Abstract

The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge about basic statistics and the application of statistical software package for classroom action research. Senior high school teachers from 4 schools participated in this workshop. They were provided with the basic knowledge of statistics, the use of statistics and research methodology for classroom action research and how to apply Minitab to help in data calculation and interpretation. During workshop, the participants were demonstrated the use of Minitab in the laboratory of Statistics and, Industrial Engineering Department, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.

Abstract

The objective of this community service activity is to celebrate national “95th youth pledge day” as well as to provide knowledge and basic skills for Generation Z about digital ability in this digital era. This activity was a collaboration between Industrial Engineering Department with Marketing Agencies of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. There were four speakers in this webinar who presented various topics related to the knowledge and skills needed in the digital era and how young Generation Z should adapt with the situation so that they could benefit and success in the future. After the presentation from the speakers were delivered, the participants could ask the questions regarding the topics. In this conference, more than 100 participants from various schools in Greater Jakarta and parents participated online via zoom. In addition, the event could also be watched via youtube channel.

Abstract

Logical abilities and creativity in calculations can be applied in economics where people organize and manage a business activity themselves and bear the risks of their business. He is responsible for his business, financial risks, material and human resources in his business. Technical economists usually act as owners or managers and also as operators of their business activities. Calculation in technical economics is a science that contains how to calculate, how to make considerations in solving a problem, including the feasibility of a business with existing alternatives based on economic factors and criteria. By studying this approach, it is hoped that someone can make the best decision from the many available alternatives. From the description of arithmetic it can be seen that calculations in technical economics involve very technical considerations. So technical economics involves technical analysis, with emphasis on economic aspects and has the aim of assisting decision making. Therefore, in making the decision to do so, a technical economist must be able to make the right decision. The right decision is not a decision without consideration. Of course, to make the right decision, basic considerations are needed. These basics are what are called alternatives in making decisions. This process of many alternatives can be tried to simulate through learning arithmetic calculations which can be done in various or many ways using the vertical metris method.

Abstract

Promotion through social media is very easy, fast and certainly not paid then many marketers take advantage of this opportunity to introduce new products. Social media that commonly used is Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and other social media. Online shop owners should be able to introduce new products in a way that is unique and different from others. The objectives in this study are to analyze the effect of promotion on the influence of buying interest, and purchasing decision of Pekopurin.id product through Instagram. This research used S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory. In this study, promotion is a stimulus of interesting photographs followed by buying interest as a response. This research uses quantitative method with explanative approach causality. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 145 respondents with simple random sampling technique. The conclusion from this research is the results show that promotion has an influence on purchasing decisions. This means there are other factors that can influence the purchase decision. So, it is necessary to do further research to complete the research that has been made. The advice from this research is Pekopurin.id is advised to post photos of the atmosphere during the event so that consumers can find out how the event situation ever followed by Pekopurin.id.

Abstract

In twenty-first centuries, the development of e-commerce and market competition is aggravating. Traditional marketing pattern in society is undergoing profound changes and C2C e-commerce has become one of the most important shopping ways in our daily life. But due to the particularity of online shopping environment and various existing problems, it become more difficult to build customer loyalty. In terms of increasing customer loyalty, C2C must be able to provide customer trust from good service quality with promotion as a support. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of service quality, promotion, and trust on customer loyalty from e-commerce customer. To clarify the relationship among these construct, SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) is conducted to examine the model fit and the five hypothesis. The result of this research shows that four of the five proposed hypotheses are accepted. Promotion has no significant influence on customer loyalty, but promotion will have a significant influence on customer loyalty through trust variable.

Abstract

The First-Person Shooter (FPS) game genre has gained significant popularity in the e-sports industry during 2022-2023. This study investigates the impact of physical environment and mouse settings on shooting accuracy in FPS gameplay. Participants were divided into beginner and advanced groups based on experience and playtime, or “flight hours.” Key variables include environmental factors—such as lighting and room temperature—and mouse settings, including mouse weight and DPI. Experiments were conducted using the AimLab application, with ANOVA and ANOM statistical tests used to determine optimal conditions. For advanced players, the ideal settings were identified as a room temperature of 16°C, no lighting, and a mouse weight of 100 grams. For beginners, the optimal condition was a room temperature of 16°C.

