Abstract

This study focuses specifically on household needs because electricity is an inseparable part of daily needs. The problems identified are how the protection system uses the earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) model for residential installations and how to apply it in residential homes quickly and straightforwardly. In the current protection system, the built system must work in the range of < 30 mA according to the general requirements of electrical installations (in Indonesian abbreviated: PUIL) when the muscles cannot release the conductor or are dangerous. The test results of ELCB enhancements can be applied in residential homes and thus can be helpful for the community in avoiding short circuits and fires. The conclusion is that the resistance measurement for the 21 participants went well, and the average resistance value was 3665 kΩ. Thus the tool on the simulator works according to the operation according to PUIL. Abstrak— Kajian ini lebih memfokuskan secara khusus untuk kepentingan rumah tangga, karena listrik menjadi hal yang tak terpisahkan dalam kebutuhan sehari-hari. Masalah yang dapat diidentifikasi adalah bagaimana sistem proteksi menggunakan model earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB), untuk instalasi rumah tinggal, dan bagaimana cara penerapannya di rumah tinggal secara mudah dan sederhana. Pada sistem proteksi arus sistem yang dibangun harus bekerja pada rentang < 30 mA menurut persyaratan umum instalasi listrik (PUIL), merupakan  saat dimana  otot tidak sanggup  melepaskan penghantar atau berbahaya. Hasil pengujian piranti tambahan ELCB dapat diterapkan di rumah tinggal dan dengan demikian dapat berguna bagi masyarakat dalam menghindari hubung singkat dan kebakaran. Kesimpulan pengukuran tahanan untuk para partisipan berjumlah 21 orang berjalan dengan baik dan diperoleh nilai tahanan rata-rata 3665 kΩ.  Dengan demikian alat pada simulator bekerja sesuai dengan operasi menurut PUIL.

Abstract

Abstract— The need for electrical energy and electrical installations is a system of electrical equipment in buildings related to each other. For the need for electrical energy and electrical installations to be carried out properly, it must meet the requirements stated in the General Electrical Installation Requirements (PUIL). One of the goals of an electrical installation system in a building is to control so that a building can function as expected. The electrical power needed and the safety and conductors are used so that the electrical installation system is safe and reliable when the building is operating. Referring to the description, the author is interested in understanding and researching further about the conductors and safety installed in the Unima workshop building. The authors obtain research data by conducting case studies where a set of data is collected, processed, compared, and analyzed. The results showed that the Unima workshop electrical resources were 27.630 W. Abstrak— Kebutuhan energi listrik dan instalasi listrik adalah sistem perlengkapan listrik pada bangunan yang berkaitan satu sama lain. Agar kebutuhan energi listrik dan instalasi listrik terselenggara dengan baik maka harus memenuhi syarat yang telah tertuang pada Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL). Salah satu tujuan dari adanya sistem instalasi listrik pada sebuah bangunan adalah mengontrol agar sebuah bangunan dapat berfungsi sebagaimana yang diharapkan. Baik daya listrik yang dibutuhkan maupun pengaman dan penghantar yang dipakai, agar pada saat bangunan tersebut beroperasi, maka sistem instalasi listriknya aman dan handal. Mengacu dari uraian tersebut, penulis tertarik untuk memahami dan meneliti lebih jauh mengenai penghantar dan pengaman yang terpasang pada bangunan bengkel Unima. Dalam melakukan evaluasi penulis memperoleh data penelitian dengan cara melakukan studi kasus dimana sekumpulan data dikumpulkan, diolah, dibandingkan, dan dianalisa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sumber daya listrik bengkel Unima sebesar 27,630 W.

