Abstract

Abstract

National Santri Day is an important moment to commemorate the role of santri (Islamic boarding school students) in preserving and developing religious, cultural, and national values. One way to strengthen the character of santri is through activities that support the formation of good personality traits, one of which is theater arts. This study aims to explore the role of theater arts in shaping and honing the character of santri, with a focus on the implementation of theater training during National Santri Day celebrations. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study of several pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) that conducted theater training during National Santri Day. Data were collected through observations, interviews with participants and pesantren administrators, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that theater arts can serve as an effective medium for developing santri character traits such as discipline, teamwork, self-confidence, empathy, and courage. Through role-playing, improvisation, and self-expression, santri gain a deeper understanding of the values taught in pesantren and apply them in their daily lives. Furthermore, theater arts activities provide opportunities for santri to explore their talents and potential, ultimately enriching their spiritual and social experiences. This study concludes that theater training is a strategic effort to strengthen the character of santri in the modern era and can serve as an alternative character education activity that is both enjoyable and beneficial.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the operational performance of a 7000-liter fiberglass biodigester that was revitalized and modified at the Power and Agricultural Machinery Laboratory, Faculty of Food Technology and Agroindustry, University of Mataram. The fiberglass biodigester was developed as an alternative to conventional concrete biodigesters, which are prone to structural damage and exhibit limited operational efficiency, particularly in earthquake-prone regions. The research was conducted as an observational case study through performance monitoring of the biodigester during 40 days of continuous operation following system repair and modification. Cow manure was used as the substrate, mixed with water at a 1:2 ratio (by volume). The monitored parameters included fermentation temperature, substrate pH, gas pressure, daily biogas volume, gas composition, and combustion quality. The results showed that the biodigester operated stably at temperatures ranging from 27 to 31 °C and near-neutral pH conditions, with a maximum daily biogas production of 4.43 m³/day and an average of 1.73 m³/day throughout the monitoring period. The methane content ranged from 52 to 61%, while hydrogen sulfide concentration was reduced to approximately 150 ppm after gas purification, indicating that the biogas was suitable for combustion with a heating value of up to 21 MJ/m³. These findings demonstrate that the fiberglass biodigester exhibits good operational performance and has strong potential for application as a renewable energy system at campus and community scales, supporting sustainable livestock waste management.

Abstract

Since language is as old as man, interest in it is also ancient. Scientists have occupied their thinking for centuries in search of the origin of the human language and what is the oldest language in the world. All languages originate from one source (the mother tongue). And the language used in Paradise, and how did the words follow from the beginning. Many questions have gone through experiences and debates that date back nearly three thousand years, and no one has reached a satisfactory answer to these vexed questions about the origin of language. Successive generations began asking the same questions without running a specific solution. This research will present what is related to language history in the West and the East. We will continue to discuss the emergence of modern linguistics, research methods in contemporary linguistics, and finally, what will be discussed. They concern theoretical and applied linguistics. This research aims to know the history of the modern language, its origins, trends in teaching the Arabic language, and the method used to prepare this proposal to become a scientific work that meets the existing standards and can be calculated. The author uses the library research methodology, which is an attempt to obtain data from the library.
