Abstract

Analog rice can be used as a diversification and substitution of rice, in order to overcome the shortage of rice production, breadfruit become the choice in making analog rice because of its very much growth in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tapioca flour concentration in making analog rice which is the main raw material for breadfruit flour. The process of making analog rice includes weighing the ingredients, mixing the ingredients, granulating the ingredients, and giving water. This research method is mixing breadfruit flour with tapioca flour with five levels, namely 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% tapioca flour with the testing stage is analog rice steaming, rice drying, measurement of test parameters, data and test results parameters, then the parameters observed were (water absorption, grain diameter, water absorption, bulk density and proximate). The more tapioca flour additions, the analog rice water content increased ie the first treatment was 7.11% while the fifth treatment was 7.91%. The more tapioca flour is added, the less weight percentage with grain size <2 mm while the percentage weight with 4.7 mm grain size is getting higher. Then the addition of tapioca flour to water absorption decreased the first treatment by 102.69% and the fifth treatment was 88.01%.

Abstract

The increasing demand for energy causes a decrease in the availability of fossil fuels. Biomass from oil palm waste, namely empty oil palm bunches, can be used as an alternative fuel. The torrefaction process converts biomass into environmentally friendly biopellets with high added value. In this study, the calibration of the K-type thermocouple sensor was carried out using Arduino Uno and testing of the automatic pellet torrefaction tool from empty palm oil bunches. This study aims to develop an automatic control system for the pellet torrefaction tool. The design of the automatic torrefaction tool uses a microcontroller with a gas stove energy source. The dimensions of the support frame are the torrefaction tube (24 cm x 28 cm), the servo motor frame (15 cm x 9.5 cm) and the dynamo support frame (26 cm x 6.5 cm). The tool box is square (50 cm x 50 cm). The torrefaction tube has a volume of 2,826 cm3, a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 16 cm. The results showed that the system successfully reached a temperature of 300°C for 30 minutes from the initial temperature. The temperature accuracy test produced an average value of 92.12%. The stability of temperature control also proved to be quite good in achieving the specified setting point. The water content of torrefaction pellets at a temperature of 150-300°C was around 1-2%. The hydrophobicity of torrefaction pellets at a temperature of 250-300°C after being soaked for 24 hours had a clearer color and remained intact.

Abstract

Harmonization and synchronization are required in the development of laws and regulations in order to strengthen the law and avoid overlapping regulations. Sexual crime legislation, there is the phrase "without the consent of the victim" or better known as sexual consent in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of Research and Technology Number 30 of 2021 concerning the prevention and handling of violence in the higher education environment (Permendikbudristek 30/2021), the term of sexual consent is not in line with the sexual crime regulations in other laws and regulations. This research method uses a normative approach that refers to legislation and norms, as well as a conceptual approach to explain the theory used systematically. The results of the study indicate that sexual consent is inappropriate for sexual violence, because sexual consent is contrary to the Criminal Code, the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence, the Trafficking in Persons Act, the Pornography Law, and the Act Sexual Violence.

Abstract

Village development planning is important to achieve the set goals, but the development of Pasawahan Village so far has not been based on spatial use, so it is unable to answer problems and explore existing local potential. This research aims to study development priorities in spatial planning and village innovation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a SWOT analysis. The research results for priority activities in the development sector include the provision of village health post (poskesdes), a reading garden, and village infrastructure, and the priority in the development empowerment sector is training on appropriate technology for agricultural production, waste processing sites – reduce, reuse, recycle (TPS3R), and village-owned enterprises (BUMDes). Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengenai motif, pengalaman dan makna komunikasi anak dan orang tua melalui media WhatsApp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori fenomenologi menurut Alfred Schutz yang bertujuan memahami tindakan sosial yang berorientasi pada perilaku orang atau pada masa lalu, sekarang dan yang akan datang melalui penafsiran. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa yang menjadi motif pengguna menggunakan WhatsApp adalah dengan kepopulerannya dan biayanya yang murah. Beragam pengalaman pengguna saat melakukan proses komunikasi di WhatsApp, pemaknaan komunikasi melalui WhatsApp yaitu untuk bertukar kabar, sarana komunikasi populer pada jarak yang jauh dan untuk memaknai pesan dari pengirim perlu pemahaman terlebih dahulu sebelum membalas.

