Abstract

Silika memiliki luas permukaan spesifik tinggi dan gugus hidroksil yang reaktif, menjadikan silika berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai pengemban kation yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pH pada sifat adsorpsi kation Ca(II) oleh silika termodifikasi sulfonat dan silika non modifikasi.Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah silika dan silika termodifikasi sulfonat. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah daya adsorpsi logam Ca(II) oleh silika termodifikasi sulfonat maupun silika non modifikasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui eksperimen adsorpsi, di mana 0,2 gram silika hasil sintesis dilarutkan dalam 20 mL larutan yang berisi Ca2+ 0,001 M, dan diaduk selama waktu kesetimbangan, yaitu 1 jam. pH suspensi divariasi dengan variasi pH yaitu 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, dan 10. Sampel yang telah diaduk kemudian di centrifuge, diambil sentrifugatnya dan diukur konsentrasi logam Ca(II) sisa dalam larutan dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS).Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sintesis silika termodifikasi sulfonat berhasil dilakukan dengan ciri-ciri, hilangnya gugus –SH pada panjang gelombang 2569,18 cm-1 dan naiknya intensitas pada daerah bilangan gelombang 3451,57 cm-1 yang meningkat dari 4,215 menjadi 20,380. Semakin tinggi pH semakin besar daya adsorpsi Ca2+ oleh silika maupun silika termodifiasi sulfonat. pH yang baik untuk adsorpsi Ca2+ oleh silika atau silika termodifikasi sulfonat terdapat pada pH 7. Pada pH 7, silika mampu menjerap Ca2+ sebanyak 71% dan silika termodifikasi sulfonat menjerap Ca2+ 82,6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kelayakan e-module pembelajaran IPA berbasis Letora Inspire sebagai bahan belajar mandiri, (2) tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa ketika menggunakan e-module sebagai bahan belajar mandiri, dan (3) penilaian siswa terhadap e-module pembelajaran IPA berbasis Lectora Inspire.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD) yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan 4-D dari Thiagarajan. Adapun tahapannya adalah define, design, develop, and disseminate. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu 3 orang ahli dan 24 siswa kelas VII-C SMP Negeri 1 Muntilan. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain angket penilaian kelayakan e-module IPA oleh validator, angket kemandirian belajar siswa, angket penilaian siswa, dan lembar observasi kemandirian belajar siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan antara lain rerata skor untuk menghitung skor rata-rata aktual, konversi nilai menjadi skala empat, dan menghitung persentase.Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) E-module IPA berbasis Lectora Inspire yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan belajar mandiri dengan kategori “sangat baik” berdasarkan penilaian oleh tiga orang ahli, (2) Kemandirian belajar siswa menggunakan e-module IPA berbasis Lectora Inspire mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20,11%, dan (3) E-module IPA berbasis Lectora Inspire memperoleh respon “sangat baik” berdasarkan penilaian siswa. Kata kunci: e-module,Lectora Inspire, belajar mandiri

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1)menghasilkan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Adobe flash CS5 yang layak berdasarkan penilaian validator, (2)mengetahui respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran IPA yang digunakan, (3)mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Adobe flash CS5 yang dikembangkan dan (4)mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Adobe flash CS5 yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (RD) yang mengadaptasi model penelitian Borg and Gall yang mencakup langkah research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, dan main product revision. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi kelayakan media pembelajaran IPA, angket respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran IPA oleh reviewer, lembar observasi motivasi belajar siswa, angket motivasi belajar siswa, serta lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1)media pembelajaran IPA dinyatakan layak oleh validator dengan kategori sangat baik (A), (2)media pembelajaran IPA mendapat respon dari siswa dengan kategori sangat baik (A), (3)terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa yang signifikan dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai signifikasi (Sig.)0,05 yaitu 0.000, dan (4)meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 20,41% dari kategori baik menjadi sangat baik.Kata kunci: Adobe flash CS5, media pembelajaran IPA, motivasi belajar siswaThe aims of this research are (1)to produce a feasible Adobe flash CS5-Based science-learning media, (2)to know the students’ responses toward the science-learning media being developed, (3)to know the difference of the implementation of the science-learning media being developed on the students’ learning motivation and (4)to know the result of the implementation of the science-learning media being developed on the students’ learning motivation. The type of the study used in this research is Research and Development (R D) by Borg and Gall which has 5 steps of development i.e. research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, and the main product revision. The instruments used in this research were validation forms of science-learning media, students’ questionnaire responses to the science-learning media, and learning motivation observation forms. Data analysis techniques that used in this research are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The result of this research reveals that the Adobe Flash CS5-Based science-learning media being developed is: (1)declared feasible by the validator with a ‘very good’ category (A), (2)getting positive responses from the students with a ‘very good’ category (A), (3)proven to be able to improve students’ learning motivation by the acquisition of signification value (Sig.) 0,05, i.e. 0.000 and (4)proven to be able to improve students’ learning motivation by by 20.41% from good category to very good.Keywords: Adobe flash CS5, science-learning media, students’ learning motivation

