Abstract

This study aims to develop a practicum guidelines for natural dyes based on Sasambo (Sasak, Samawa, Mbojo) indigenous plants to enhance students' understanding of using natural materials as eco-friendly dyes. The environmental hazards posed by synthetic dyes form the background for the importance of this research. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The practicum guidelines includes Sasambo indigenous plants, such as Ruellia Simplex, Curcuma longa, Syzygium cumini, Areca catechu, Pouteria campechiana, Clitoria ternatea, Cajanus  cajan, Murraya paniculata, Pandanus amaryllifolius, Ipomoea batatas. Expert validation and lecturer evaluations demonstrated that the developed practicum guidelines for natural dyes based on Sasambo indigenous plants is suitable for use. This is evidenced by its high level of clarity, graphical appeal, and usability, enabling effective student engagement with sustainable practices. Field and laboratory analyses identified ten plants capable of producing vibrant colors, such as purple, yellow, red, orange, blue, black, and green, with added antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. The conclusion of this study is that the developed practicum guidelines can be utilized as an effective learning medium for introducing natural dyes derived from Sasambo indigenous plants, thereby contributing to promoting sustainable industrial practices by leveraging local resources for environmental and economic sustainability.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi sejalan dengan kebutuhan sumber belajar yang interaktif dan adaptif sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk menunjang hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi validitas e-modul dengan Model Pembelajaran CinQASE terintegrasi kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP. E-modul dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Validitas e-modul melibatkan tiga orang pakar dengan menilai aspek kegrafikan, penyajian, isi, dan bahasa serta diuji menggunakan analisis Aiken’s V. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa e-modul memiliki tingkat validitas tinggi dengan kategori “sangat valid” pada aspek kegrafikan, penyajian, isi, dan bahasa. Selain itu, hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran seperti angket respon guru dan siswa, serta instrumen kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar juga menghasilkan penilaian yang baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa e-modul IPA dengan Model Pembelajaran CinQASE terintegrasi kemampuan berpikir kritis ini tidak hanya valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, tetapi juga efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, e-modul ini berpotensi menjadi salah satu solusi inovasi pembelajaran IPA yang interaktif, relevan, dan kontekstual dengan keterampilan abad ke-21.

Abstract

: Thin film characteristics are the properties possessed by the thin film, both physical and chemical properties. The characteristics of this thin film are influenced by several factors, namely the material that makes up the thin film, the thin film deposition method, and the conditions of the thin film deposition process. This research aims to identify and analyze research trends in the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on thin film synthesis that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOSviewer software. The results of the analysis show that the trend of research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 experienced a fluctuating increase, however, in 2023 there was a decline in the trend of research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, book chapters, preprints, and edited books that discuss research into the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. Key words that are often used in research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices are thin film coating, heat transfer characteristic, film characteristic, and photovoltaic characteristic.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik didorong untuk menyiapkan kompetensi/kecakapan abad 21 (Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Innovation, Critical thinking and Problem Solving) dan meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS), serta meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Salah satu bentuk pembelajaran yang ditekankan di SMK adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Mata pelajaran Projek Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di SMK berfungsi untuk membekali peserta didik agar mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan di kehidupan nyata pada abad 21 ini yang berkaitan dengan fenomena alam dan sosial di sekitarnya secara ilmiah dengan menerapkan konsep sains. Guru dan peserta didik membutuhkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan mengintegrasikan aspek-aspek IPAS untuk peningkatan HOTS dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik SMK. Di sisi lain, proses pembelajaran perlu mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Berbagai bentuk sumber belajar, termasuk dari internet dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bagian terintegrasi di dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Pengembangan modul ajar IPAS berbasis proyek ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan kreativitas konsep peserta didik SMK. Metode pengembangan modul ajar IPAS berbasis proyek bagi peserta didik di SMK ini menggunakan model four-D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Penlitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul IPAS memperoleh skor rata-rata 85% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Modul IPAS berbasis projek layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning outcomes of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram by using blended learning on the subject matter of reaction rates. An understanding of abstract chemical concepts requires appropriate learning strategies so that in the learning process students do not feel bored. The use of blended learning by paying attention to students initial abilities is thought to be able to overcome this problem. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The research data used a learning achievement test which consisted of 13 multiple choice questions accompanied by reasons. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students who were taught using blended learning were higher then those who were taught using conventional learning. Data analysis used a One-way Ancova statistical test, and after being tested, the results showed that blended learning did not have a significant effect on the chemistry learning outcomes of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of chemistry learning during the implementation of online learning at State High Schools in Sumbawa district (SMAN 1 Sumbawa, SMAN 2 Sumbawa, and SMAN 3 Sumbawa). This type of research is descriptive with an ex post facto quantitative approach. Sampling technique with the formula of Isaac and Michael with an error rate of 5%, obtained 210 samples. Data collection on the effectiveness of online learning using a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale consisting of 36 statements. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical analysis techniques by calculating percentages, results were obtained: indicators of managing the implementation of learning by 72%, communicative processes by 65%, student responses by 52%, learning activities by 68%, and learning outcomes by 70%. The results showed that the effectiveness of chemistry learning during the implementation of online learning with these 5 indicators falls into the effective category with an average of 65%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between social attitudes and student chemistry learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of ex-post facto quantitative research involved 203 students of class XII science which was determined by using multistage random sampling technique from a total population of 406 students at Madrasah Aliyah Mataram. Social attitude data were obtained from questionnaires and learning outcomes data were obtained from description questions on the colligative properties of solutions. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the categories for social attitudes and student chemistry learning outcomes were in the moderate category with a percentage of 68,5% and 66%, respectively. Of the seven element of social attitudes, the highest value is found in the element of tolerance and the lowest value is found in the honest element. The results of the analysis show that social attitudes and student chemistry learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic have a positive and significant relationship although it is very low (rxy = 0,24). Based on these results, it can be concluded that social attitudes can affect student chemistry learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic in class XII IPA at Madrasah Aliyah Mataram, although the effect is relatively low. It is hoped that these findings will be taken into consideration by schools so that they can take appropriate policies so that student learning outcomes are better.

