Abstract

The transformation of the language environment (bi'ah lughawiyyah) in Islamic boarding schools is frequently hampered by weak managerial intervention, relying exclusively on classroom teaching methods. This study aims to analyze the role of academic leadership in transforming organizational culture to build a sustainable bi'ah lughawiyyah ecosystem at Universitas Islam Internasional Darullughah Wadda'wah. This qualitative case study collected field data through observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and documentation studies. The results reveal that leaders successfully engineered the culture of the language ecosystem through four main strategies: internalizing the integrated educational vision (Hadhari), formalizing instructional policies through a tiered disciplinary structure, integrating physical and symbolic environmental engineering (applying lauhatul ism and jasus instruments), and demonstrating prophetic leadership role modeling. In conclusion, the robustness of the bi'ah lughawiyyah ecosystem is the result of organizational culture engineering structurally and spiritually orchestrated by top leadership, rather than mere pedagogical flexibility. This research contributes by providing a managerial governance model framework for other Islamic higher education institutions to maintain language traditions in the modern era.

Abstract

Human behavioral deviations stem from cognitive dysfunction that requires improvement through approaches such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on self-efficacy. This phenomenological qualitative study aims to fill the research gap by investigating the application of the pesantren-based guidance and counseling (BK) model at the Moderate Islamic Boarding School At -Thohiriyah Banten, where the results show that the integration of CBT techniques (such as cognitive restructuring) with Islamic values (such as muhasabah and tazkiyatun nafs) is supported by the communal pesantren environment and the charismatic figure of the Kyai. but faces obstacles such as counselor competency gaps, stigma towards mental health issues, and hierarchical culture. Therefore, it is concluded that the effectiveness of this model depends on strategic efforts such as counselor training and adaptation of techniques that respect the local wisdom of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of pesantren in responding to social change and the challenges of the digital era. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving institutional leaders and relevant stakeholders. The findings reveal that pesantren transformation extends beyond technological adaptation and involves broader institutional changes in educational orientation, leadership practices, entrepreneurial development, and social networking. Pesantren have increasingly adopted adaptive strategies through digital competency development, entrepreneurship programs, and institutional innovation while maintaining their religious values and identity. Leadership plays a crucial role in directing institutional change, particularly through adaptive and value-based approaches that support organizational development. Furthermore, alumni networks contribute significantly to institutional sustainability by strengthening social support and institutional legitimacy. Despite facing challenges such as technological disparities, infrastructure limitations, and human resource readiness, pesantren demonstrate considerable potential to remain relevant and sustainable in contemporary society. This study highlights that the transformation of pesantren is not merely a process of modernization but represents a strategic effort to balance religious traditions with evolving societal demands.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengelolaan kursus bahasa Arab berbasis kemitraan Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengelolaan kursus bahasa Arab berbasis kemitraan internasional antara Darullughah Wadda’wah, Indonesia, dan Maktab Mahmud Yan, Malaysia, serta merumuskan Model Manajemen Kursus Internasional. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Oktober hingga Desember 2022 dengan melibatkan 60 pelajar Tingkatan 4 berusia sekitar 16 tahun, terdiri atas 30 peserta laki-laki dan 30 peserta perempuan. Program menggunakan pendekatan service learning berbasis kemitraan melalui enam tahap, yaitu koordinasi dan analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, serta refleksi dan tindak lanjut. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara informal, angket tertutup, daftar hadir, dan catatan reflektif. Data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan data angket dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persentase respons positif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta berpartisipasi dalam program, dengan 59 peserta atau 98,33% mengikuti setiap sesi tanpa jeda. Seluruh responden juga memberikan respons positif terhadap materi, proses pembelajaran, pendampingan, kegiatan praktik, dan keberlanjutan program. Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang berlanjut hingga 2025 menunjukkan penerimaan institusional dan kesinambungan kemitraan. Artikel ini menghasilkan Model Manajemen Kursus Internasional yang menekankan pengelolaan kebutuhan, kerja sama kelembagaan, partisipasi peserta, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Entering the era of massive digital transformation, modern Islamic educational institutions are required to make radical innovations in governance and supervision systems to ensure the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the flow of implementation of the Madrasah Head Supervision model in Improving Teacher Professionalism through E-Performance in MIN 2 Pasuruan City. This research method uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documentation and analyzed with the concept of Miles Humberman. The results of the study show that the implementation of the madrasah head supervision model through E-Performance in MIN 2 Pasuruan City is carried out systematically through four main stages, namely planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and follow-up; E-Performance has a very strategic role in supporting the implementation of supervision of madrasah heads. Supporting factors for the implementation of E-Performance include the commitment of madrasah heads in implementing digital-based supervision, good digital competence of teachers, availability of information technology facilities and infrastructure, government policy support, and madrasah work culture that is adaptive to technological developments.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the quality of teacher performance as the main determinant in the success of the learning process at the elementary school level, especially at the UPT SD Negeri Gentong, Pasuruan City. The purpose of this research is to explore the application of coaching paradigm transformation through a coaching-based academic supervision model. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants were selected using the purposive sampling technique, consisting of the Head of the Gentong State Elementary School as a supervisor (coach) and six classroom and subject teachers as coaches. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interview techniques, participatory observation throughout the supervision cycle, and documentation studies of assessment instruments and follow-up plan files. The validity of the data was tested using source triangulation and triangulation techniques, while the data analysis applied the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results of the study show that the coaching-based supervision model at UPT SD Negeri Gentong, Pasuruan City is systematically implemented through three main stages: pre-observation, class observation, and post-observation reflection using a supportive conversation flow. This study concludes that coaching-based academic supervision is effective in boosting teacher professionalism and performance in an ongoing manner. The synergy between innovative leadership of school principals and humanist-religious communication patterns is the main key to creating a healthy learning culture in the school environment.