Abstract

This study aimed to design a grounding system in the Computer Center Building and analyze the feasibility of the building in the use of a lightning rod system. This research was conducted at the Manado State University Computer Center Building by conducting a case study where data would be collected, processed, and analyzed. The results showed that the ground resistance on the panel was 4.71 Ohm, and the ground resistance of the lightning rod was 3.10 Ohm. After redesigning using six electrodes, both for grounding the lightning rod and equipment, the value is 2.97 Ohms. The results of the analysis of how important the use of lightning rods in the Computer Center Building is, a score of 14 is obtained. These results conclude that a lightning rod system is needed in the Computer Center Building. Abstrak— Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sistem pentanahan di Gedung Pusat Komputer serta menganalisis kelayakan gedung dalam penggunaan sistem penangkal petir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Gedung Pusat Komputer Universitas Negeri Manado dengan melakukan studi kasus dimana data akan dikumpulkan, diolah, dan dianalisa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tahanan tanah pada panel sebesar 4,71 Ohm, tahanan tanah pada penangkal petir sebesar 3,10 Ohm. Setelah dilakukan perancangan kembali dengan menggunakan 6 batang elektroda, baik untuk pentanahan penangkal petir dan peralatan didapatkan nilai 2,97 Ohm. Hasil analisis mengenai seberapa pentingnya penggunaan penangkal petir di Gedung Pusat Komputer didapatkan nilai 14. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa sangat diperlukan sistem penangkal petir di Gedung Pusat Komputer.

Abstract

The economic development of the community affects the widespread use of household electricity. Of course, the development of technology touches every aspect of the activity, whether for entertainment, pleasure or primary needs. Every dry season, the threat of fire is often a scourge for all of us. One of the leading causes is a short circuit of electric current. Electricity is an essential part of this day and age. Everyone needs electricity, whether it is from the lower levels of society to the upper levels of society, both for household, office and industrial purposes. Specifically for household purposes, electricity has become an inseparable part of daily needs. A pandemic has resulted in more extended and varied use of electricity in the home. Another consequence is that it is more prone to short circuits or even fires. The critical criteria that must be met at home are the proper installation of security fuses, the avoidance of sockets with multiple connections, and other items that must guarantee adequate grounding or fulfil the requirements with installations that meet the General Electrical Installation Requirements (in Bahasa Indonesia is abbreviated as PUIL). Problems that can be identified are: What is the average resistance of the student body to AC voltage? Are there any differences in male and female body resistance? The benefits of this research are: Theoretical benefits assessing the average resistance of the human body for planning protection system equipment. Practical benefits it is known as the average student body resistance value. Become a reference in determining the value of a protection system plan. The average measurement results in the range of 5100 Ohm. The results showed a significant difference between the levels of body resistance of male and female students. This is because the number of female students in this study is much smaller than that of male students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design electrical lighting installations in the Unima library building that meet PUIL 2011 standards. The data analysis technique used is inductive data analysis. Inductive data analysis encourages researchers to solve certain cases by testing a theory. The lighting installation design for the Manado State University Library building uses a formula to find the number of light points needed in lux units based on needs, assuming the recommended lamp is 150 watts. In book room 1, after rounding, the lights needed in book room 1 are 13. In book room 2, after rounding, the lights needed in book room 2 are 23. In book room 3, after rounding, the lights needed in book room 3 are 26 lights. In reading room 1, after rounding up, the lights needed in reading room 1 are 12. In reading room 2, after rounding up, the lights needed in reading room 2 are 13. In the administration room, after rounding, the lights needed in the administration room are 4 lights. They are recommended in the admin room, using 100 watts. For direct lighting systems with bright-coloured ceilings and walls, the coefficient value is 50%–65%.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process by applying the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model to improve Basic Electrical learning outcomes for Class X TITL students at SMK Negeri 2 Bitung, carried out in March 2021. Techniques and data collection tools in this research used descriptive statistical analysis of the data in student test results from documents and a list of scores. This study uses two stages of the cycle where the first cycle consists of IV meetings and the second cycle consists of IV meetings. Cycle I students achieve 55% incomplete and 45% complete learning outcomes. Cycle II students achieve 0% incomplete and 100% complete learning outcomes. The increase in learning outcomes was seen in the second cycle, namely the results of student learning achievement of 100% complete from the number of 20 students. Thus, learning using the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class X TITL students at SMK Negeri 2 Bitung.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of electrical energy efficiency at the PT BRI Tondano branch, evaluate the effectiveness of implemented energy conservation strategies, and formulate recommendations for improving them. The analysis was conducted by collecting electric power consumption data for one year, from May 2023 to April 2024. The total electric power consumption from floors 1 to 2 from May 2023 to April 2024 was 124,095 kWh per year. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tondano Branch's electrical energy consumption amounted to 124,095 kWh, as calculated in accordance with IKE standards, including efficient electrical energy use, as the electronic goods used are energy efficient, such as LEDs. Measurements of electrical energy use in the lighting system amounted to 24.43 kWh, air conditioning use amounted to 424.4 kWh, and other electronic goods use amounted to 62.3 kWh. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat efisiensi energi listrik di PT BRI Cabang Tondano, mengevaluasi strategi konservasi energi yang telah diterapkan dan merumuskan rekomendasi strategi konservasi energi yang lebih efektif. Analisis yang dilakukan yaitu dengan mengambil data konsumsi daya listrik selama 1 tahun yaitu pada bulan Mei tahun 2023 sampai dengan bulan April tahun 2024. Dari data yang didapatkan total konsumsi pada daya listrik 53 kVa dari bulan mei 2023 sampai april 2024 dari lantai 1 sampai 2 sebesar 124.095 kWh per tahun. Konsumsi energi listrik di PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Cabang Tondano sebesar 124,095 kWh dari hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan sesuai dengan standar pemakaian Nilai IKE termasuk pemakaian cukup efisien dalam penggunaan energi listriknya, Oleh karena jenis barang elektronik yang dipakai adalah barang barang yang hemat energi seperti LED. Pengukuran dari pemakain energi Listrik pada sistem penerangan sebesar 24,43 kWh untuk Tata Udara sebesar 424,4 kWh dan untuk pemakain barang elektronik lainnya sebesar 62,3 kWh.