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD IPA dengan model Cooperative Learning tipe Group Investigation yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model 4D dari Thiagarajan, et.al yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIIC SMPN 1 Bantul. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk hasil validasi LKPD IPA dan gain score untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD IPA hasil pengembangan merupakan LKPD IPA terpadu yang menekankan pada model Cooperative Learning tipe Group Investigation dan menekankan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah. LKPD ini memperoleh nilai A dengan kategori sangat baik. LKPD ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dibuktikan dengan perolehan gain score dengan kategori peningkatan sedang.Kata kunci: LKPD IPA, model kooperatif tipe GI, kemampuan pemecahan masalahAbstractThe objectives of this research are to develop the Science student worksheet used Group Investigation of Cooperative Learning model which is valid to improve problem-solving skill. The development method used in this research is adapted from Thiagarajan, et.al is 4D model with these following steps; Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The respondents of this reasearch are students VII C class of SMPN 1 Bantul. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive analysis for worksheet validation result and gain score to know the degree of problem-solving skill of students. The result of this research shows that integrated science student worksheet used Group Investigation of Cooperative Learning model and emphasized the problem solving skills. The science student woksheet got A with very good category. This Science student worksheet can improve the problem solving skills proved by the achievement of gain score which improvement category is average.Keywords: Group Investigation, problem-solving skill, Science student worksheet

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of chemistry teachers for the development of integrated interactive e-modules on STSE (Science, Technology, Society, and Environment) regarding acid-base solutions for high school students, which are used as independent learning resources. This study applies a qualitative approach using an exploratory survey method. The research subjects consisted of seven chemistry teachers from three schools in the Yogyakarta area, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a semi-open questionnaire consisting of three main aspects, namely the implementation of chemistry learning, STSE integration, and responses and expectations regarding e-module development. Data analysis was performed applies content analysis techniques through interpretive coding. The results showed that most teachers considered acid-base solution material difficult for students to understand due to the abundance of theory and calculations, as well as the limited learning resources available in the form of textbooks and conventional resources from school facilities. The majority of teachers did not yet understand the STSE approach but showed high enthusiasm for the development of interactive e-modules that are interesting, easy to use, relate to science and technology, and are relevant to everyday life. Thus, the results of this needs analysis confirm that the development of STSE-based interactive e-modules is urgently needed to support more meaningful and contextual chemistry learning, as well as to foster student independence in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ sustainability consciousness based on its conceptual dimensions, determinant factors, and the relationships among knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, guided by the PRISMA framework to ensure a structured and transparent process of literature identification, screening, and synthesis. The literature search was conducted using the Scopus database with keywords such as “sustainability consciousness in higher education,” “students’ environmental awareness,” and “sustainability consciousness among university students.” The initial search yielded 249 records, of which 24 articles met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. The findings indicate that sustainability consciousness is a multidimensional construct consisting of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior that interact dynamically. The knowledge dimension is generally higher than the behavioral dimension, indicating a gap between students’ understanding and their actual practices. In addition, sustainability consciousness is influenced by internal factors such as environmental literacy and individual values, as well as external factors including education, curriculum, campus environment, and pedagogical approaches. The relationships among these dimensions are complex and non-linear, mediated by variables such as social norms and learning experiences. A key finding is the presence of a knowledge–action gap, demonstrating that increased knowledge does not necessarily lead to sustainable behavior. This study contributes by integrating the dimensions, determinants, and relationships of sustainability consciousness into a comprehensive analytical framework.

