Abstract

Islamic law will inevitably take some forms. There is room for reformulation even when using different legal istinbat techniques. Maqashid sharia is among the issues that Islamic legal scholars are concerned with. Maqashid, as a historical field, has developed quickly, moving from being an integral science to an autonomous one. It is crucial that legal observers understand how intricate the maqashid development process is. In this instance, the author—who is regarded as the father of maqashid sharia—presents a study of the evolution of classical maqashid prior to Imam Syatibi.  The problems are formulated as follows: 1) How does the concept of maqashid compare to four figures prior to Syatibi? and 2) How does maqashid fit into the concept of religious moderation in relation to four figures? A descriptive-analytical technique is employed in the qualitative research methodology. According to the study's findings, the ideas of Imam al-Juwaini, al-Ghazali, al-Qarafi, and al-Thufi are pertinent and consistent with the four key pillars of religious moderation—tolerance, acceptance of local customs, national commitment, and nonviolence. Thus, the idea of religious moderation aligns with the principles of maqashid sharia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify research gaps in the harmonisation of school leadership and foundations in the development of human resources (HR) within Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions. Although several studies address the relationship between leadership and HR development, research specifically examining the dynamics between school leadership and foundations in the context of ECE remains limited. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data collection techniques include in-depth observations, and interviews. The data obtained is analysed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the educator standards at TKIT Nurussyifa encompass four key competencies: pedagogical, social, personal, and professional. Each teacher is expected to possess these competencies to effectively fulfil their responsibilities. The headteacher’s role is to lead and guide teachers in school activities and programmes, while teachers are accountable for the learning process. The foundation plays a crucial role in supporting the headteacher and teachers, as well as managing the school’s operational funding. In terms of management and HR development, the foundation seeks to enhance teaching quality through selective and intensive teacher recruitment. The headteacher also actively contributes to the professional development of teachers through relevant seminars and training. The practical implications of this study suggest that school and foundation managers must continue to collaborate to create an environment conducive to the development of quality human resources. Consequently, this harmonisation benefits not only the educational institution but also positively impacts students and the broader community.

Abstract

Innovating in education is essential, as educational management innovation plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning and the efficiency of managing early childhood education facilities, as demonstrated in early childhood education at RA Aisyiyah Sidoharjo. This case study allows us to transform the nature of innovation in education, innovation in extracurricular activities, and innovation in implementing work programs. This qualitative study featuring a case analysis necessitates data-gathering methods that include detailed observation, discussions with the RA leader and the teaching board, and documentary proof. The gathered data is subsequently examined through data reduction, data visualization, and conclusion. The study’s results indicate that the effective implementation of technology for fostering innovation in learning and enhancing branding institutions through social media tools has been achieved. The execution of a project-based curriculum has not been fully optimized, but it benefits from numerous extracurricular programs that enhance students’ skills and creativity through activities like reading and writing, drum bands, mini Reyog, dancing, and Quran recitation, all of which are carried out very effectively. Through this joint innovation, it can enhance education and health initiatives, boost the competitiveness of organizations, and elevate the quality of institutions.
