Abstract

The design of several vehicles by changing the design of the vehicle body and household materials using composites has already been carried out in Indonesia using various methods and using natural materials that are easy to find. A unique motorcycle body design can give an attractive impression from the appearance of the motorcycle in use, seen from the new physical conditions with the image of a motorcycle that is easily engineered in such a way that it becomes an opportunity for motorcycle manufacturers to design motorcycle bodies with natural materials that can received potential market share. One of the natural materials that can be made or designed to be used as an alternative to composite raw materials as motor designs that are easy to find in the NTT region is one of them is palm fiber, whose use is still limited.

Abstract

Perkembangan di bidang teknologi dan sciences belakangan ini mendorong material komposit banyak di gunakan pada berbagai macam produk. Komposit yang diperkuat oleh serat alam telah banyak digunakan untuk aplikasi seperti aerospace, otomotif, alat olahraga, papan sirkuit, dan lain-lain. Dalam sebuah perancangan terdapat beberapa metode yang biasa digunakan, salah satunya adalah metode VDI 2221. Metode VDI 2221 menggunakan pendekatan sistematik terhadap desain untuk sistem teknik dan produk teknik. Metode VDI 2221 ini mempermudah perancang untuk membuat suatu produk sehingga perancangan produk dapat tercapai. Oleh karena itu penulis mempunyai rancangan untuk membuat alat resin transfer moulding (RTM) sebagai mesin pencetak spesimen komposit serat alam dengan sistem injeksi menggunakan metode VDI 2221 di harapkan dengan teknologi sistem injeksi bahan komposit yang dihasilkan memiliki kualitas yang baik. Hasil perancangan mesin pencetak spesimen komposit berpenguat serat alam ini berdimensi panjang 110 cm, lebar 35 cm dan tinggi 60 cm

Abstract

The process of cooling and freezing carried out on fish products is one of the preservation methods that apply a cooling machine in its operation. The refrigeration machine used applies a steam compression refrigeration system with R404A refrigerant as its working fluid. A design that is not following the standards can result in significant losses both in material and economic terms. Besides, the wrong model can also cause the performance of the engine to cool down. The purpose of this study is to design and analyze the performance of cold storage for freezing fish using Coolselector®2 software version 3.6.1. Performance analysis is based on superheating and subcooling temperature variations to determine its effect on the performance of the cooling engine. Changes for superheat temperatures carried out at the 8K, 9K, 10K, 11K and 12K levels while the subcooling temperature is considered constant at the 3K level. Variations were made at subcooling temperatures at the 3K, 4K, 5K, 6K and 7K levels with superheat temperatures considered consistent at the 5K level. The result of cold storage room design shows that the room has a cooling capacity of 14.54 kW. Analysis of the performance of the engine coolant design shows that the refrigeration machine has excellent performance. It will be proved by the higher subcooling and superheat temperatures, the COP also increase. The most top COP is at the 12K superheat temperature level of 2.045, while for the subcooling temperature at the 7K level of 3.144

Abstract

HIX symbolize human work from beginning to end. "X" is a variable for: design, manufacturing, test, and so on. “HI” symbolizes human integrated. Human Integrated System (HID) is a system designed with the capabilities and limitations possessed by humans so that the results of the design can increase effectiveness. Occupational diseases are caused by work and work attitudes. One of the occupational diseases of the spine is lower back pain, which arises due to a static position at work and is continuous. Every year 15%-45% of adults suffer from low back pain and generally occurs at the age of 35-55 years. The application of ergonomics is a design activity or redesign that is adapted to technological advances as well as anatomy, psychology, industrial medicine. The sitting position during the process of carrying out weaving activities which lasts a long time with a time of 8 hours per day, causes the sitting position to become less comfortable and results in complaints of pain in the back or spine. The ultimate goal of this study is to implement the concept of ergonomics in the use of traditional looms so as to reduce complaints of pain or spinal pain from weavers

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi para petani adalah pada pemecah cangkang kemiri yang dibuat sebelumnya masih memiliki kekurangan yaitu dari segi produksi, Proses pemecahan biji kemiri biasanya dilakukan oleh masyarakat secara konvensional yaitu menggunakan palu karet, dari prinsip kerjanya secara manual tentu cara ini tidak terlalu efektif dari sisi tenaga dan waktu. Oleh karena itu sudah dirancang mesin pemecah cangkang kemiri secara mekanik, agar proses produksi bisa berlangsung dengan produksinya yang lebih besar. Hal ini perlu di modifikasi dinding bentur dan perlakuan awal pada alat pemecah kemiri sehingga memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik yaitu isi kemiri utuh diharapkan lebih banyak dari isi kemiri yang hancur.

