Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation strategies on employee well-being and its implications for employee commitment and performance within the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from employees in the manufacturing sector in West Java through a structured survey. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that fairly and sustainably managed compensation positively impacts employee well-being. Furthermore, employee well-being is proven to be a key mediating factor between compensation and organizational commitment. Strong commitment then has a significant impact on improved employee performance. These findings confirm that compensation strategies aligned with sustainability principles not only support organizational goals but also directly contribute to the achievement of SDG 3 (Healthy and Well-Being Lives), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality). This study provides theoretical and practical implications for the development of human resource management oriented towards building a sustainable work ecosystem.

Abstract

Work safety is a crucial aspect within a workplace environment. In Indonesia, the awareness and compliance of employees towards safety practices are often lacking, resulting in a higher incidence of accidents that pose threats to the workers' well-being. This safety behavior is influenced by factors such as Occupational Health and Safety (K3) training and leadership styles. The aim of this research is to examine the impact of K3 training and leadership on work safety behavior. The study was conducted among 51 employees at PT. Triguna Pratama Abadi, utilizing a multiple linear regression method. The findings of the research reveal that K3 training has a partial effect on work safety behavior, as does the leadership factor. Furthermore, both K3 training and leadership collectively contribute to work safety behavior..

Abstract

The second-hand product trade is rapidly growing in today’s global era, both in physical markets and digital platforms. Used goods serve as an alternative to meet primary and secondary needs, particularly among lower-middle-income communities, although they are also increasingly favored by higher income groups. This study aims to compare consumer purchase interest in second-hand goods between Indonesia and Japan. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was used, involving consumers from both countries. The findings show a high interest in used goods, with the number of buyers exceeding that of sellers. However, challenges such as inaccurate product information and quality mismatches persist in the buying process. Overall, purchase interest in Japan is higher than in Indonesia, supported by more advanced digital platforms. These findings indicate that second-hand products hold significant market potential in both developing and developed countries.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This research investigates how gotong royong culture contributes to team effectiveness by examining teamwork as a mediating process in community-based student teams. The study is framed by Social Capital Theory and uses a quantitative explanatory survey involving 91 KKN teams in the Purwasukasi area of Indonesia. The data were processed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including mediation analysis. The results show that gotong royong culture significantly improves teamwork (β = 0.52, p < 0.001) and has a smaller but significant direct effect on team effectiveness (β = 0.21, p < 0.05). Teamwork is the strongest predictor of team effectiveness (β = 0.62, p < 0.001). The model accounts for 26.5% of teamwork variance and 55.8% of team effectiveness variance (R² = 0.558), with an acceptable SRMR value of 0.059. The mediation test indicates partial mediation, with teamwork explaining 60.4% of the total effect. These findings suggest that gotong royong does not automatically generate effective teams. Its contribution becomes stronger when the value is expressed through practical teamwork behaviors, including coordination, communication, shared responsibility, and mutual assistance. The study extends Social Capital Theory by treating gotong royong as culturally embedded social capital and by identifying teamwork as the behavioral route through which this capital is converted into team effectiveness. Because the data were obtained from one key informant per team, the findings represent perceived team-level dynamics rather than aggregated member perceptions.
