Abstract

ABSTRACT Community in Batu Karak kanagarian of Dilam case sub-province of Solok use spring water as potable drinking water well directly or paraphrased in advance. In Batu Karak kanagarian of Dilam case sub-province of Solok there are five springs where the water fountain is popularly but used as a drinking water fountain that is only two spring,  Cibuak Gadang and Cibuak Karang . Cibuak Gadang located on the edge of fields and Cibuak Karang located on the edge of the river. Viewed in terms of the availability of possible locations for the second pollution this spring. Based on information obtained from clinic staff Batu Karak kanagarian of Dilam that disease most often suffered diarrhea and suspected people are this could be due to diarrheal diseases due to microbial infection through drinking water . The study was conducted to determine the density of Escherichia coli at water points in Batu Karak kanagarian of Dilam case sub-province of Solok.The study was carried out in July - August 2013 with a two-point sampling of the water in Batu Karak kanagarian of Dilam case sub-province of Solok regency and extended the analysis of the Labor mikrobiologis Biology STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This research using the MPN method 3:3:3 modes with10ml of treatment,1ml and 0.1ml. The results showed that the density of E. coli at water points Cibuak Gadang is 1100/100 ml and E. coli densities in Cibuak Karang is ≥ 2400/100 ml . From the results of this study note that the water from these springs is not eligible to be consumed as drinking water and do not meet water quality requirements set by the government .

Abstract

ABSTRACTProfessional teachers are teachers who are able to develop learning tools such as the annual program, the semester program, syllabus and lesson plan (RPP). In this case the teachers are required to prove their professionalism to design the lesson plans. However, in general classroom teachers state high schools in district XI Sijunjung make lesson plan indicators relate to each other without regard to the purpose of learning. This study aims to find out standardization lesson plan made by biology teacher Class XI Semester II state high schools in district Sijunjung. This research is a descriptive study, with a view component completeness lesson plan and lesson plan analyze the relationship between the components. Samples taken by stratified random sampling. Of this study showed that in terms of the completeness of components obtained an average RPP for completeness existing lesson plan component is 63.13% with enough standard criteria,  and 36.87% were not there with not standard criteria, and the average RPP made by high school biology teacher in class XI country in the district is 65.125% Sijunjung with fairly standard criteria. From the analysis it can be concluded that the lesson plans created by teachers biology classes in the District XI State high schools Sijunjung enough standard.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStudent Work Sheet (LKS) is a sheet contains work to be done by students. Sheet sare typically in the form of instructions, the steps to complete at ask and the task to be performed. LKS is a contextual-based instructional materials created as a guide in conducting  learning, where work sheet sare presented leading todaily life so that the students are able to connect the material they learn to real world situations and encourage them to use it ineveryday life.This type of research is the development of research by using 4-D models that consists of 4 stages, define, design, develop and disseminate. At this stage of develop test the validity and practicalities. These data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. LKS validity test results from didactic aspects, technical construction and the validator shows that LKS produced valid with a value 88.8%. LKS practicalities of test results from the aspects of ease of use, the benefits, and time efficiency of learning by teachers and students indicate that the resulting practical worksheets to the value of 84.09%. This suggests that from this research has generated worksheets based contextual on the material digestive system is valid and practical.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lesson Plan (RPP) serves to streamline the learning process. To achieve that all teachers are expected to design a lesson plan (RPP) in accordance with the standards of Teacher Performance Assessment Instrument (IPKG). But in fact reality is just copying the teacher lesson in fact. The Teacher just coppied RPP from the old (KKG). RPP should fits with the character of local learners and RPP each semester has not been revised  in accordence with the derelopment of science and tecnology. Therefore conducted an analysis of the RPP. The purpose of this rosgarel is to deternine the standarized lesson plans that mode by state high scool teachers. This research is descriptive wich collects RPP that made from state high shcool teachers in Padang city. Sampling technique is Stratified Random Sampling. Based on the research results obtained on the completeness of the components that is with an average of 67 % and that there are no 33 % and the results of the analysis of assessment instruments in the RPP desert city with an average value of 70 % with a fairly standard criteria. From the analysis and completeness of the components can be concluded that the RPP in the city of Padang has a fairly standard criteria .

