding was not significantly difference (p>0,05) to specific growth rate, growth of absolute length and survival rate of spiny eel. The average value of growth of absolute length, specific growth rate and survival rate of each treatment are treatment C (2,5062 mm), treatment C (0,9375 %BT/hari) and treatment C (71,6495%).

Abstract

Abstract The demand for domestic or worldwide market to freshwater crayfish is high. Wherefor, needed some cultivation to reach that demand. The growth period of freshwater crayfish is slowly, then to increase growth needed addition some supplement in the feed. The aim of this research was to find out the influence of addition honey in the feed concerning to growth and survival rate freshwater crayfish seed red claw (C. quadricarinatus) and also to figure out the best dose of addition honey which one could increase growth and survival rate of freshwater crayfish red claw (C. quadricarinatus) seed. The method in the research was used Completely Randomized Design with 9 treatment. The addition doze of honey in every feed is different such as A (0 ml/kg of feed) as control, B (300 ml/kg of feed), C (400 ml/kg of woof), D (500 ml/kg of feed), E (600 ml/kg of feed), F (700 ml/kg of feed), G (800 ml/kg of feed), H (900 ml/kg of feed) dan I (1000 ml/kg of feed), in every treatment must repeated 3 times. The result of this research figure out that an addition honey in feed of freshwater crayfish red claw (C. quadricarinatus) was not obviously influence to growth and also survival rate. The best doze of honey to add in feed of freshwater crayfish red claw (C. quadricarinatus) to reach maximal weight growing up is 800 ml/kg of feed.

Abstract

AbstractThe chromosome manipulation in fish is one of the strategy that will be used to produce of the high generation and good quality in its genetics, as follow fast to grow, disease resistant, high survival, tolerate with environment exchange and easy to be cultured. One of manipulation chromosome the method in fish used thermal temperature shock. The aim of the study was to know the thermal temperature shock and the time after fertilization forward hatching rate and abnormality of nile fish larvae and also to know the thermal temperature shock and the time after fertilization that resulted the best hatching rate and abnormality in nile fish larvae. The method was Factorial Completed Randomized Design as experimental design. The treatment used temperatures shock were 40ºC, 41ºC and 42ºC as long as 2,5 minutes, with the time of 80, 85 and 90 minutes after fertilization, each treatment was four replications. The primary parameter was hatching rate and abnormality of nile fish larvae and the secondary parameter were fertilization and water quality. The result showed that the thermal temperature shock was significantly influenced to hatch rate and abnormality, but the time of shocking after fertilization and the interaction between them showed were not significantly influenced to hatch rate and abnormality. The highest of hatching rate and abnormality percentage was showed by the treatment with shocking 40°C was 90,77 percent and 2,60 percent.