Abstract

The movement of educational systems on the 21st century need to be change from linearity to systemic form. The aims of this research is to determine the effect of Chemistry Systemic Learning Approach (CSLA) toward Students’ Analytical Thinking Skills (SATS). A pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test design was adopted in this research. The population of this study were all of the students of public senior high school in Kulon Progo regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Two classes from a public senior high school in those regency were cluster randomly selected as the research samples. A Systemic Test on Analytical Thinking (STAT) was used to collect the data of SATS, before and after the implementation of CSLA. The STAT covering four indicators of analytical thinking, they are differentiating, organizing, and attributing indicators. Meanwhile, the CSLA was integrated in the teaching-learning process and in the STAT, the CSLA was presented in the form of cyclic diagrams. The data of SATS on CSLA were analyse according to paired samples t-test and n-gain category analysis. The results of these analysis indicates that there was significant effect of CSLA on SATS. Moreover, the profile of SATS shows a satisfied improvement after the implementation of CSLA. Overall, a high n-gain category was reached that indicates the enhancement of students’ understanding of the inter-related concept in chemistry. This study gives a significant contribution on the use of CSLA to improve SATS. Hence, the used of CSLA should be emphasized on chemistry learning to promote students’ higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze chemical literacy and students’ conceptual understanding, as well as to identify effective learning strategies from a global perspective. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach on scientific articles indexed in Scopus within the period of 2015–2025. Based on the selection process, a total of 11 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using narrative synthesis and thematic analysis based on three main focuses: the development of chemical literacy, its relationship with conceptual understanding, and instructional approaches. The findings indicate that chemical literacy is a multidimensional construct encompassing knowledge, skills, attitudes, and the ability to apply concepts in real-life contexts, and it has evolved toward critical chemical literacy grounded in global issues. Furthermore, the results reveal that the level of students’ chemical literacy remains relatively low across various countries and is closely related to their conceptual understanding of chemistry. Various instructional approaches, such as context-based learning, socio-scientific issues (SSI), STEAM, argumentation, and technology integration, have been proven effective in enhancing both chemical literacy and conceptual understanding. In conclusion, chemical literacy and conceptual understanding are interrelated constructs that should be developed integratively through contextual and innovative learning approaches to address global challenges.

Abstract

Although the integration of digital technology in STEM education is growing, empirical evidence on the extent to which pre-service chemistry teachers are digitally prepared in terms of technology, pedagogy, and infrastructure is still limited. This study examines the digital readiness of pre-service chemistry teachers to integrate technology into STEM learning across six dimensions: Technology Acceptance, Technology Competence, Technology Control, Pedagogical Readiness, Infrastructure Readiness, and Utilisation of Digital Learning Resources. An embedded mixed-methods approach was employed in this study, integrating quantitative and qualitative methods to explore pre-service chemistry teachers’ digital readiness. Data were collected from 147 pre-service chemistry teachers at a single public University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, through a validated questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Meanwhile, the qualitative data from open-ended responses were analyzed thematically. The results show that the Technology Acceptance dimension falls into the very good category, reflecting high enthusiasm for adopting digital devices. Conversely, the dimensions of Technological Competence, Technological Control, Pedagogical Readiness, Infrastructure Readiness, and Utilisation of Digital Learning Resources were in the good category, indicating that although pre-service teachers are open to technology, their technical and pedagogical capacities are not yet fully optimal. Furthermore, Augmented Reality, PhET simulations, and Virtual Reality are the most widely used technologies, with limited facilities and a lack of training as the main obstacles. These findings emphasize the importance of structured training, infrastructure improvements, and policy support to strengthen digital pedagogical readiness in STEM education.
