Abstract

We fabricated a ZnO nanostructures based TFT on plastic substrate by solution method under low temperature. ZnO nanostructures were prepared by zinc nitrate hexahydrate, and hexamethylenetetramine. The device shows hard saturation characteristics and exhibits a high off-resistance. The output characteristics devices also shows current saturation and pinch off behavior, in which the high of current saturation obtained 266 mA at VGS = 40 V and VDS = 42.5 V. The pH response on the electrical properties was also studied. It was found that the threshold voltage shifted from 10.21 V to 13 V as pH solution gradually increased. The Ion/Ioff for as grown TFTs and TFTs with pH response of 10.21 shifted from 1.86 x 105 to 7.03 x 106 at VDS = 20 V. The obtained sensitivity of devices was 1.05 V/pH.

Abstract

This review of the literature looks into the use of vibration and thermal signals for the diagnosis and detection of bearing problems in brushless DC (BLDC) motors. The study highlights the efficacy of current developments in diagnostic algorithms and signal processing approaches in detecting bearing irregularities. The comparative study of vibration and heat monitoring techniques is highlighted, along with a discussion of each method's benefits and drawbacks. The integration of various methods for improved fault detection accuracy is also examined in the paper. The results indicate that a hybrid strategy that combines temperature analysis and vibration provides a reliable way to identify BLDC motor problems early on, which could enhance maintenance plans and operational dependability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of integrating a 70 kWh Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO)-based Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) into the traction system of a Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) operating on the Bandung–Cimahi–Padalarang corridor. Two primary problems are addressed: (1) regenerative braking energy wasted as heat in brake resistors, and (2) limited diesel engine power ramp-up response during acceleration. The methodology applies technical analysis based on real operational data loggers at 0.5-second resolution and numerical power flow simulation on a 1,500 VDC link across 12 daily trip cycles. Results show that battery integration increases initial traction effort by 18.1% (82.75 kN → 97.77 kN), reduces 0–25 km/h acceleration time by 26.7% (24.54 s → 17.98 s), and improves notch-P7 acceleration by 39.3%. Fuel savings reach 4.99 liters/cycle (7.14%), equivalent to 21,856 liters/year. Recovered regenerative energy is 6.48 kWh/cycle. CO₂ reductions total 59,228 kg/year, equivalent to planting 2,692 trees. Investment analysis yields a positive NPV of IDR 192,064,475 with a 2.35-year payback period, within the 3.42-year battery service life.
