Abstract

Literacy could be a supporter of the forefront of education. Teachers have a crucial role in filtering and remodeling data on their students. The utilization of knowledge skill has to be trained by sorting and selecting the proper media for learning whose main purpose is to extend students' intelligence. Skill coaching is a way to boost the flexibility to use learning media, particularly Early Childhood Education and Kindergartens in Lubuk Begalung, Padang. The objectives to be achieved include: to increase the insight of Early Childhood Education and Kindergarten teachers about media, and the ability of media information literacy in learning. Training methods i.e. lectures, discussions, questions, and answers, and case simulations. The conclusion obtained from this activity is that early childhood and kindergarten teachers can choose the media responsibly and able to criticize media content more intelligent in the classroom.

Abstract

The development program of Smart Village to improve the education motivation of community was carried out in Tanjung Rejo Village, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province. This program is supported by partners, government and youth organizations in Tanjung Rejo Village. The program is the first of three years planned program. It is hoped that during the three years of the program running, the Open University of UPBJJ Medan will be able to turn Tanjung Rejo Village into a Smart Village with the criteria that the village community is aware of the importance of education for life, for family welfare, for the progress of the village, nation and state; rural communities will improve their education up to university; villager love to read; the youth villagers have a wide range of skills; teachers in the village have good teaching skills; villager officials have professional capabilities in administering village government administration, managing village finances, and processing village statistical data. Thus, it is hoped that the development of human resources in Tanjung Rejo Village will improve in the future.The first year programs in 2022 that had been implemented included (1) activities to equalize public perceptions to increase awareness of rural communities on the importance of early education and reading culture and to increase motivation for higher education for village youth; (2) training activities to analyze learning videos in the UT Online Smart Teacher Portal to improve teaching skills, critical thinking and creative skills for Kindergarten/PAUD, SD, SMP teachers in Tanjung Rejo Village; (3) compiling Environmental Education textbooks as a guide for teachers and parents in teaching students and children to read aloud environmental education books so that students and children love to read, perceive, love, and protect their living environment; (4) Instruct teachers and parents on how to read environmental education textbooks to students and children; (5) publish program activities in newspapers in North Sumatera.Keywords: educational motivation, environmental education, reading attentiveness, smart village,teachers tutoringABSTRAKProgram pengembangan model Kampung Cerdas untuk meningkatkan motivasi pendidikan masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Rejo, Kec.Percut Sei Tuan, Kab. Diharapkan selama tiga tahun program berjalan, Universitas Terbuka UPBJJ Medan akan mampu menjadikan Desa Tanjung Rejo menjadi Kampung Cerdas dengan kriteria masyarakat desa sadar akan pentingnya pendidikan bagi kehidupan, bagi kesejahteraan keluarga, bagi kemajuan desa, bangsa dan negara; masyarakat desa akan meningkatkan pendidikan hingga perguruan tinggi; masyarakat desa gemar membaca; pemuda desa memiliki berbagai keterampilan; guru di desa memiliki keterampilan mengajar yang baik; aparat desa memiliki kemampuan profesional dalam menyelenggarakan administrasi pemerintahan desa, pengelolaan keuangan desa, dan pengolahan data statistik desa. Abstract

True education is something that has a role as a foundation in human life. Therefore, the implementation of both formal and non-formal education must be carried out as well as possible and oriented towards the future of students. Education has the main goal of becoming a medium for developing potential and educating students, in this case students, so that they are ready to face life in the future. The era of globalization which is full of challenges, especially the world of education, requires students to be able to master literacy. It is known that literacy is an ability possessed by a person, both the ability to read, write, listen and speak. And what becomes one of the most important literacy in students is reading. Where reading is one of the language skills that must be possessed by students. Through the use of the teaching modules used, it is hoped that reading literacy will increase. This study aims to find out how the use of teaching modules increases reading literacy in PENDAS UPBJJ UT Padang students. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are by interview, observation, and documentation. The module is one of the teaching aids used by students in the lecture process. The existence of teaching modules can present new learning variants and make learning more understandable and reading activities can develop.

Abstract

This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted for 2 cycles with 3 meetings. Methods of data collection using written tests, observation sheets to observe the participation of Early Childhood Education students.The results showed that there was an increase in Student Participation Through Concept Map Learning for Early Childhood Education students. In cycle I it was 52.50% and in cycle II it was 75.83%. So, from cycle I to cycle II, students' reading comprehension ability increased by 23.33%. While the increase in student participation through learning concept maps for Early Childhood Education students in cycle I was 41.67% and in cycle II was 75%. So from cycle I to cycle II it increased 33.33%. Therefore it can be concluded that Concept Map learning can increase student participation in early childhood education.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajaran holistik integratif bagi pendidikan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Penentuan subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dengan subjek penelitian adalah TK Setia dan Tunas Bahari. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dengan mengamati langsung bagaimana jalannya proses pembelajaran holistik integratif. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa TK Setia dan Tunas Bahari di kota Baubau telah mengimplementasikan pembelajaran holistik integratif. Diantaranya dalam menentukan dan merencanakan kegiatan proses belajar mengajar di kelas, guru telah melakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan baik. TK Setia dan Tunas Bahari yang berada di kota Baubau juga telah memberikan layanan kesehatan dan gizi untuk anak selama di sekolah.

