Abstract

Coffee is one of the world's agricultural commodities that has been cultivated in more than 50 countries. Coffee is a drink made from brewed coffee beans that have been roasted and ground into powder. There are two varieties of coffee trees that are generally known, namely Robusta Coffee (Coffea canephora) and Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica). Coffee is a very famous commodity in Indonesia. In addition to having entered Indonesia since the Dutch colonial era, coffee is also famous for its taste and aroma. Coffee is a superior potential in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is in Village IV Suku Menanti, Sidang Dataran District, Rejang Lebong. However, the utilization of coffee agricultural products as a superior village commodity has not been optimally implemented. People only sell coffee beans through certain marketing channels. In fact, coffee can also be processed into a product, one of which is coffee aromatherapy candles. Candles are a source of light consisting of a wick covered with solid fuel that is flammable. Before the 19th century, the fuel used was usually beef fat (which contains a lot of stearic acid). Aromatherapy is a method of treatment using volatile plant aromas. Natural aromatherapy candles are certainly better than synthetic fragrances because they can interfere with the health of those who inhale them. Coffee aromatherapy candles are aromatherapy candles with natural fragrance ingredients, namely coffee. By utilizing agricultural products, farmers can empower existing resources as an effort to increase body immunity through coffee aromatherapy candles and can improve the economy of the IV Suku Menanti Village community.

Abstract

The training on the use of the Mendeley application was carried out as an effort to improve students’ skills in academic writing. Many students still performed citation and bibliography preparation manually, which often led to errors and inconsistencies. This community service activity applied a participatory training method based on hands-on practice, consisting of interactive lectures, technical demonstrations, and independent practice with guidance. The participants were 14 final-year students who were taking the Research Methodology course or writing their undergraduate thesis. The evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in students’ skills, where the average mastery, initially below 25%, increased to more than 80% after the training. In addition, the writing practice results showed that students were able to use Mendeley to import references, generate automatic citations, and create bibliographies. Therefore, this training proved effective in enhancing students’ digital literacy, supporting academic integrity, and can be replicated in other universities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of purchasing intentions for environmentally friendly household products in Indonesia using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was applied to 350 respondents in three major cities Jakarta, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta who had purchased green products in the past year. The variables tested included environmental awareness, perceived quality, perceived price, and social influence. Regression analysis results showed that all variables had a significant effect on purchase intention, with an R² value of 0.63 and F = 34.21 (p < 0.01). Environmental awareness was the most dominant factor (β = 0.42), followed by quality perception (β = 0.31) and social influence (β = 0.28), while price had a negative effect (β = -0.25). These results confirm that the intention to purchase green products is driven more by psychological factors and social norms than by economic considerations. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of ecological education, product innovation, and fair pricing policies to strengthen the transition to sustainable consumption in Indonesia.
