Abstract

Media is providing information by adding text or repeating visual presentations to engage the audience. The use of images in visual media helps differentiate two different concepts. One of the projects being worked on is the Visual Video Media project for Instagram Reels. By knowing Instagram, the aim is to find out how the system is implemented. This research method uses the data collection stage through research on social media and the latest news, the design stage starting from Pre-Production, Production, to Post-Production. There are several choices of visual concepts that will influence a visual that will be uploaded to Instagram Reels, namely, typography/typeface, paper visual effects which are characteristic of Better Youth, and even size format rules for Instagram Reels itself. The narrative news design process consists of receiving a brief in the form of a Content Planner, analyzing the brief, searching for data and visual assets, and creating a concept. Then design the oral news into a Visual Narrative News and process it using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator. The final process, narrative news is created in the form of Instagram Reels.

Abstract

Surabaya as one of the largest metropolitan cities in Indonesia, which often faces various complex social and economic challenges. One of them is the increasing number of suicide cases, which is a serious concern for local governments, communities, and mental health organizations. Suicide itself is an act of someone who deliberately ends their life. In the book Hygiene Mental released by Kartini Kartono, it is explained that suicide is one way to escape from the real world. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Qualitative research is research that examines the perspectives of participants with interactive and flexible strategies. The planning of this Self Reward educational campaign uses quantitative and qualitative methods. This second option was chosen because the design requires relevant data. To obtain more in-depth information about the phenomena found, data from the questionnaire alone is not enough, the quantitative method uses a questionnaire as a data collection technique, while the qualitative method uses observation and interviews. The design of this educational campaign uses an attractive and educational visual concept with a minimalist style, pastel colors, and illustrations that suit the character of Muslim women aged 19-24 years. The campaign targets active audiences on social media and Islamic self-development, through online media (Instagram) and offline (studies, workshops) to expand the reach of the message. The design of this educational campaign aims to increase awareness of Muslim women aged 19–24 years about the importance of self-reward as a form of positive, meaningful self-esteem, and in line with Islamic values. This campaign uses attractive visual and digital media to change negative views about self-reward, and encourage Muslim women to value themselves more in order to maintain their mental and emotional health.

Abstract

Rural communities are synonymous with the lack of welfare and are still lagging behind, so there is a need for community empowerment. Dilain side, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is an international agenda in which Indonesia participates. Referring to the agenda, Bukalapak as one of the companies in Indonesia also made it happen through the advertisement series "Coming with the Times". This study is a qualitative descriptive study aimed at reviewing advertisements and their meaning in detail. As for the theory used is the semiotics of Roland Barthes, which not only unravels denotative and conotative meanings, but myths. Through his theory, this study aims to uncover how a company participates in the achievement of SDGs through the economic welfare of rural communities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghadirkan identitas visual yang kuat, representatif, serta memiliki nilai estetika yang sejalan dengan karakter musik heavy metal yang diusung band Komunal. Proyek ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan band untuk memperkuat citra visual melalui produk merchandise yang bukan hanya berfungsi komersial, tetapi juga menjadi medium ekspresi dan kedekatan emosional dengan penggemar. Metode perancangan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 198 responden, dengan tambahan studi eksisting pada produk sejenis seperti Lawless Burgerbar x Komunal Boxset dan Black Sabbath Hand of Doom Boxset. Hasil perancangan menghasilkan desain boxset yang menggabungkan elemen ilustratif, tipografi dekoratif khas metal, dan palet warna gelap yang merepresentasikan kekuatan, agresivitas, dan karakter khas Komunal. Proses perancangan ini membuktikan bahwa pengembangan ilustrasi identitas visual dapat menjadi strategi komunikasi visual efektif dalam memperkuat hubungan emosional antara band dan penggemar.

Abstract

Tari Orek-Orek is a traditional dance from Ngawi Regency that has long been a symbol of local cultural identity. Despite its rich history and cultural significance, the popularity of this dance has declined, especially among the younger generation. One of the factors contributing to this decline is the lack of effective promotion through modern media, particularly digital platforms. This study aims to design an informational media that can introduce Tari Orek-Orek to a wider audience, especially the younger generation, by utilizing technology and social media. A creative and interactive visual approach is employed through digital content, such as promotional videos, and the use of social media features like Instagram to reach a broader audience. It is hoped that this informational media design will help Tari Orek-Orek gain more recognition, appreciation, and preservation as part of Ngawi's cultural heritage. This research is expected to contribute to the preservation of traditional arts and the development of effective promotional media for local performing arts.

