Abstract

The background of this research is for the information needs of class XII students of SMAN 1 Peranap which must be met by the library, the lack of collections available at SMAN 1 Peranap, the lack of fulfillment of information needs by the library of SMAN 1 Peranap. The research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive research methods. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive methods by compiling and grouping data. Furthermore, the data is arranged according to the group of aspects studied. The research instrument used by the researcher was observation and questionnaires. The results showed that the availability of collections in the library of SMAN 1 Peranap was still quite relevant. Most of the users stated that the library of SMAN 1 Peranap needed to add or improve the collection or library language to suit the information needs of users or class XII students. The facilities and infrastructure provided by the library of SMAN 1 Peranap have supported the teaching and learning process activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pola sitasi, karakteristik literatur, dan pola kepengarangan dalam artikel Jurnal Voteteknika dari tahun 2020-2022, serta tingkat ketersediaan koleksi teknologi informasi dan elektronika yang disitasi dalam artikel tersebut di perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan populasi 162 artikel dan sampel 62 artikel yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi menggunakan formulir data sitasi, dan dianalisis dengan rumus persentase serta dikriteria dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 451 sitasi mengenai teknologi informasi dan elektronika, dengan jenis koleksi jurnal yang paling sering disitasi (64,3%). Buku yang paling sering disitasi adalah "Media Pembelajaran" (7,7%), dan Jurnal Voteteknika adalah jurnal yang paling banyak disitasi dengan 38 sitasi (21%). Literatur yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2018 paling sering disitasi (16,6%), dan umur paruh hidup literatur yang disitasi adalah 5 tahun. Bahasa Indonesia adalah bahasa yang palingsering disitasi (85%), dan terdapat 714 pengarang yang disitasi dalam artikel-artikel tersebut, dengan Riki Mukhaiyar sebagai pengarang yang paling sering disitasi (6,7%). Namun, ketersediaan koleksi teknologi informasi dan elektronika di perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang berdasarkan sitasi dalam artikel Jurnal Voteteknika dari tahun 2020-2022 sangat rendah, hanya 29 dari 308 koleksi (9,4%) yang tersedia, dan 279 koleksi (90,6%) lainnya tidak tersedia.

Abstract

This research aims to describe efforts to preserve knowledge of healing mantras as a tradition in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach. The method used is a descriptive research method. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Research data was obtained from interviews with owners of knowledge about healing spells. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation techniques. The research results can be concluded as follows. First, the selection process begins by selecting where knowledge about healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan will be extracted and what type of knowledge about healing spells will be preserved. It was found that three informants still had a lot of knowledge about healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. From the three informants, they obtained 25 knowledge of healing spells and after selection they obtained 19 types of healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Second, the storage process of storing knowledge of healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan will be stored in book form. The knowledge of treatment spells that have been selected will later be recorded, which is useful for maintaining this knowledge so that it does not just disappear. Third, actualization is the final process of preserving knowledge of healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, where after this knowledge is recorded, the book will be given back to the owner of the knowledge so that it can be used for the process of transferring knowledge regarding healing spells in Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the target accuracy of the reading stall program at TBM Tanah Ombak; (2) the socialization of the reading stall program at TBM Tanah Ombak; (3) the objectives of the reading stall program at TBM Tanah Ombak; (4) the monitoring of the reading stall program at TBM Tanah Ombak; (5) children's reading interest in the Purus area of Padang City; (6) the effectiveness of the reading stall at TBM Tanah Ombak on children's reading interest in the Purus area of Padang City. The sample in this study consisted of 100 children. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. Based on the research results, it was found that: (1) the target accuracy of the reading stall program at TBM Tanah Ombak is in the excellent category with an average score of 3.67, indicating that children's reading interest increased with the presence of the Tanah Ombak reading stall; (2) the socialization of the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall program is in the good category with an average score of 3.14, which can be seen from the number of children coming to the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall; (3) the objectives of the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall program are in the excellent category with an average score of 3.57, indicating that the program's benefits are felt by the children; (4) the monitoring of the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall program is in the good category with an average score of 3.20, showing that the program has achieved its set goals and is still ongoing; (5) children's reading interest in the Purus area of Padang City is in the excellent category with the presence of the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall, with an average score of 3.60, which is evident from the number of children who enjoy reading and regularly visit the reading stall to participate in literacy activities; (6) the effectiveness of the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall on children's reading interest in the Purus area of Padang City is in the excellent category with an average score of 3.40, indicating that the Tanah Ombak Reading Stall is effective in increasing children's reading interest in the Purus area of Padang City.