Abstract

Multinational companies face challenges in understanding and managing cultural differences. Cross-cultural communication becomes a crucial issue that affects organizational performance. This research aims to investigate the cross-cultural communication problems faced by multinational companies, focusing on identifying the factors influencing cross-cultural communication, their impact on company performance, and strategies that can be adopted to address these challenges. The research method used is a literature review involving critical analysis of journals and related research findings sourced from Google Scholar. Previous studies utilized should highlight various factors affecting cross-cultural communication, including language differences, cultural norms, stereotypes, and differences in non-verbal communication patterns. The research findings indicate that multinational companies need to adopt a holistic and proactive approach in managing cross-cultural communication, such as employee training to enhance cross-cultural awareness, strategic approaches in recruiting personnel with diverse cultural backgrounds, and the development of inclusive communication policies sensitive to cultural differences. Failure to manage cultural differences can lead to conflict, decreased productivity, and failure to achieve business goals. Academic suggestions include the need for further research to explore effective communication strategies in different cultural contexts. Additionally, longitudinal studies can help understand the dynamics of cross-cultural communication evolution in the long term. Practical suggestions include the need for management commitment to create an inclusive work environment that supports all team members, regardless of their cultural backgrounds. Companies should also integrate cross-cultural communication training into their employee development programs to enhance communication effectiveness in an increasingly complex global context.

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja yang terjadi akan mengakibatkan kerugian bagi perusahaan maupun bagi pekerja yang mengalami kecelakaan kerja, seperti kehilangan anggota tubuh, atau bahkan kematian. Penerapan kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja harus diterapkan pada setiap sektor pekerjaan proyek, karena pekerjaan proyek potensi memiliki risiko bahaya yang menyebabkan cidera bagi para pekerjanya ataupun kerusakan pada material yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi kecelakaan kerja pada pekerjaan plumbing di PT. ABC dengan menerapkan metode Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) dan Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Metode JSA digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi bahaya, sedangkan HAZOP digunakan untuk menilai tingkat risiko melalui parameter likelihood dan consequences. HAZOP dan JSA dipilih karena merupakan pendekatan komprehensif dalam pengendalian risiko kecelakaan, baik dari sisi teknis (proses) maupun operasional (manusia). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tiga kategori risiko, yaitu risiko ekstrim (15%), risiko tinggi (60%), dan risiko sedang (25%). Setelah penerapan upaya pengendalian, tingkat risiko dapat diminimalkan secara signifikan. Risiko ekstrim dan risiko tinggi mengalami penurunan bahkan sampai nol. Hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan standar keselamatan kerja, penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) seperti seperti masker, sarung tangan, safety shoes dan pelindung mata sangat dianjurkan. Selain itu, pelatihan keselamatan, serta pengawasan ketat dalam upaya mencapai zero accident di proyek konstruksi juga sangat diperlukan.

Abstract

Using technology in quantitative research is increasingly important to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data collection. This community service activity aims to socialize the use of questionnaire applications based on the Data Weigher Analysis (DWA) and Likert methods that can be used in quantitative survey research. Socialization is carried out to researchers, academics, and students involved in survey-based research to facilitate understanding and skills in designing, distributing, and analyzing questionnaires digitally. Through this activity, participants are given direct training on using the application, the advantages of the DWAand Likert methods in measuring quantity values into quality, and efficient and accurate data processing. The evaluation results showed that participants had increased understanding and skills in utilizing the questionnaire application, which is expected to support more effective quantitative research in the future. Thus, this activity contributes to increasing researchers' capacity to conduct modern and technologybased quantitative surveys.

Abstract

In the current competitive environment, every company is required to have a strong supply chain network as part of the company's strategy to survive in the company environment. However, the establishment of a strong supply chain network is not a guarantee of risk free. Risk is the impact of an event, an event occurs due to uncertainty that cannot be predicted by stakeholders. In this study aims to identify and map risk events and causes of risk, and provide proposed actions to minimize risk mitigation strategies with the House of Risk approach. The House of Risk approach is part of risk management in the supply chain where this method is able to identify and map risks and events of risk, and provide proposed mitigation strategies. The results of this study obtained 10 risk events and 17 risk causes with the proposed mitigation actions 7 actions.
