Abstract

New voters are young people who are exercising their right to vote for the first time, generally consisting of students, college students or voters aged 17-21 years. Based on observations, community participation in Wibawamulya Village towards the political process is very low. Thus, the author is interested in conducting this program, which aims to educate and provide an understanding of the importance of their involvement in the political process, as well as providing an understanding of how to make rational choices, because their participation and votes are not just rights, but also obligations that are certainly able to bring changes in the future to create a better government. This program is implemented through socialization by means of seminars or discussions, with the hope of providing understanding to beginners about the importance of voting rights and how to choose wisely. Based on the evaluation results, if seen from the previous data after the socialization of community service activities, it has succeeded in increasing the understanding and interest of novice voters to participate more in the political process, one of which is in the upcoming 2024 Pilkada process.

Abstract

Karangmulya Village, located in Bojongmangu District, faces significant challenges in administrative governance, impacting the quality of public services and community development. The primary issues identified include a lack of skilled human resources in village administration, low community participation in decision-making processes, and an unstructured and inefficient archival management system. This community engagement program employs observation, interviews, and socialization methods to analyze these challenges and formulate applicable solutions. Through socialization sessions involving expert speakers, it was found that enhancing the capacity of village officials through continuous training is essential to improving administrative efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the implementation of a more modern and structured archival management system is necessary to ensure transparency and ease of access to administrative data. Another key focus is the strategy to increase community participation through more inclusive and collaborative approaches, enabling residents to play an active role in village development. The results of this initiative indicate that targeted training and socialization efforts significantly enhance the administrative skills of village officials while also fostering greater community involvement in governance. By implementing these strategic measures, it is expected that the administrative governance of Karangmulya Village can be optimized, leading to improved public services and contributing to overall community welfare.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKNT) telah lama menjadi bagian integral dari sistem pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia, memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan akademis mereka dalam konteks dunia nyata sambil memberikan manfaat langsung kepada masyarakat setempat. Dalam upaya meningkatkan dampak positif KKN, Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah IV (LLDIKTI IV) terus mengembangkan pendekatan inovatif, salah satunya adalah program pendampingan KKN tematik. Pada tahun 2023, desa Karang Segar, yang terletak di bawah yurisdiksi LLDIKTI IV, dipilih sebagai lokasi pelaksanaan KKN tematik. Tujuan utama dari KKN tematik ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat di Desa Karang Segar, sambil memberikan pengalaman berharga bagi mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam program ini. Paper ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan lebih mendalam tentang pendamingan KKN tematik yang dilaksanakan di Desa Karang Segar pada tahun 2023.

Abstract

General elections are a cornerstone of democracy in Indonesia, providing space for public participation in determining leadership and policy direction. In the 2024 Legislative Election in Bekasi City, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) secured the highest number of seats in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), positioning itself as a key actor in the local political contest. This study aims to analyze PKS’s winning strategy in Electoral District 5 of Bekasi City (Pondok Gede and Bekasi Barat) using Peter Schroder’s political strategy model, which distinguishes between defensive strategies (maintaining the voter base) and offensive strategies (expanding voter support). The research employed a qualitative method, collecting data through in-depth interviews and observations with party cadres and community leaders. The findings reveal that defensively, PKS consolidated its loyal base through cadre networks, local leaders’ engagement, and consistent community service programs. Offensively, PKS reached out to young voters, penetrated non-loyal communities, and utilized social media as an integrated tool for political communication. The combination of these strategies proved effective in sustaining PKS’s electoral support while simultaneously expanding public sympathy, although challenges such as voter pragmatism and inter-party competition remain significant.

Abstract

In line with the principles of tajwid science, the Ummi method is a technique for teaching reading the Koran that directly applies tartil reading.  In actual use, the volume of this method varies depending on the child's age.  Ummi's method begins with the study of the Koran and requires six volumes for teenagers and only three volumes for adults.  Explaining how the Ummi technique is applied in learning the Qur'an and assessing its impact on the ability to read the Qur'an are the two main objectives of this approach. Research findings show that Ummi's approach to learning the Al-Qur'an is carried out methodically and in accordance with the basic competencies and indicators that have been identified.  The Classical Reading and Listening Approach, which provides benefits in presenting content, is the delivery method used.  Improvements in children's cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills show these benefits.  Apart from that, Ummi's approach also has a huge impact in improving a person's ability to read the Al-Quran.  The approach used in the learning process has a significant influence on the success or failure of education. Children who follow the correct approach can read the Koran according to the norms of tajwid (tartil), feel happy and enthusiastic about learning, read clearly, differentiate between short and long readings, and understand the word of Allah.  lafadz (tafkhim and tarqiq), correct your own mistakes, and memorize juz 30 to juz 19 or even more than two juz.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in national economic growth, yet they continue to face various challenges, particularly in marketing and digital accessibility. One strategic effort to enhance MSME competitiveness is the optimization of Google Maps as a digitalization tool to expand market reach and improve business visibility. This community service program was implemented in Burangkeng Village with the objective of supporting MSMEs in the digitalization process by creating and optimizing their business locations on Google Maps. The program employed a door-to-door approach, in which students conducted direct socialization and training for MSME owners on how to register their businesses on Google My Business, update business information, and utilize Google Maps features to attract potential customers. The primary challenges encountered included limited technological knowledge among MSME owners and restricted internet access in certain areas. To address these issues, intensive mentoring and direct consultations were provided, enabling business owners to operate digital features independently. The outcomes of this program indicate improved MSME accessibility, expanded market reach, and enhanced adaptability of business owners to technological advancements. This program is expected to contribute to sustainable business development and strengthen local economic resilience.

