Abstract

Greenhouses with natural ventilation face challenges in maintaining a stable microclimate, particularly in managing air temperature and humidity, which affect the Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD). This study aimed to monitor and analyze VPD levels inside a naturally ventilated greenhouse using misting (fogging) treatments at different heights, in order to determine the most effective strategy for VPD control. The research was conducted at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Lampung, using three treatments: no fogging (T1F0), fogging at 50 cm (T2F50), and fogging at 100 cm (T3F100) above the plant canopy. Temperature and humidity data were collected using DHT22 sensors and a hygrometer, and used to calculate VPD values. The results showed that the 50 cm fogging treatment (T2F50) effectively reduced VPD to an average of 0.97 kPa, which is within the optimal range (0.5–1.2 kPa) for plant growth. In contrast, the no-fogging treatment produced the highest VPD value (2.17 kPa), which could cause plant stress. Statistical analysis (ANOVA and LSD test) indicated that fogging height significantly influenced VPD values, especially under hot weather conditions. Therefore, fogging at 50 cm is recommended as the most effective treatment for maintaining optimal VPD in naturally ventilated greenhouses.

Abstract

Rice is the main commodity processed into rice, as a staple food for the people of Indonesia. Pests and diseases can cause decreased production to crop failure. The method used by farmers is pest control by spraying chemical pesticides. However, chemical pesticides have serious impacts on plants, increased immunity for pests, increased chemical residues in crops that threaten human health, and environmental pollution. The objective of this study is to design an integrated high-tech trap that is effective, efficient, cost-effective, durable, safe, environmentally friendly (zero-emission), and low in operational costs, with the ultimate goal of enhancing farmers' income. This automatic pest trap embeds a microcontroller, infrared sensor, fan and solar panel. Observations were made on 4 tools, namely complete lures, yellow LED, lights and pheromones. Based on the observations, Scotinophara coarctata and Nilaparvata lugens were identified as the most commonly trapped insect pests in rice fields. The insect's fall speed was fast, namely 1 minute 4 seconds with good stability. Insect readings came in higher on the complete lure due to the combination of three lures, each of which has its own insect attraction. The effectiveness of insect capture on the complete automatic insect trap was the highest at 84.47%.

Abstract

Insect pests generally attack horticultural plants and carry viruses that are harmful to plants. For this reason, a tough and precise control system is needed to be able to control insect pests. Researchers from the University of Lampung have designed a semi-automatic insect pest trapping device utilizing solar energy that can control the development of pest insects in horticultural crops. Technology that is transformed to the public has affordable assembly costs with great benefits to reduce the effects of crop failure from insect pests. The aim of this service is technological transformation through continuous socialization, training, manufacturing, and maintenance of semi-automatic pest traps from the University of Lampung. This service is carried out for horticultural producers in the Maju farmer group, Kota Gajah Subdistrict, Central Lampung. The working system of this tool At night, ultraviolet lamps and TL lights installed are able to attract insect pests to come around the lights and fall into the trap. Whereas during the day, the scent of attractant and fermomon is able to attract insect pests to be ensnared. The technology used has been integrated with electricity sources from renewable energy, namely solar cells.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan keadaan gagal tumbuh pada balita akibat defisiensi gizi kronik yang berkepanjangan dan paparan infeksi yang berulang terutama dalam 1000 hari pertama kehidupan (HPK). Berdasarkan data Riskesdas 2022, angka stunting di Indonesia yaitu sebesar 21,6%. Angka tersebut lebih tinggi dari target angka stunting yang ditetapkan pemerintah yaitu sebesar 14%. Salah satu upaya yang memegang peran dalam penurunan angka stunting yaitu melalui swasembada gizi yaitu usaha pemenuhan gizi secara mandiri. Komoditas bahan pangan lokal seperti sayur-sayuran ataupun kacang-kacangan bermanfaat dalam pemenuhan gizi masa pertumbuhan sebagai wujud swasembada gizi di rumah. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pencegahan stunting dengan memanfaatkan pangan lokal kaya gizi, maka dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dalam bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan di Desa Way Galih, Kecamatan Lampung Selatan, terdiri atas tiga tahap meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh ibu-ibu PKK dengan melibatkan beberapa kader posyandu, perangkat desa, dan kecamatan. Adapun hasil evaluasi pemahaman peserta sosialisasi diperoleh melalui presentase nilai benar pretest dan posttest yang kemudian dibandingkan menggunakan analisis uji beda paired t-test. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini memberikan dampak peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat Desa Way Galih tentang stunting dan pencegahannya serta pemahaman mereka dalam pemanfaatan pangan lokal yang kaya gizi, murah, dan mudah ditemukan.

