Abstract

Language politeness is one of the skills that every person needs to apply . An impolite individual can be said to be an individual who is unable to appreciate, respect and sympathize with other individuals. Politeness in oral communication will have an effect on students' communication activities when dealing with various parties in everyday life . Factors that influence students' politeness come from parents, social environment, norms in society , and understanding of the principles of language politeness. Today's situation is that many students are not good at sorting and choosing words when interacting with people older than them. Their teachers are no exception. Therefore, it is necessary to observe students' language politeness so that they can interact well with any party. This research aims to observe the language politeness activities of class V students at SDN 4 Cacaban, Magelang city . The method used is a descriptive qualitative method as an effort to describe the politeness of students' language. Based on the research results, it shows that the language politeness applied by class V students in the independent curriculum is in accordance with the types of politeness acts . In the research conducted, it appears that teachers also play a role in influencing students' language politeness. Teachers also use polite greetings , by asking for help from their students. In this case, the teacher acts as an example and provides guidance to students regarding the importance of language politeness .

Abstract

Low affective competence is the cause of student behavior in elementary school. One of the problems faced by elementary school students in the city of Magelang is their attitudes that deviate from the norm, such as difficulty being managed both in class and at school, bad speech, behavior against teachers, and behavior that deviates from the norm. Students do not have sufficient affective abilities, which results in their tiresome behavior. This research aims to learn more about student deviation and the reduction of affective competence in schools located in the urban community of Magelang City. In addition, researchers will study further the reasons why students have low levels of affective abilities. It is hoped that this research can improve the quality of education and educate a golden generation with traits. To dig deeper into students' affective competence and the reasons behind it, this research uses a mixed type of research. The research location is SD Negeri Magersari 3 in Magelang City. In the first stage of data collection, observation and documentation questionnaires were used; in the second stage, interviews, documentation and observation are used. The results show that students' affective abilities in learning are very good, and the school environment is also very good. The shortcomings include three elementary school students who are considered to have low interest, seven students who are considered to have low caring affective competence, and one student who is considered to have a very low level of self-confidence.

Abstract

The behavior of elementary school students is caused by students' low affective competence. Problems related to elementary school students that occur in the city of Magelang include various deviations in students' attitudes, namely being difficult to manage in class and at school, bad words, and behavior against teachers. This weak student behavior is due to the students' low affective competence. The presence of this research wants to explore more deeply regarding student deviation and the management of affective competence. Apart from that, researchers will explore in more depth the causes of students' low affective competence. The hope with this research is to improve the quality of education and educate a golden generation with character. This research uses qualitative ethnographic research to explore more deeply the affective competence of students and the causes of low affective competence. This type of research is descriptive with mixed research methods. Quantitative research methods are used to measure students' affective abilities using questionnaire data collection techniques, observation and documentation. Qualitative research methods were used to determine the causes of students' low affective abilities. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews or FGD, and documentation. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Wates 3 in Magelang City. The results of the research show that the overall affective abilities of students are very good, but there are low affective abilities in learning as many as 5 students, and the affective abilities of students in the school environment are 8 students. This low affective ability is caused by wrong parenting patterns from parents, excessive use of technology, and students' friendship environment.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya permasalahan motivasibelajar rendah, rendahnya sikap menghargai sesama, dan belum taat pada peraturan sekolah.Perkembangan teknologi dan modernitas pada zaman saat ini menjadikan pengaruh pada generasimuda yang sering bergaul melalui sosial media. Terkadang konten dalam sosial media terdapat sisinegatif dan positif, sisi negtifnya dapat menjadikan generasi muda terpegaruh dengan konten yanghedonisme, halusinasi, dan peyimpangan sikap. Hal tersebut berdampak langsung dengan sikap,mental, dan tumbuh kembang siswa. Sehingga sikap dan perilaku bela negara siswa menjadi rendahdan mulai mengalami penurunan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini sesuai dengan visi Untidaradalah Universitas berbasis riset dalam mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, dankewirausahaan. Misi Untidar mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni berdasarkanpendekatan riset; melaksanakan tridharma perguruan tinggi berdasarkan pendekatan riset.Pengabdian ini mendukung mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan sebagai pelaksanaantridharma perguruan tinggi. Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dankemampuan bela negara siswa. Memberikan pengetahuan bela negara melalui sosialisasi untukmeningkatkan motivasi, nilai-nilai kebangsaan, dan kedisiplinan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakatbahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman siswa dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, dan 55 %siswa menjawa sangat baik untuk pelaksanaan pengabdian. Abstract

Perlunya materi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan lebih dekat dengan nilai-nilai kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Perlunya nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dijadikan materi pembelajaran mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Tujuan artikel ini ialah menjelaskan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat di wilayah Magelang untuk dijadikan materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Pendidikan Kewargangeraan yang berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dapat mampu membentuk warga negara memiliki identitas atau kepribadian bangsa. Adanya nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam memperkenalkan warga negara muda untuk nilainilai luhur dan kebudayaan yang baik. Pengalaman nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai bentuk penguatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal bangsa Indonesia. Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganeagraan. Nilai kehidupan bangsa Indonesia, meliputi gotong royong, kekeluargaan dan tepo sliro, eling lan waspodho, andhap asor dan halus budi pekertinya. Abstract

