Abstract

The village of Mlandingan Kulon is situated near the coast, holding significant potential in the field of fisheries. Many of its inhabitants work as fishermen, and various types of fish caught by these fishermen are sold at the local market of Mlandingan Kulon Village. Among the high-quality fish catches, there is tuna. Tuna fish is a highly meaningful source of protein as it contains more than 20% protein. Protein plays a crucial role in the formation of body tissues such as muscles, bones, skin, and other organs, especially in toddlers. Nuggets have a relatively long shelf life when stored in cold or frozen conditions. Fish nuggets possess numerous advantages, including being a nutritious and valuable food, having a soft texture, a variety of flavors, and being suitable for various ages. Consequently, a campaign is being conducted to introduce the Nugget Tuna (GETTA) product to the mothers at the integrated health post of Mlandingan Kulon Village. The purpose of this campaign is to introduce processed tuna fish in the form of nuggets as Supplementary Feeding (PMT) for toddlers. These tuna fish nuggets contain beneficial nutritional content for toddler health and can help improve their nutritional status. The campaign is conducted through posters explaining the composition, benefits, and process of making tuna fish nuggets. Subsequently, a video is shown that illustrates the steps of making Nugget Tuna (GETTA). The result of this campaign is an enhancement of knowledge among the mothers at the integrated health post regarding the importance of providing Supplementary Feeding (PMT) to toddlers.

Abstract

Ledokombo Village is one of the villages in the eastern part of Jember Regency, East Java Province. This village is within the administrative area of Ledokombo District. The area of Ledokombo Village is bordered by the areas of neighboring villages, such as Sukogidri Village, Ledokombo District, and Cumedak Village, Sumberjambe District. One of the elements of society that drives the economy is MSMEs in Ledokombo Village. The MSME players in Ledokombo Village are the "Banana Chips" MSME, which is committed to having a productive business but does not yet have a business network and knowledge about optimizing product marketing and has experienced a decline in orders from consumers. This is because the product marketing system is still conventional. The location of the service was Ledokombo Village, Jember Regency. The method of implementing the service uses the survey, FGD, socialization, training, and mentoring methods for Banana Chips MSMEs. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out appropriate empowerment efforts through counseling and training in optimizing business by utilizing marketplaces and social media. The results of the service show that the program that has been implemented has been well adopted by the Banana Chips MSMEs in Ledokombo Village. This is demonstrated by the packaging of products sold to consumers using packaging that has been recommended by the service implementation team. Improved service to consumers is based on innovative, creative principles and what is needed by the market.

Abstract

In line with this national rice productivity improvement strategy, the Situbondo Regency Government in East Java Province is actively participating in initiating the development of new superior rice varieties. In early 2023, Situbondo Regency released a new superior rice variety, the Bk Situbondo 01 Agritan Variety. This new rice variety was developed for the IP 400 program. In 2024, the cultivation of this superior rice variety, Bk Situbondo 01 Agritan, began in several villages, one of which was in Battal Village, Panji District, primarily by the Joyo Mulyo 3 Farmers Group. In this regard, it is deemed necessary to conduct research to determine the income and financial efficiency of the superior rice variety Bk Situbondo 01 Agritan. The results of the study indicate that financially the income is recorded as profitable and the farming is efficient. Financially, if it is calculated that there is a decrease in the amount of production and a decrease in production prices of up to 15%, as well as an increase in variable costs of up to 15%, assuming that other factors are considered constant, the new superior rice variety farming business Bk Situbondo 01 Agritan, recorded that the income is still profitable and the farming business is still efficient. It can also be seen that the factors: (a) decrease in the amount (quantity) of production, and (b) decrease in production prices, are relatively more sensitive in responding to the decrease in the level of income and efficiency of the farming business, when compared to the factor: (c) increase in variable costs of the farming business.