Abstract

ABSTRACT The factor of environment in learning process are needed attetion by the  teacher is some learning media, that can make easier student for learning process. One of the effort that should be to do by the teacher to make student easier in learning proses is preapere learning media. Base of observation and result of interview with one of biology teacher at SMP N 30 Padang  that say in the learning teacher use material teachesas tesk book and LKS in the marked. Related didn’t have handout so  it can be developed the handout with picture consept map of respiration system in biology for junior high school. This research was developmental research which was used 4-D models, it consists four steps but that limited become 3 steps were define,design and develop. Practicality test by 2 teachers and 37 students at class VIII of junior high school. Analisys data by percentage technique and process of descriptive. The result of validity handout with picture concept map in by validator showed that handout was very valid with 90,62%. The result of practicality handout by the teachers showed that this handout with criteria very practice 90,72% and the result practicality by students showed that this handout in criteria practice was 82,50 %. It can be concluded that handout with picture concept map of respiration system it was valid and practice.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Teacher-centered learning (teacher center) is less attractive to some students resulting in low student learning outcomes obtained . The low yield is due to students learning tends to be passive during learning , the lack of interaction between students and teachers , and students with other students . Therefore, this study used the technique in the form of discussion which is a technique Quick On The Draw is accompanied by a handout that can make students more active and the interaction between students and other students or between students and teachers . This study aimed to examine the effect of quick on the draw techniques coupled with giving handouts on learning outcomes biology MTsN Tarusan eighth grade students on the material in the Human Respiratory System. This research is an experimental study with a  randomized study design posttest Only Control Group Design . Implementation research is conducted in an experimental class VIII.B class with 41 students and the number of classes that control VIII.C classes totaling40 students . Statistical hypothesis testing is used is the t-test . The results showed that the class that uses learning techniques Quick On The Draw has an average value of 80.07 is higher than the conventional classroom learning with the use of an average of 72.98. T-test results of testing on the real level of 0.05 obtained T count = 2.57 and T table = 1.66 means T count > T table . The conclusion of this research is the student learning outcomes obtained using learning techniques Quick On The Draw is accompanied by a handout higher than on student learning outcomes using conventional learning material on the human respiratory system in class VIII MTsN Tarusan South Coast.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  To reach the goal of learning, teaching media is really crucial in theaching and learning process.The type of teaching media developed is interactive teaching media. It is a kind of multimedia format that is designed in compact disc with the purpose of interactive application in it. Teaching media that is commonly used at school nowadays is powe point. This kind of media still cannot attract students attention yet. Because of this problem, interative teaching media was developed for learning material excretion system at the seccondgrade of senior high school. The purpose of the study was to investigate the validity and practicality of interactive teaching media. This study was research development that used 4D  Models consists of four stages: define, design, develop and disseminate. The research was done at develop stage. Meanwhile, at define stage, the curriculum and student’s analysis was done. The interactive teaching media for learning material excretion system for students it self was designed at stage design. Then, the validity test was conducted at the testing. The practicality was done by two teacher and twenty students of third grade in senior high school. The data was analyzed by percentage technique and presented descriptively. The result of validity test for interactive teaching media reveals that interactive teaching media is valid, 88,65 % based on material aspect, type of media, motivation and language. Moreover, from practicality test, it shows that interactive teaching media is very practical in use, 88,64 % and the results of practicality test from students is 80,9 % (practical). Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that interactive teaching media for learning material excretion system at the second grade of senior high school have fulfilled the validity and practicality criteria.

Abstract

 Media of learning is very important in teaching learning process, each of media is teaching material. The teaching material that using by the teacher is handout. Handout that using in the school is less in terest, in view of picture because the picture have not a colour, so, do not can in terest the students attention in learning. Based on that case, developed the media of learning such a pictorial handout with mind map in biological variety material for SMA class X. The purpose of this research is to know the validity and practicalities a pictorial handout with mind map. This research is development research that using model 4-D that consists of: Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. The Disseminate step do not conduct because of the limitation of the researcher. Subject of the research consist of 4 validators and practicalities test conducted by 2 teacher and 20 students of SMAN 1 Lengayang second grade class XI-IPA3. The result of validity test pictorial handout with mind map by validators, indicated that pictorial handout with mind map was valid criteria, that is 86,74%, in terms of   didaktik aspect, contruction and technigue. The result of practicalities test a pictorial handout with mind map by the teacher showed that pictorial handout  with mind map in practical criteria, that is 86,38%, from the practicalities students test84,99% in practical criteria. Based on the result of the research with mind map in Biological variety maretial for SMA first grade class X that have been resulted valid and practical.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Teaching  material  is  all  of  material  (such  information,  tool,  although  texts)  which arranged in systematic, that show the intact form of competencies will dominate by the student and using in learning proces with the purpose planning and implementing of learning. LDS  is each of teaching material that prepare by the teacher for students in achievement the goals of learning. Dealing with observation and interview toward teacher and student that in SMPN 22 Padang, already used LDS in learning process. LDS that using is less interest the student attention. The caused is LDS has unclear picture, unclear instruction and LDS do not have clear explanation, at the result the students get confuse in doing activity. The purpose of this research is to resulted LDS that begin with concept map in respiration system material at humans which valid and practice. The reseach of LDS development that begin with concept map in respiration system at humans, develop  with  using  model  4-D,  cousist  of  the  define  step,  design  step,  develop  step,  and disseminate step, but this research only in develop step.The result of the research have been got, the validity to ward lecturer and teacher around 85,16% with some aspect of validity criteria didactic, construction and  technique, meanwhile in  practicalitas value toward teacher  around85,27% with practical criteria and view of student interest and show the picture in conclusion, LDS that resulted was valid and very practice.Â