Upaya resolusi konflik dibangun untuk mencegah timbulnya konflik komunal di antara warga etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Jawa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguraikan upaya dalam membangun kerukunan antara etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Jawa di Kampung Pecinan, Sudiroprajan, melalui resolusi konflik berbasis budaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resolusi konflik berbasis budaya di Kampung Pecinan, Sudiroprajan meliputi: 1) proses perkawinan silang antara etnis Tionghoa dan Jawa; 2)  prinsip "kumpul ra kumpul mangan" yang selanjutnya memberikan motivasi kepada masyarakat dari etnis Jawa; 3) Bangunan yang mengolaborasikan motif dan ukiran Cina dan Jawa; 4) Berbagai upacara keagamaan yang melibatkan seluruh partisipasi etnis; 5) Pertunjukkan wayang potehi dan barongsai yang dimainkan secara bersama-sama baik oleh etnis Tionghoa maupun etnis Jawa.-----Conflict resolution efforts were built to prevent communal conflict between ethnic Tionghoa and ethnic Javanese. The purpose of this study is to describe the efforts in building harmony between Tionghoa and Javanese ethnic groups in Kampung Pecinan, Sudiroprajan, through cultural-based conflict resolution. This research is a case study research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that cultural-based conflict resolution in Kampung Pecinan, Sudiroprajan included: 1) the process of cross-marriages between ethnic Tionghoa and Javanese; 2) the principle of "gathering together manganese gathering" which further provides motivation to the people of ethnic Javanese; 3) Buildings collaborating on Tionghoa and Javanese motifs and engravings; 4) Various religious ceremonies involving all ethnic participation; 5) Puppet potehi and barongsai performances that are played together both by ethnic Tionghoa and Javanese.

Abstract

This qualitative ethnographic study investigates the value of character education for children at elementary school in the context of English Language Teaching and how it affects their emotional growth. The research aims to evaluate several key student behaviour and character indicators, including values, morality, attitudes, interests, and self-concept. Data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaire analysis. The results show that students' variances in these indicators provide insight into the range of affective development that occurs in the setting of schooling. The results revealed that most students demonstrated good attitudes, interests, and values, with most rated 'Excellent' or 'Good' in these indicators. However, self-concept showed more significant variation, with several students rated 'Fair'. Moral indicators also show positive results, with most students rated 'Excellent' or 'Good'. This study offers insightful information about students' conduct and personality in learning environments. The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions to improve self-concept and suggest that fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment is crucial for overall character development. These insights can serve as a basis for creating more effective educational programs and improving student performance in learning environments.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian unggulan universitas ini untuk meningkatkan ketarampilan guru dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan peningkatakan kemampuan menggunakan teknologi pendukung untuk menyesuikan dengan tantangan perilaku afektif siswa rendah. Pemberian pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran afektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dilatarbelakangi adanya permasalahan pada mitra belum optimalnya pembelajaran aktif dan keterampilan penggunaan teknologi pendukung pembelajaran. Terlebih adanya penururan afektif siswa, sehingga diperlukan keterampilan guru dalam pembelajaran dan mendidik siswa menjadi lebih berat. Guru membutuhkan adanya pendampingan penyusunan pembelajaran afektif yang dapat meningkatkan afektif siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini sesuai dengan visi Untidar adalah Universitas berbasis riset dalam mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, dan kewirausahaan. Misi Untidar mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni berdasarkan pendekatan riset; melaksanakan tridharma perguruan tinggi berdasarkan pendekatan riset. Pengabdian ini mendukung mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan sebagai pelaksanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Memberikan keterampilan kepada guru cara menggunakan teknologi pendukung pembelajaran. Hasilnya guru dapat mempraktekkan pembelajaran aktif pada proses pembelajaran dan dapat menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung pembelajaran baik pembelajaran tatap muka atau jarak jauh.

Abstract

Indonesia menduduki posisi terendah dari 79 negara peserta PISA tahun 2018. Rendahnya hasil asesmen PISA di Indonesia disebabkan oleh banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kompetensi siswa. Kajian yang dilakukan PISA 2018 melalui angket siswa dan angket sekolah menunjukkan beberapa faktor sebagai berikut: faktor internal (misalnya: ketangguhan/daya tahan, sifat kompetitif, motivasi diri dalam belajar, dan lain sebagainya), faktor eksternal (misalnya, lingkungan belajar yang baik di sekolah atau di rumah, praktik mengajar yang dilakukan guru, serta kelengkapan sarana belajar, dan lain sebagainya). Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji alternatif solusi dalam mengatasi rendahnya hasil asesmen PISA bagi Indonesia melalui pembenahan sekolah dengan mengembangkan model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis lesson study for learning community dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori ZPD Vygotsky dan Scaffolding Brunner. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Studi pustaka dilakukan untuk memperkuat permasalahan yang diteliti dan menjadi dasar dalam memberikan berbagai argumentasi mengenai reformasi sekolah melalui pengembangan model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC). Sumber penelitian yang digunakan meliputi jurnal, buku, artikel, laporan penelitian, dan sebagainya yang terkait dengan model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa salah satu rendahnya hasil asesmen PISA untuk Indonesia dapat diatasi dengan melakukan upaya reformasi sekolah melalui pengembangan model pembelajaran kolaboratif Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLS).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' attitude aspects after taking project-based Citizenship Education courses. Citizenship Education aims to form good citizens and have ideal young citizen skills. As a form of improving the skills of young citizens with education in a formal environment, it has a greater impact on the internalization of values. This study uses a quasi-experimental research type (quasi-experimental design). This study uses a quasi-experimental design without a control or comparison class. The experimental design used is one group pre-test-post-test. The results of the study show that project-based learning can improve attitudes towards Tidar values. These values are in the form of tough, integrative, dedicated, active, and responsive values. Students' responses to project-based learning are easy and they really like the learning that is carried out. However, the improvement in attitudes towards Tidar values has not been maximized in all indicators, especially in tough and active values. In order to be able to increase all values to the maximum, a more comprehensive project learning evaluation needs to be carried out.