Abstract

There is still a lack of public understanding regarding how to use electrical equipment at home and also ignorance about the dangers of electricity caused by the way it is used or indifference to maintaining and caring for electrical equipment in accordance with general regulations and operational standards for occupational safety and health. If left unchecked, it will of course cause an electric shock and can trigger a house fire due to electrical equipment and power sources. The aim of community service is to provide knowledge to the public regarding awareness in using electrical equipment at home and also the correct use of electricity sources to avoid electric shocks or damage to electrical equipment. This activity took place in Taratara Dua Village, Tomohon where the object of service was housewives, and farming and gardening activists with a total of 20 participants. The method used for this service is in the form of lectures supported by teaching aids in the form of work simulations in accordance with occupational safety and health and general electrical installation regulations regarding electricity, and questions and answers to the public. The results obtained by community service were 90.8% of the community understanding awareness of the ethics of using electrical equipment at home according to occupational safety and health and understanding the potential electrical dangers that occur at home. Thus, it turns out that after conducting community outreach about the dangers of electricity and the ethics of using electricity, it has been proven to have a positive impact on residents' knowledge of ethical awareness of using electrical equipment and understanding of electric shocks in accordance with operational standards, occupational health safety and general electrical installation regulations in using electrical equipment at home References Adhiem, M. Abstract

Pada penelitian ini diketahui bahwa selama proses pembelajaran Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika secara umum masih berpusat pada guru, siswa kurang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas dan juga hasil belajar siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan suatu model pembelajaran untuk mendampingi pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar dasar listrik dan elektronika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics and Discovery pada siswa kelas X kelistrikan di SMK Kristen Elfatah Manado. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasy Experimental Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada kelas eksperimen X Listrik A dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Matematika Realistik dan kelas kontrol X Listrik B dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes objektif, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan uji t diperoleh bahwa siswa yang diberi perlakuan pembelajaran Matematika Realistik mempunyai hasil belajar yang lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang diberi perlakuan pembelajaran menggunakan model penemuan.

Abstract

The development of Tomohon City as a tourism hub in North Sulawesi has accelerated significantly, triggering a surge in economic activities and consequently increasing the demand for electrical energy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between economic growth and electricity consumption in Tomohon City, identifying the implications for energy infrastructure planning. A descriptive survey method was employed, using secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and PT PLN. Data on electricity supply and economic indicators such as Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) were presented in tables, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate growth patterns from 2010 to 2021. Findings reveal that both electricity consumption and installed capacity have increased steadily, with electricity sales rising from 38.4 GWh in 2014 to 48.3 GWh in 2020 and customer numbers increasing from 24,575 to 29,770 over five years. Economic indicators such as GRDP also showed consistent growth, particularly in the tourism, trade, and accommodation sectors. The average annual growth in electricity production was 4.68%, highlighting the need for proactive energy planning. The study concludes that the economic development of Tomohon City is positively correlated with rising electricity demands. It recommends that stakeholders, including PT PLN and local government bodies, develop anticipatory infrastructure strategies to ensure sustainable energy supply, particularly as tourism continues to expand. This research provides critical insight into aligning energy provision with regional economic development priorities.