Abstract

Abstract. Aglonema is an ornamental plant that currently has a lot of fans. Aglonema has economic value. There are so many aglonemas in Hend'z Florist Aglonema Sawangan Depok. There are problems faced by Hend'z Florist Aglonema in his cultivation in marketing using only social media such as youtube and conventional word of mouth. Answering the problems of the service team making information technology based on e-commerce websites. The purpose of this activity is to utilize science and technology (IPTEK) for aglonema cultivation business strategy for the creation of welfare based on e-commerce websites. The stages of implementing this service are carried out by providing socialization, training, mentoring, evaluation, simulation, monitoring, and sustainability. The method used is learning by doing, for this method begins with a direct field review to monitor and evaluate the results of the training that has been carried out. The mentoring process in this service includes socialization, training, evaluation, simulation, monitoring, and evaluation. From the results of the assistance carried out by partners, they were able to apply the use of technology by 88%, helping to increase knowledge and skills in the field of digital marketing by 85% and being able to increase the partners' income. To ensure the success of the implementation of community service, the evaluation stage will be carried out at each stage of program development. Abstrak. Aglonema merupakan tanaman hias saat ini banyak sekali peminatnya. Aglonema memiliki value ekonomis. Banyak sekali aglonema ada pada Hend'z Florist Aglonema Sawangan Depok. Ada permasalahan yang dihadapi Hend'z Florist Aglonema pada budidayanya dalam pemasaran hanya menggunakan media sosial seperti youtube dan konvensiaonal dari mulut ke mulut. Menjawab permasalahan tim pengabdi membuat teknologi informasi berbasis website e-commerce. Tujuan kegiatan ini memanfaatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK) untuk strategi bisnis budidaya aglonema demi terciptanya kesejahteraan berbasis website e-commerce. Tahapan-tahapan terlaksananya pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan pemberian sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, evaluasi, simulasi, monitoring dan berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan ialah learning by doing, untuk metode ini diawali peninjauan langsung kelapangan hingga monitoring dan evaluasi dari hasil pelatihan yang sudah terlaksana. Proses pendampingan dalam pengabdian ini seperti sosialisasi, pelatihan, evaluasi, simulasi, monitoring dan evaluasi. Dari hasil pendampingan yang dilakukan mitra mampu menerapkan penggunaan teknologi sebesar 88%, membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dibidang digital marketing sebesar 85% dan dapat menaikkan pendapatan mitra tersebut. Untuk memastikan keberhasilan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat, maka tahapan evaluasi akan dilakukan pada setiap tahap pengembangan program.

Abstract

The increase in environmental problems due to climate change means that people in big cities need to carry out mitigation by reducing carbon emissions in their residential areas to make city areas more livable. This research aims to explore various problems and impacts of climate change in the city of Bandung as well as mitigation efforts carried out by the community to reduce carbon emissions while creating a livable city. The research method is qualitative-descriptive with primary data collection through interviews and field observations. The research was conducted in 4 urban village settlement locations, namely Cibunut Kampong in Kebon Pisang sub-district, Antapani Tengah sub-district, Neglasari sub-district, and Cisaranten Kidul sub-district, Bandung City. The research results showed that there are several spatial and environmental problems in the effort to achieve a livable Bandung City. The climate change mitigation efforts that have been implemented by the community in their residential areas while creating a more livable city area are by adding and managing green open space, independent waste management, managing Buruan sae (Urban farming) programs and vertical gardens, creating bio pores and absorption wells, maintaining environmental cleanliness and establishing collaboration with various related institutions

