Abstract

The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. This method is used to describe the implementation of good governance in the Protocol and Communication Division of Bandar Lampung City Leadership During Official Events. All data was obtained directly from informants in the field using interviews and document studies. The results of the study indicate that, in general, the implementation of official events has been running smoothly, but not yet fully optimal. The communication dimension has supported the coordination of leadership activities, but still requires improvement in the clarity and consistency of information. The resource dimension indicates efforts to meet the needs of apparatus and work facilities, but this is not fully supported by adequate competence and facilities. In terms of disposition or attitude of implementers, some apparatus have demonstrated commitment and professionalism, although there are still differences in levels of discipline and responsibility. Meanwhile, the dimensions of the bureaucratic structure have provided a framework for task implementation, but still face challenges in flexibility and effective coordination.

Abstract

The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. This method is used to describe the analysis of strategies to improve the effectiveness of protocol and leadership communication functions at the Bandar Lampung City Regional Secretariat. All data were obtained directly from informants in the field using interviews and document studies. The results of the study indicate that, based on the five dimensions of organizational effectiveness, it can be concluded that improving the effectiveness of protocol and leadership communication functions at the Bandar Lampung City Regional Secretariat requires a comprehensive and integrated approach. Clarity of objectives, availability and management of resources, effectiveness of internal processes, adaptability to the environment, and strengthening of organizational values ​​and culture are key interrelated factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, work discipline, and organizational culture on employee performance using the grand theory of Ability–Motivation–Opportunity (AMO). The AMO theory emphasizes that performance is determined by individual motivation, the ability to carry out tasks, and the opportunities created by the organization. The problem addressed is the suboptimal employee performance, making it necessary to empirically test the role of these three factors. This research provides empirical evidence of the relationship between those variables and performance. The study employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis based on questionnaire data collected from employees. Testing is conducted through the t-test to examine partial effects and the F-test to examine simultaneous effects. The model is also tested using classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the analysis. The results are used to explain the strength of the influence of each variable. The findings show that work motivation and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has the most dominant positive and significant influence in improving performance. Simultaneously, all three variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. These results support the AMO framework that the combination of motivation, ability, and opportunity produces optimal performance. The implication is that performance improvement must be carried out integratively through strengthening motivation, enforcing discipline, and developing a supportive organizational culture. Organizations need to create systems that enable employees to be capable and have the opportunity to demonstrate their best performance. An AMO-based approach makes human resource management more focused and sustainable. Ultimately, this leads to improved performance and better public service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of healthcare workforce competency development programs in improving service quality at Graha Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung. The background of this study is based on the importance of improving human resource quality as a key factor in determining healthcare service quality and patient satisfaction. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The research informants consisted of the Hospital Director, Head of General Affairs and Human Resources, Head of Medical Services, one physician, and two patients. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of competency development programs at Graha Husada Hospital has been carried out through various training activities and continuing professional education. However, program planning has not been fully based on a systematic Training Needs Analysis (TNA). Program implementation has also not been optimal due to limited training budgets, high workload of healthcare workers, and insufficient post-training monitoring and evaluation. The competency development program has a positive impact on improving service quality, particularly in the dimensions of reliability and assurance. However, improvements in responsiveness and empathy have not been optimally perceived by patients. Therefore, more structured, sustainable, and balanced competency development programs focusing on both technical skills and service behavior are required in order to comprehensively improve hospital service quality.

Abstract

The research method used was descriptive qualitative research. This method was used to describe the role of managerial leadership in the service transformation of the Sari Rasa Hotel in West Lampung Regency. All data were obtained directly from informants in the field using interviews and document studies. The results of the study indicate the role of managerial leadership in the service transformation at the Sari Rasa Hotel in West Lampung Regency. Based on the results, it was concluded that: (1) Idealized Influence: Managerial leadership has acted as a guiding figure in service change; (2) Inspirational Motivation: Leadership has attempted to encourage service transformation through work direction. (3) Individualized Consideration: Leadership attention to the needs and development of individual employees is present. (4) High Performance Expectation/Supportive Leader Behavior: Leadership sets high service performance standards.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan merupakan upaya untuk menumbuhkan inovasi guna menciptakan keselarasan antara perkembangan saat ini, pembelajaran, dan kepentingan siswa. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan di seluruh dunia juga menggunakan teknologi sebagai media atau alat pendukung proses pembelajaran. Salah satu aplikasi pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan ICT adalah aplikasi YouTube. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penggunaan aplikasi YouTube yang digunakan di SMAN 4 Pamekasan Kelas XI dengan menggunakan teks ceramah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mengajar siswa SMAN 4 Pamekasan mengalami peningkatan dan kategori penilaian sangat baik. Artinya penggunaan aplikasi YouTube saat mempelajari teks ceramah tidak hanya dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan menciptakan suasana baru dalam belajar mengajar, tetapi juga aplikasi YouTube dapat menarik perhatian siswa lebih baik dari yang lain.

Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, pembelajaran digital telah menjadi salah satu aspek fundamental dalam dunia pendidikan. Transformasi pendidikan ke arah digital mencakup penggunaan teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar serta memperkenalkan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan interaktif. Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberikan akses yang lebih luas kepada pendidik dan siswa terhadap sumber daya dan informasi, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih fleksibel dan personal. Dengan kemudahan akses ke materi pelajaran dan pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kecepatan individu, pembelajaran digital juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan mendorong kolaborasi melalui berbagai aplikasi dan media sosial. Sebagai bagian dari upaya transformasi ini, pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh D3TI Sekolah Vokasi UNS di SMAN 1 Surakarta pada 15 dan 16 Agustus 2024 bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui topik "Penggunaan AI untuk Mendukung Pembelajaran" dan "Teknis Penggunaan Tool untuk Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran." Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh sekitar 55 guru, dan hasil kuesioner pascapelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 70% guru (46 orang) telah menerapkan keterampilan yang diperoleh dalam proses pembelajaran. Dampak positif ini tidak hanya terlihat pada peningkatan kompetensi guru, tetapi juga pada kualitas pembelajaran yang diberikan, di mana 60% guru melaporkan adanya dampak signifikan terhadap proses pembelajaran di SMAN 1 Surakarta.