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) adalah dengan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat. Untuk menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat guna menjaga, memelihara dan meningkatkan kesehatan. Pengenalan PHBS kepada anak-anak sudah dilakukan sejak dini. Namun untuk penerapanya anak-anak perlu diedukasi lebih agar diplin melakukan kegiatan PHBS dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk mendukung edukasi tersebut maka dibutuhkan media pendukung yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak-anak. Dengan media pendukung yang tepat maka proses edukasi akan berjalan dengan baik, serta pesan akan tersampaikan. Media pendukung berupa buku cerita bergambar yang disusun dengan visual yang menarik sehingga dapat menarik perhatian dan menambah minat baca pada anak.

Abstract

Kebijakan tetap di rumah selama pandemi dilakukan untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19. Tetapi, berita detiknews.com pada tanggal 18 September 2020 mengenai sekumpulan remaja yang masih berkegiatan diluar rumah, menunjukkan remaja kurang mematuhi kebijakan tersebut. Penyebabnya adalah remaja merasa bosan dan kurang mengetahui tentang variasi kegiatan bermanfaat yang dapat dilakukan selama di rumah. Berdasarkan data inilah, dibutuhkan suatu media yang dapat memberi wawasan kepada remaja mengenai kegiatan bermanfaat dan mengasyikkan, yang dapat dilakukan selama di rumah. Perancangan ini terfokus untuk menciptakan sebuah media buku komik yang dapat memberi edukasi dan inspirasi bagi remaja untuk berkegiatan produktif selama di rumah saat pandemi. Terdapat 2 tahap dalam perancangan. Yaitu, tahap persiapan yang berisi pengumpulan data, analisa data, sintesis, dan penentuan data perancangan. Serta tahap penciptaan yang berisi pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Melalui komik, diharapkan target pembaca dapat menciptakan suatu trend positif yang membawa manfaat bagi diri sendiri ataupun orang lain di sekitar.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahan plastik dinilai cukup terjangkau dan ekonomis serta bahan plastik merupakan bahan yang tahan lama dan tidak berkarat sehingga dari sifat bahannya dan barangnya yang mudah untuk didapatkan dapat menekan anggaran produksi.Bisnis pengolahan limbah plastik merupakan bisnis yang memiliki potensi yang sangat tinggi di Indonesia dikarenakan penggunaan plastik tidak dapat lepas dari kehidupan sehari hari manusia, namun masih banyak sekali yang belum memahami peran branding dalam menunjang penjualan dan meningkatkan presepsi konsumen.Marwah Abadi Plastik Dalam Cakupan Business to Business” dengan tujuan penelitian yang berfokus merancang branding yang professional dan konsisten untuk memperkuat citra Perusahaan serta meningkatkan brand awareness dari CV. Marwah Abadi Plastik dalam bisnis pengolahan bisnis plastik yang difokuskan untuk sektor Business to Business (B2B). Wawancara dan observasi dilakukan untuk menggali nilai-nilai yang ada dalam Perusahaan seperti Sejarah, visi, misi serta proses kerja yang dilakukan oleh CV. Marwah Abadi Plastik belum memiliki identitas visual dan strategi komunikasi digital yang efektif selama 19 tahun beroprasi sehingga tingkat brand awareness berada pada kategori unaware of brand. Melalui perancangan branding ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing Perusahaan, memperluas jaringan bisnis diluar jawa timur mengkomunikasikan visi-misi dan memperkuat citra CV. Marwah Abadi Plastik sebagai Perusahaan yang profesional serta Amanah.

Abstract

Preschool children often display picky eating behavior due to their growth stage and independence in choosing food, which can lead to unbalanced nutrition. This research focuses on developing character designs for an educational board game that introduces various nutritious foods in an engaging way. Using a qualitative method, primary data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), interviews, and observation, while secondary data came from literature studies. The data were analyzed descriptively to identify behavioral and visual patterns suitable for early childhood audiences. The analysis produced the concept “Active and Independent Behavior” as the foundation for character design. The resulting visual outcomes include five characters: four main figures called Teman Sehat and one antagonist, Monster Manis si Tetangga Menyebalkan. Each character was designed in an anthropomorphic style using simple shapes and bright colors to emphasize friendliness and emotional connection. The findings are expected to inform future design practices for educational media that promote healthy eating habits through visual storytelling and interactive play.