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan keamanan produksi nata de coco melalui implementasi Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) di komunitas petani dan produsen lokal. Nata de coco merupakan produk berbasis kelapa yang banyak diminati, namun sering kali kualitasnya bervariasi akibat kurangnya standar produksi. Dengan menerapkan GMP, diharapkan dapat dicapai peningkatan mutu produk yang konsisten dan aman untuk dikonsumsi.Program ini melibatkan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada produsen nata de coco di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Materi pelatihan mencakup aspek kebersihan dan sanitasi, kontrol proses produksi, dokumentasi, serta pengawasan mutu. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hal kebersihan fasilitas, konsistensi produk, dan penerapan praktik produksi yang baik.Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan GMP berhasil mengurangi risiko kontaminasi dan meningkatkan ketebalan serta tekstur nata de coco. Selain itu, peningkatan sistem dokumentasi dan pelacakan memudahkan pengawasan proses produksi dan penanganan masalah. Kesadaran produsen mengenai pentingnya GMP juga meningkat, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk di pasar.

Abstract

The growth of development that continues to increase in each region results in reduced water catchment areas, to overcome this it is necessary to create artificial recharge. Artificial infiltration aims to preserve groundwater as a source of life to be maintained, for reasons of beauty many building service users prefer paving blocks as an alternative to pavement covering the ground surface, installations that have gaps on the sides of the paving can transmit water by 30-50% . Paving block is a building material composed of portland cement, aggregate, water, with or without additives but does not reduce the quality of the paving itself. Porous paving blocks are paving blocks made from added materials in the form of biomass waste, one of which is teak wood sawdust. This research was conducted to make porous paving blocks with quality standard D, which are used for parks floor and other uses. The composition of the materials used were cement and sand (1:3), added with teak sawdust in the treatment of P1 as much as 2%, P2 as much as 4%, P3 as much as 6%, and P4 as much as 8% of the total weight of the material 2.5 kg. Based on (SNI 03-0691-1996), paving block sizes have a minimum thickness of 60 mm with a tolerance of ±8%. The porous paving block produced meets SNI standards with side lengths of 100 mm and thicknesses varying between 56 – 72 mm. Paving blocks with quality standard D have a minimum compressive strength value of 8.5 MPa and a maximum water absorption capacity of 10%. The results of this research shown the paving block P1 treatment has an average compressive strength value of 16.05 MPa with an average water absorption capacity of 6.89% which are in paving block type D quality standard range. Keywords: Leachate, Paving Block Porous, Teak Wood Sawdust, Waste.

Abstract

Cause of damage is improper or inappropriate packaging. Therefore this study aims to determine the optimal type of packaging damper in minimizing mechanical damage to the fruit. This research was conducted in February - April 2020 at the Laboratory of Bioprocess Engineering and Postharvest Handling, University of Lampung. This research was conducted by looking at the level of damage to the avocado when dropped manually and when vibrated mechanically with a vibrating table. In the manual experiment, one avocado is divided into four parts, each part will be treated with different absorbent materials in the form of straw, fibers, dried banana leaves and control with a thickness of 2cm damper which is then dropped from a height of 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm. In mechanical testing using a packaging box measuring 29 cm long, 14 cm wide and 14 cm high. Each box contains 12 avocados arranged in 2 layers and then added with a damper with a thickness of 2 cm, each package is ventilated with a circle type with a diameter of 3 cm, 4 pieces on each right and left side of the package. The observed parameters were mechanical damage in the form of bruises, weight loss, and level of hardness test. The observed data obtained were processed using simple statistics with each data averaged and compared to the damage between the fruit that was dropped manually and vibrated with a vibrating table. The results showed that the fiber-absorbing agent treatment was more optimal in minimizing mechanical damage to avocado because the fibers had a lignin content of around 29.4%. Keywords: Avocado, Mechanical Damage, Silencer, Transportation Simulation.