Abstract

Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengeluarkan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) sebagai implementasi dari berbagai peraturan tentang pendidikan tinggi dalam rangka peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dan lulusan pendidikan tinggi. Salah satu kegiatannya adalah program Kampus Mengajar. Program ini merupakan kegiatan asistensi mengajar untuk memberdayakan mahasiswa dalam membantu proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar yang masuk ke dalam kategori 3T (Terdepan, Terpencil dan Tertinggal). Sekolah dasar yang menjadi sasaran kegiatan adalah SD Negeri 3 Cidahu yang berlokasi di Kp. Legoknyenang Desa Cidahu Kecamatan Cidahu Kabupaten Sukabumi. Pada program ini, mahasiswa yang terlibat memiliki tanggung jawab dalam membantu pihak sekolah terhadap proses mengajar, membantu adaptasi teknologi serta membantu administrasi. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga berperan dalam memperbaiki karakter siswa dan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Namun, kondisi pandemi Covid-19 memunculkan tantangan tersendiri dalam pelaksanaannya. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa melakukan sejumlah aktivitas, seperti melakukan pembelajaran dari rumah ke rumah, olahraga bersama, pelatihan ujian menggunakan computer, serta membuka perpustakaan sekolah. Pada akhirnya, mahasiswa mampu menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa serta menunjukan kontribusi nyata perguruan tinggi dan mahasiswa dalam pembangunan nasional. Kata kunci: Kampus Mengajar, Siswa SD, Covid-19 The Ministry of Education and Culture issued the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) policy as the implementation of various regulations on higher education to improve the quality of learning and higher education graduates. One of the activities is the Teaching Campus program. This program is a teaching assistance activity to empower students in helping the learning process in elementary schools that fall into the 3T category (Front, Remote, and Disadvantaged). The primary school that is the target of the activity is SD Negeri 3 Cidahu, which is located in Kp. Legoknyenang Cidahu Village, Cidahu District, Sukabumi Regency. In this program, the students involved have the responsibility to assist the school in the teaching process, assist in adapting technology, and assist with administration. In addition, students also play a role in improving student character and increasing student interest in learning. However, the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic poses challenges in its implementation. Therefore, students carry out several activities, such as doing house-to-house learning, doing sports together, training for exams using computers, and opening the school library. In the end, students can grow students learning motivation and show the real contribution of universities and students in national development. Abstract

Technology is a scientific method for achieving practical goals; it is the entire means of providing the goods necessary for the continuity and comfort of human life. Previously, electronic technology was only used as a communication tool, but now the development of electronic technology has been used more to assist teachers in delivering learning. Electronic technology as a medium in learning carried out by teachers greatly facilitates teachers in making media that is more attractive to elementary school students. The colorful displays and animations that are displayed are very diverse to make students more focused on learning. Based on the results of his observations with colleagues from the KKN team in Kertaja Village, Kec. Pebayuran found that one of the problems faced by teachers was the lack of use of electronic technology; teachers methods of conveying learning were limited to books, even though the current development of electronic technology was growing rapidly. Therefore, the more students are presented with various media and supporting infrastructure, the more likely it is that educational values can be absorbed and digested.

Abstract

Nagasari Village, Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency, has many MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) that are growing and developing, but most of them have not utilized technology optimally. One of the main challenges is the lack of a clear business identity, such as a Business Identification Number (NIB), which limits local market access and development opportunities. This community service program aims to improve the understanding and ability of MSME actors in registering NIB digitally, so that they can strengthen their business identity. The method used is direct training through socialization sessions, interactive discussions, and technical assistance to MSME actors. The results of the community service show that MSME actors in Nagasari Village are able to understand the importance of NIB and have successfully implemented the online registration process. This program provides real benefits in the form of wider access to business legality, increased competitiveness, and MSME readiness to face technology-based markets.

Abstract

One of the efforts that teachers can undertake to strengthen their professionalism as educators is writing scientific papers and teaching materials. This study aims to analyze knowledge and scientific performance competency in designing and carrying out Classroom Action Research of the teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 8, Batu City. This study was descriptive study. This study was conducted from July to November 2022. The population and samples of this study were the teachers of Batu City Middle Schools. The procedures of this study encompassed preparation and research implementation. The number of respondents was 30 teachers. Interviews and questionnaires were used as the data collection procedures of this study. The knowledge aspects studied from the teacher's scientific performance competence were formulating appropriate research problems, developing a literature study framework, compiling a conceptual framework, and analyzing research results data. The data analysis technique used in this study was a descriptive-analytic by describing the findings of the study. The results of this study indicate that: that experience in the form of undergraduate education background is higher (66.76%) than master (33.38%); being a teacher for less than 15 years or less (33.00%), over 15 years is 67.00%; experience doing research is 83.00% and performance competency knowledge in the field of scientific work of Batu City Middle School teachers is in the sufficient and good categories. This study recommends that correlation analysis (correlation regression) is required between the professionalism aspect, particularly in terms of teacher scientific field performance, and assistance is needed to improve teachers’ competencies thru collaborative academic activities between lecturers and teachers in schools; one of the activities is thru a Lecturer Partnership Program.
