Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has had a substantial impact on the field of education, particularly in the strategies used by educators to deliver material in the classroom. This research aims to analyze and explain how interactive animation-based videos are used in news text learning for 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Galis. The method applied is descriptive qualitative. data collection techniques thru observation and interviews at that school. Data sources include eleventh-grade students, Indonesian language teachers, and journal and book references. The research results show that the use of interactive animated video media is very effective in increasing students' enthusiasm and learning outcomes. This is because the teacher implemented several steps to maximize the use of this media in learning activities. The use of interactive animated videos in teaching news text also indirectly contributes to strengthening students' listening, speaking, and writing abilities. Therefore, this medium has a significant positive impact on learning news text among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Galis.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of the digital media Flipgrid in improving students' speaking skills in Indonesian language learning, specifically for 11th-grade students at SMA Mambaul Ulum. Flipgrid is a video-based learning media that allows students to record and upload their own videos, as well as interactively respond to each other. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach. The research results show that the use of Flipgrid not only enhances fluency and clarity in speaking but also encourages students' confidence, motivation, and active participation. In addition, interaction between teachers and students, as well as among students, increased thanks to the comment and discussion features in the application. Flipgrid also encourages students' creativity in creating video content. Thus, this media has proven to be effective and relevant for application in 21st-century learning to develop speaking skills in a more engaging, flexible, and meaningful way.Pembelajaran berbicara seringkali mengalami kendala dalam hal partisipasi aktif dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media Flipgrid dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas XI SMA Mambaul Ulum. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur terhadap berbagai penelitian sebelumnya. Data dianalisis dari temuan empiris yang telah dipublikasikan terkait implementasi Flipgrid dalam pembelajaran berbasis video. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Flipgrid meningkatkan kefasihan, kejelasan berbicara, serta rasa percaya diri dan motivasi siswa. Interaksi antara guru dan siswa juga meningkat melalui fitur komentar dan umpan balik yang disediakan platform ini. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih kreatif dan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, Flipgrid terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran abad ke-21 dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbicara.

Abstract

This study examines the use of ExpoTube as a YouTube-based learning media in the process of teaching writing exposition texts to grade XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Pademawu. The background of this study is the low interest and ability of students in writing exposition texts systematically, logically, and persuasively. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of ExpoTube in improving exposition text writing skills and to reveal students' responses to the media. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. The subjects of the study were grade XII students who were selected purposively. The research instruments included an exposition text writing test and a questionnaire to determine students' responses. The results showed a significant increase in the ability to write exposition texts after learning using ExpoTube, indicated by an increase in the average posttest score compared to the pretest. In addition, the majority of students gave a positive response to the use of ExpoTube because it was considered interesting, easy to access, and helped understand the structure and linguistic characteristics of exposition texts. Thus, it can be concluded that ExpoTube is an effective and innovative learning media to improve the ability to write exposition texts at the high school level.Penelitian ini meneliti penggunaan ExpoTube sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis YouTube dalam proses pengajaran menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 1 Pademawu. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat dan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi secara sistematis, logis, dan persuasif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggetahui efektivitas ExpoTube dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi serta mengungkap tanggapan siswa terhadap media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuatitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental jenis one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XII yang dipilih secara purposif. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahapan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan mengacu pada model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Data kemudian ditelaah secara tematik guna mengidentifikasi pola-pola peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi serta kecenderungan tanggapan siswa terhadap pemanfaatan ExpoTube. Instrumen penelitian mencakup tes menulis teks eksposisi dan angket untuk mengetahui respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi setelah pembelajaran menggunakan ExpoTube, ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata posttest dibandingkan dengan pretest. Selain itu, mayoritas siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan ExpoTube karena dinilai menarik, mudah diakses, dan membantu memahami struktur serta ciri kebahasaan teks eksposisi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ExpoTube merupakan media pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi di jenjang SMA.