Abstract

Caulerpa racemosa atau dikenal dengan nama latoh adalah salah satu komoditas perikanan yang digemari karena memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi. Namun, dalam budidaya C. racemosa masih terdapat kendala yaitu produksi yang belum maksimal dan pertumbuhan yang belum optimal. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhannya yaitu dengan melakukan perendaman bibit rumput laut menggunakan hormon pertumbuhan dari ekstrak bahan alami. Jagung merupakan salah satu bahan alami yang mengandung hormon pertumbuhan giberelin, sitokinin, dan auksin. Hormon tersebut dapat merangsang pertumbuhan batang dan akar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penambahan hormon dengan menggunakan ekstrak kasar jagung terhadap pertumbuhan dan morfologi C. racemosa dan mengetahui lama waktu perendaman terbaik ekstrak kasar jagung terhadap pertumbuhan C. racemosa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali pengulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan yaitu perendaman selama 0 menit (sebagai kontrol) (A), 30 menit (B), 40 menit (C), dan 50 menit (D). Data yang diperoleh selama penelitian meliputi morfologi, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan kualitas air. Lama waktu perendaman C. racemosa dalam media ekstrak kasar jagung berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan. Perlakuan B menunjukkan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak (123,63 ± 6,55 g) dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (4,15 ± 0,21% per hari). Perlakuan B memiliki morfologi thalus dan ramulli yang besar serta rimbun. Parameter kualitas air dalam kisaran yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan C. racemosa.Caulerpa racemosa, known as latoh, is a popular edible green alga due to its high nutritional content and medicinal benefits. However, low quality and slow growth of seed prevented the aquaculture development C. racemosa. Soaking the seaweed seed with growth hormone immersion from extracts of natural ingredients could potentially improve its growth rate. Corn contains growth hormone gibberellins, cytokinins, and auxins. These hormones can stimulate the growth of stems and roots. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of growth hormones in corn crude extract and the best soaking time of the extract on the growth development and morphology of C. racemosa. This research was conducted using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with three replicates. The treatments were soaking the seed in corn extract for 0 minutes (as a control) (A), 30 minutes (B), 40 minutes (C), and 50 minutes (D). The data obtained during the study included morphology, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, and water quality. The duration of immersion of C. racemosa in maize extract media had a significant effect (P<0.05) on growth. Treatment B showed the best results with absolute weight growth and growth rate values of 123.63 ± 6.55 g and 4.15 ± 0.21% per day, respectively. This research successfully determines that corn extract improves the growth of C. racemosa seeds indicated by the large thallus and ramuli of the cultured seaweed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Muslim community acceptance on the effectiveness of the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 30 of 2021 (Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021). The presence of the phrase "sexual consent" hereinafter referred to as sexual consent in Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021 has an impact on the issue of refusal of sexual consent among the Muslim community. As a country that is imbued with religious beliefs, especially Islam, the Muslim community is of the view that the existence of sexual consent can injure the noble values of the One Godhead. The rolling issue of refusal can affect the effectiveness of the law. This study uses a socio-legal legal research method with a sociological approach and a conceptual approach. Sources of data using primary and secondary data with data collection techniques through interviews and survey methods. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed using a simple linear regression equation. The results showed that based on the results of linear regression analysis, the acceptance of the Muslim community towards sexual consent has a significant effect on the effectiveness of Permendikbud No. 30 of 2021. The form of acceptance of the Muslim community tends to be in the form of rejection of sexual consent regulated in Permendikbud No. 30 of 2021. Abstract