Abstract

A communication information technology system, SLiMS is an application for library management. However, in the implementation of SLiMS, there are still issues such as missing collections on shelves, server downtimes, some patrons not knowing how to use SLiMS, and limited promotion of SLiMS usage. The objective of this research is to evaluate the implementation of SLiMS using the HOT Fit model. This study employs a quantitative research method with a descriptive approach. The research sample consists of 100 library patrons, and data were collected through questionnaire distribution to respondents who met the research criteria. Based on the data obtained, the research findings indicate the following: The implementation of the SLiMS automation system at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Library in the human (people) indicator is categorized as very high, falling within the interval scale of 3.26 – 4. The implementation of the SLiMS automation system at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Library in the organization indicator is categorized as high, falling within the interval scale of 2.6 – 3.25. The implementation of the SLiMS automation system at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Library in the technology indicator is categorized as high, falling within the interval scale of 2.6 – 3.25. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the SLiMS automation system at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Library is considered good.

Abstract

UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Andalas menerapkan layanan unggah mandiri pada layanan front office pada laman e-skripsi sebagai salah satu syarat untuk melaksanakan wisuda bagi mahasiswa semester akhir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pengunggahan tugas akhir dan menganalisis implementasinya di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Andalas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, pengamatan, dan pemanfaatan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SOP pengunggahan tugas akhir di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Andalas telah mencakup komponen-komponen penting seperti prosedur pengarsipan mandiri, standar format dokumen, mekanisme verifikasi, dan sistem distribusi karya ilmiah. Namun dalam implementasinya, masih ditemukan kendala berupa ketidaksesuaian format pengisian data oleh mahasiswa dengan standar yang ditetapkan, yang tercermin dari data tahun 2024 dimana 1.842 dari 6.271 mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan dalam pengisian e-skripsi. Diperlukan peningkatan edukasi dan sistem monitoring yang lebih efektif untuk memastikan implementasi SOP berjalan optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the physical and non-physical transformation carried out by the State University of Padang (UNP) Library in order to support the university towards world-class university status. The background of this study is that there are some gaps in the contribution of the UNP Library to the vision. The research method used is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the UNP Library has carried out various physical and non-physical transformations to improve the quality of services to its users, which significantly contributes to the achievement of State University of Padang's vision of becoming a world-class university. However, there are still some aspects that need to be developed further so that this library can fully meet the indicators as a world-class library.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a special library at the Padang District Court Class 1A based on the National Standard for Special Libraries Number 7 of 2022. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with 3 (three) informants selected through purposive sampling. The data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation. Data validation was carried out by triangulating techniques, by equating the research results obtained based on 3 (three) different data collection techniques which were then analysed through 3 (three) stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of a special library in the Class 1A Padang District Court Library has not fully complied with the 6 (six) aspects in the National Standard for Special Libraries Number 7 of 2022. Starting from library collections, facilities and infrastructure, library services, library staff, library organisation, and library management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaataan Gemini AI sebagai sarana pendukung literasi media, literasi visual, dan literasi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Informan pada penelitian ini yaitu 12 orang mahasiswa aktif Departemen Ilmu Informasi dan perpustakaan angkatan 2021-2024. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan Gemini AI sebagai sarana pendukung literasi informasi bagi mahasiswa Departemen Ilmu Informasi dan Perpustakaan secara umum sangat membantu proses literasi informasi, baik itu literasi media, literasi visual, dan literasi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  (1) mendeskripsikan persepsi pemustaka terhadap kinerja petugas dalam melayani di UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang menggunakan metode LibQUAL+™. (2) mendeskripsikan persepsi pemustaka terhadap kemudahan akses dan kelengkapan koleksi di UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang menggunakan metode LibQUAL+™. (3) mendeskripsikan persepsi pemustaka terhadap kenyamanan dan kondisi fisik fasilitas perpustakaan di UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang menggunakan metode LibQUAL+™. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah pengunjung UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang yang berjumlah 220.587 pengunjung. Sementara itu, diperoleh sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang responden. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan berdasarkan teknik probability sampling. Data dari penelitian ini diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner/angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan pada ketiga dimensi metode LibQUAL+™ sebagai berikut: (1) dimensi Affect of Service (Kinerja Petugas Dalam Melayani) pemustaka merasa cukup puas dengan Adequency Gap (AG) dimensi bernilai positif dengan skor 0,20. Namun, nilai Superiority Gap (SG) pada dimensi ini tetap negatif yaitu sebesar -0,42. (2) dimensi Information Control (Kemudahan Akses dan Kelengkapan Koleksi) pemustaka merasa cukup puas dengan Adequency Gap (AG) dimensi bernilai positif dengan skor 0,12. Namun, nilai Superiority Gap (SG) pada dimensi ini tetap negatif yaitu sebesar -0,52. (3) dimensi Library as Place (Sarana dan Prasarana Perpustakaan) pemustaka merasa cukup puas dengan Adequency Gap (AG) dimensi bernilai positif dengan skor 0,09. Namun, nilai Superiority Gap (SG) pada dimensi ini tetap negatif yaitu sebesar -0,37. Secara keseluruhan pemustaka merasa cukup puas terhadap kualitas layanan UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang dilihat dari nilai AG yang positif namun berada pada zona toleransi, yaitu layanan dinilai sudah baik, melampaui batas harapan minimum pemustaka, namun belum melewati harapan ideal layanan yang diinginkan pemustaka.