Abstract

A pellet printing machine is a device specifically designed to produce pig feed using a 1 HP motor with a rotation speed of 1400 RPM. This machine is designed in a vertical form with an internal pressing screw, called a roller. The pressing screw will press the organic mixture towards the perforated printing screen with a hole size of 5 mm to form pellets. This research aims to design a pig feed machine and test its operation over a specific period. The testing of this machine involves collecting experimental data through three repetitions with a mixture weight of 5 kg, consisting of 1 kg of fish meal, 2 kg of organic waste, and 1 kg of rice bran. The collected data includes the capacity of the printed feed over a specific period and the percentage of unprinted material. The results show that the machine can produce pellets with an average effective capacity of 3733.33 g/second and an average yield of 3.33% unprinted material. The production rate achieved is 8.373 kg/hour.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, siklus Rankine organik telah menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif pembangkit listrik ramah lingkungan karena dapat menggunakan sumber kalor bertemperatur rendah atau sumber kalor berdaya rendah. Namun, penggunaan fluida kerja organik yang lebih ramah lingkungan sebagai pengganti R245FA telah menjadi tuntutan pada masa yang akan datang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh temperatur evaporasi terhadap kinerja energi siklus Rankine organik standar dengan fluida kerja R245FA, R515A, dan R1233ZD. Kinerja termodinamika didasarkan pada variasi temperatur evaporator menggunakan perangkat lunak Genetron Properties. Besaran-besaran penting yang dianalisis adalah laju aliran massa, daya pemompaan, penyerapan kalor, pelepasan kalor, rasio tekanan turbin, dan efisiensi termal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan temperatur evaporasi sangat berdampak pada peningkatan konsumsi daya pemompaan, rasio tekanan di turbin, dan efisiensi termal sistem. Namun, dibutuhkan daya pemompaan yang lebih besar untuk mensirkulasikan R515A dibandingkan dengan mensirkulasikan R245FA dan R1233ZD. Sistem ORC yang menggunakan R1233ZD memiliki efisiensi termal tertinggi dibandingkan R245FA dan R515A sehingga pada masa yang akan datang fluida kerja tersebut sangat cocok untuk menggantikan R245FA.

produce quality poultry chicks. However, the natural egg-hatching process is often less efficient and susceptible to fluctuations in environmental temperature. Therefore, to increase the efficiency and results of egg hatching, this research aims to design and test an automatic chicken egg incubator that uses solar energy. This tool is designed to consider factors such as temperature, humidity, and air circulation required for optimal egg hatching. Testing was carried out for 21 days, by monitoring environmental temperature, humidity, and temperature distribution in the egg hatching room. The test results showed that the tool was able to reach the desired temperature for hatching eggs and succeeded in hatching several eggs well, while some other eggs experienced defects or died during the hatching process. In addition, power and energy consumption analysis shows that the device has quite good efficiency in using energy, with low energy consumption to maintain the room temperature within the desired range. The solar-powered automatic egg incubator has the potential to increase the efficiency and yield of egg hatching in the livestock industry and can be an environmentally friendly alternative by utilizing solar energy which is available freely and sustainably