Stunting is a condition where toddlers fail to thrive due to prolonged chronic malnutrition and repeated exposure to infections, especially in the first 1000 days of life (HPK), resulting in short growth in children who do not meet standards. Based on Riskesdas data, the stunting rate in 2023 will reach 21.6% and every year the stunting rate in Indonesia continues to decline. One of the vegetable or legume commodities that is useful in fulfilling nutrition during the growing period is spinach leaves and soybeans. This is because green beans contain complete protein, namely calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins A, B, C. , E, and K. Apart from that, the nutritional content of spinach includes vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, B, C, protein, fat, carbohydrates, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron. One local food product that is well received by the public is a drink in the form of herbal powder with the main ingredients being green beans and spinach leaves. This community service (PkM) activity was carried out to introduce the results of innovations in making products that can be produced independently by the people of Way Galih Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung Regency. This activity consists of three stages including preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of this activity are an increase in the understanding of the Way Galih Village community regarding education about stunting as well as nutritional information needed by children during the growth period which can be obtained through foods that are easy to find in everyday life such as green beans and spinach.

Abstract

Telur merupakan bahan pangan yang tergolong cepat rusak. Oleh sebab itu sehingga perlu memerlukan dilakukan penanganan secara tepat untuk mempertahankan kualitasnya. Penyimpanan dingin dapat menjaga kualitas telur dan meningkatkan daya simpan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengevaluasi kualitas telur konsumsi dengan suhu penyimpanan dingin yang berbeda melalui uji organoleptik. Rancangan penelitian yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 ulangan. Jenis telur pada penelitian yaitu telur ayam ras, telur itik dan telur puyuh kemudian disimpan pada suhu dingin (5°C, 10°C dan 15°C) selama 60 hari. Parameter uji organoleptik yang diamati terdiri dari rasa, aroma, warna dan tekstur. Hasil penelitian yaitu telur yang disimpan pada suhu 5°C, 10°C dan 15°C tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap aroma, warna, rasa dan tesktur telur pada tingkat kesukaan panelis. Aroma telur itik dinilai lebih amis daripada telur ayam dan telur itik. Warna kuning telur itik lebih terang dibandingkan telur ayam dan telur puyuh. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah uji organoleptik dari aroma, warna, rasa dan tekstur pada telur pada penyimpanan dingin selama 60 hari masih dapat diterima atau disukai oleh panelis.

Abstract

Teknologi pengolahan abon dan bubuk cabai (Abuca) tergolong cukup mudah sehingga dapat diterapkan oleh para istri petani yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) “Maju” di Desa Waringinsari Timur, Kecamatan Adiluwih, Kabupaten Pringsewu. Pemberdayaan KWT dalam usaha produksi Abuca menjadi salah satu solusi bagi permasalahan harga jual cabai yang sangat rendah pada saat panen raya. Rangkaian kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari: (1) sosialisasi dan koordinasi, (2) penyuluhan pascapanen dan peluang usaha pengolahan cabai, (3) penentuan merk dan desain label kemasan (4) praktik produksi Abuca dan pemasaran produk, serta (5) evaluasi kegiatan. Transfer pengetahuan dan alih teknologi kepada mitra dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan dan praktik. Setelah dibina selama 4 bulan (Juli—Oktober 2019), para anggota KWT Maju kini telah memiliki pengetahuan dan keterempilan untuk memproduksi Abuca dan telah memiliki produk dengan merk “Hot Asoy”. Terdapat 3 varian abon cabai yang diproduksi yaitu rasa teri, rebon, dan original (rasa bawang). Abon cabai dikemas per 50 gram dalam botol dan standing pouch plastik dengan harga jual Rp.18.000,- dan Rp.15.000,-. Sedangkan bubuk cabai dikemas per 100 gram dalam standing pouch plastik dengan harga jual Rp.10.000,-.