Abstract

Selama ini, belum banyak dikembangkan pendidikan inklusi bagi anak tunanetra usia dini. Artikel ini sebagai kontribusi penyadaran bagi seluruh pelaku pendidikan anak usia dini terhadap kelangkaan fasilitas pendidikan di lembaga pendidikan inklusi bagi anak tunanetra. Kesadaran akan fasilitas pendidikan inklusi untuk bidang musik, selain perlu segera direalisasi, juga perlu dipayungi oleh kebijakan-kebijakan filosofis, yuridis, dan teoritis. Untuk itu, artikel ini dibuat dalam pendekatan best practice, guna menghasilkan kesadaran bagi pemangku kebijakan hingga pelaksana pendidikan inklusi bagi anak tunanetra usia dini. Diperlukan supporting system yang tepat guna dan tepat sasaran untuk mengatasi masalah pendidikan bagi anak tunanetra usia dini, dengan memanfaatkan kombinasi teknologi digital dan teknologi konvensional di bidang pendidikan musik. Abstract

The Open University is one of the campuses of choice for students who work while studying. Limited time due to busy work causes nutritional problems. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between employment status and balanced nutrition knowledge with the nutritional status of Open University students. Cross-sectional research design with respondents totaling 84 people. The study was conducted from November to December 2022. Data collection using google form. The data is processed with the SPSS program and presented in descriptive form and correlation tests. The relationship between variables is analyzed with the Spearman Test. A total of 73.8% of respondents were employed and 26.2% were unemployed. The average nutritional knowledge of respondents was 68.78%. Half of the respondents had normal nutritional status, 38% overnutrition status and 11.4% undernourished. The results of the study did not have a relationship between employment status and nutritional status but there was a positive relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status. The value of the correlation coefficient between the variables of occupational status and balanced nutrition knowledge is 0.312, which shows that there is a positive correlation and relationship between employment status and nutritional knowledge with nutritional status.

Abstract

Para guru PAUD dan SD di daerah khususnya di Desa Sukarame Carita Kabupaten Pandeglang banyak mengalami keterbatasan dalam mengakses dan memanfaatkan media digital interaktif untuk penguatan pendidikan karakter di kelas. Kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi sederhana dalam pembelajaran berdampak pada rendahnya variasi metode pengajaran nilai-nilai karakter, seperti empati, disiplin, dan kesadaran spiritual. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dan SD dalam menggunakan aplikasi Animated Drawings sebagai media pembelajaran karakter yang inovatif dan interaktif. Jumlah peserta yang terlibat sebanyak 18 orang dari beberapa lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini dan sekolah dasar di wilayah sasaran. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik pembuatan media, implementasi di kelas, dan evaluasi. Tahapan pelaksanaan diawali dengan identifikasi kebutuhan, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung, pendampingan implementasi, hingga evaluasi efektivitas penggunaan Animated Drawings dalam pembelajaran karakter. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mengajarkan nilai empati, disiplin, dan kesadaran spiritual kepada peserta didik. Selain itu, penggunaan Animated Drawings terbukti mampu meningkatkan minat belajar anak dan memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter secara lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Guru SD–SMA di Kota Dili, Timor-Leste masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam memahami dan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang kreatif dan kontekstual. Permasalahan ini berdampak pada variasi kualitas pembelajaran di kelas serta minimnya integrasi model pembelajaran dalam RPP. Program pengabdian internasional ini bermitra dengan Pusat Budaya Indonesia dan Yayasan An-Nur Dili dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru melalui workshop implementasi model pembelajaran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 12–13 Juni 2024 dengan melibatkan 45 guru dari jenjang SD hingga SMA. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi, praktik penyusunan RPP dan demonstrasi model pembelajaran, sesi tanya jawab, serta monitoring penerapan di kelas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat ketercapaian workshop berada pada skor rata-rata 4,00 (setara 100%) dan tingkat kepuasan mitra juga memperoleh skor 4,00 (100%), yang menandakan materi, pendampingan, dan praktik yang diberikan sangat sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa kombinasi paparan konsep, latihan terarah, dan pendampingan aplikasi di kelas efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman dan keterampilan guru. Kesimpulannya, pola workshop–praktik–monitoring dapat dijadikan model replikasi pada sekolah-sekolah di Dili dengan penyesuaian konteks lokal dan dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemangku kepentingan pendidikan.