Abstract

Science education is a cornerstone in preparing students for the complexities of the contemporary world. In this vein, the integration of Interactive Labs technology resources into science learning presents a promising avenue. This literature review delves into the expansive realm of Interactive Labs within science education, shedding light on their myriad advantages and burgeoning trends. Employing the "Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA)" methodology, the review meticulously scrutinizes pertinent articles, elucidating the transformative potential inherent in Interactive Labs, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) technologies in the realm of science education. One of the primary revelations of this review is the manifold benefits that Interactive Labs offer. These technologies not only enhance students' attitudes towards science but also bolster their academic performance, foster critical thinking skills, and augment engagement levels. Furthermore, Interactive Labs present a cost-effective, scalable, and safe alternative to traditional laboratory settings, thereby democratizing access to hands-on scientific experimentation. Particularly noteworthy are the transformative capabilities of VR and AR technologies within the educational landscape. By immersing students in simulated environments, VR and AR facilitate experiential learning, allowing students to interact with scientific concepts in ways previously unimaginable. This immersive approach not only enhances comprehension but also kindles a sense of wonder and curiosity, vital for nurturing a lifelong passion for science. In conclusion, this literature review underscores the pivotal role that technology plays in shaping the future of science education. By equipping educators and institutions with innovative tools, such as Interactive Labs, VR, and AR, it paves the way for enriched learning experiences and contributes to the continual evolution of science education. The integration of technology promises to be instrumental in realizing the full potential of science education, thereby fostering a generation of adept and inspired scientific minds.

Abstract

The ability of chemistry teachers to identify scientific science contained in the culture of the Sasak, Samawa and Mbojo (Ethnosasambo) peoples varies. Most teachers find it difficult to connect science concepts with existing cultures, so socialization and training activities are carried out which aim to improve teachers' ability to identify science concepts in ethnosasambo. The socialization activity was attended by 30 teachers from 10 high schools and vocational schools in West Lombok Regency. Data on teacher ability before and after socialization activities were measured using evaluation questionnaires, and the results were analyzed and described to describe changes in teacher abilities after the activity. The results show that teachers' ability to identify the concept of science in ethnosasambo is increasing. It is hoped that this good experience motivates teachers to integrate ethnosasambo culture into learning activities so that classroom learning becomes more meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to produce inquiry-based AR media that is feasible, practical, and effective to improve students' critical thinking skills which can ultimately achieve the SDGs goals in the aspect of mutual education. This study uses a 4D model development procedure. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students at one of the Mataram City Junior High Schools consisting of 3 classes. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation sheets and test instruments developed according to critical thinking indicators. Data analysis techniques used Aikens'V for feasibility testing, practicality percentage testing and normalized gain testing to test the hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the Augmented Reality (AR) Media developed was included in the category of feasible and practical for use in science learning and could increase students' interest in learning. AR media supports students in the inquiry learning process. The use of AR media makes it easier for students to learn and provides fun and current things. Learning using AR media facilitates active and creative learning for pupils since it is supported by investigative activities.