Abstract

Abstrak Kain tenun ikat adalahkain yang dibuat dengan cara memasukan benang pakan secara horizontal pada benang-benanglungsin yang bias anya telah diwarnai dan diikat terlebih dahulu. Kain tenun ikat termasuk kekayaan NTT yang teknik pembuatannya telah diwariskan turun – temurun . Jika dulu Tenun Ikat NTT hanya digunakan untuk acara adat dengan cara dililitkan kepinggang, kini Tenun Ikat NTT sudah dibuat menjadi berbagai macam produk. Kelompok PKK Desa Ledeke terdiri dari ibu – ibu rumah tangga yang setiap harinya hanya mengurus rumah tangga. Dari hasil wawancara serta pengamatan, kelompok ibu – ibu rumah tangga PKK Desa Ledeke berkeinginan untuk memiliki mata pencaharian untuk mendapat tambahan penghasilan sehingga bias membantu suami dalam mencukupi kebutuhan rumah tangga dan   setidaknya mempunyai kegiatan   yang   positif tetapi menguntungkan. Sebagai bentuk jawaban dari permasalahan tersebut, tim pelaksana melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu memberi pelatihan kepada ibu – ibu PKK Desa Ledeke untuk membuat aksesoris dari kain tenun yang akan menjadi peluang kerja baru  dan bisa membuka lapangan usaha bagi ibu – ibu yang belum mempunyai pekerjaan. Kegiatan PKM berlangsung di Kantor Desa Ledeke pada tanggal 3 September 2024, diikuti oleh 40 orang peserta yang terdiri dari ibu – ibu kelompok PKK, aparat desa dan mahasiswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini ibu – ibu kelompok PKK Desa Ledeke dapat membuat aksesoris dari kain tenun berupa anting – anting, kalung, bandana dan jepit rambut. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan; kain tenun ikat; aksesoris tenun Abstract Ikat woven fabric is a fabric made by inserting weft threads horizontally into the warp threads which are usually dyed and tied first. Ikat woven fabric is one of NTT's treasures whose manufacturing techniques have been passed down from generation to generation. In the past, NTT Ikat Weaving was only used for traditional events by wrapping it around the waist, now NTT Ikat Weaving has been made into various kinds of products. The Ledeke Village PKK group consists of housewives who only take care of the household every day. From the results of interviews and observations, the group of PKK housewives in Ledeke Village want to have a livelihood to earn additional income so that they can help their husbands in meeting household needs and at least have positive but profitable activities. As a form of answer to this problem, the implementation team carried out community service activities, namely providing training to the PKK women of Ledeke Village to make accessories from woven cloth which will be a new job opportunity and can open up business opportunities for mothers who do not yet have jobs. The PKM activity took place at the Ledeke Village Office on September 3 2024, attended by 40 participants consisting of women from the PKK group, village officials and students. As a result of this activity, women from the Ledeke Village PKK group were able to make accessories from woven cloth in the form of earrings, necklaces, bandanas and hair clips. Keywords: empowerment; woven fabrics; woven accessories

Abstract

Abstrak Pemeliharaan ternak babi oleh sebagian masyarakat Kota Kupang adalah kegiatan usaha petemakan yang merupakan bentuk kegiatan komplementer dalam rumah tangga. Banyak warga yang memilih memelihara ternak, khususnya ternak babi ditengah pemukiman masyarakat, yang membuat warga sekitar mengeluh soal bau kotoran ternak. Kotoran ternak babi yang tidak ditangani merupakan masalah yang mengganggu  masyarakat karena pencemaran lingkungan yang ditimbulkannya. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, kotoran ternak babi yang ada bisa diolah dalam sebuah unit digester untuk menghasilkan biogas. Selain itu, kotoran ternak babi yang telah diolah tidak akan menimbulkan bau yang mengganggu, dan menjadi pupuk dengan kualitas tinggi. Program pengabdian kali ini diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi mitra yaitu penanganan kotoran ternak babi. Disisi lain dengan membuat biogas dari kotoran ternak, juga dapat membantu perekonomian masyarakat. Gas yang dihasilkan dapat dijadikan bahan bakar pengganti minyak tanah maupun gas elpiji yang semakin langka dan mahal di pasaran, sehingga masyarakat akan lebih berhemat. Kata kunci: kotoran ternak; biogas; energialternatif. Abstract The rearing of pigs by some residents of Kupang City is a livestock business activity which is a form of complementary activity in the household. Many residents choose to keep livestock, especially pigs in the middle of residential areas, which causes local residents to complain about the smell of livestock manure. Untreated pig waste is a problem that disrupts people's lives because of the environmental pollution. The solution of this problem, existing pig manure can be processed in a digester unit to produce biogas. Apart from that, processed pig manure will not cause odorspolution and becomes high quality fertilizer. This service program is expected to be able to solve the problems faced by partners, namely handling pig manure. On the other hand, making biogas from livestock manure can also help the community's economy. The gas produced can be used as fuel to replace kerosene or LPG gas which are increasingly rare and expensive on the market, so that people will save more. Keywords: animal manure; biogas; alternative energy.
