Abstract

Artikel ini mendiskusikan representasi kepemimpinan dalam dua naskah, Nagara Krtagama (1365) dan Babad Tanah Jawi (1788). Saya berargumen bahwa Negara Krtagama merepresentasikan kepemimpinan Kerajaan Majapahit, sedangkan Babad Tanah Jawi merepresentasikan kepemimpinan Kesultanan Demak, Mataram, dan Pajang. Pertimbangan interdisipliner —melibatkan kajian filsafat, psikologi, sastra, dan budaya— membantu saya untuk memformulasikan anggitan kepemimpinan pascakolonial dalam tubuh pemerintah Indonesia yang masih memobilisasi konsep kepemimpinan prakolonial. Dengan menggunakan metode semiotika dan heuristik, saya menemukan lima elemen kepemimpinan prakolonial, yakni: (1) sumber legitimasi; (2) nilai bersama sebagai norma; (3) media komunikasi; (4) strategi kepemimpinan; dan, (5) pemecahan masalah. Saya menyimpulkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan lampau yang digunakan dalam kepemimpinan masa kini merupakan indikasi simptomatik kepemimpinan prakolonial Mataram. Karakteristiknya adalah manipulasi legitimasi, kurangnya kesadaran moral, dan berdasarkan permainan kuasa. Kata kunci: Nagara Krtagama, Babad Tanah Jawi, kepemimpinan prakolonial

Abstract

The nature of paper shows that Ecocriticism is not popular issue in the modern Indonesian criticism. Hence, it is very crucial to develop the Indonesian criticism based on the ecological perspective because nowday that the term development is synonym with exploiting the nature. The paper is to find out the ecological issue in the modern indonesian literary, especially in fiction prose and poems publised for late ten years. To analyze the work, researcher is used semiotic method and hermeneutic design of research as an approach. Semiotic will investigate the symbol behind the words and hermeneutic will translated the symbol to actual message. Based on the analysis, the ecological theme in the modern Indonesian literary is crucial interpretation. The meaning appeared in the work  has given the imporant values of increasing care of nature, human kind, and harmonization. For recomentation, in the future researcher should have interpretate the work based on the ecocriticism to increase meaning of human and nature.

Abstract

     Salinity is a major abiotic stress that can induce ethylene synthesis beyond the normal limits as plants response to stress and hence reduces crop productivity. The 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylase deaminase (ACCD)-producing bacteria can reduce excessive ethylene synthesis by taking ACC (ethylene precursor) as a nitrogen source. This study showed the possibility of using endophytic bacteria in order to reduce the undesirable effects of salinity. Strain Pseudomonas putida PIR3C and Roultella terrigena PCM8 exhibited promising performance for promoting the growth of plant under salinity stress conditions. The results showed that bacterial inoculation was effective even in the presence of higher salinity levels. Strain P. putida PIR3C was the most efficient strain compared to the other strains and significantly increased shoot length, root length, dry weight, germination percentage, and reduced stem diameter. The role of ACCD in reducing ethylene production under salinity stress conditions was also studied by measuring the evolution of ethylene in vitro by soybean seeds treated with some ACCD bacterial strain. The maximum ethylene lowering capacity was observed in R. terrigena PCM8, the strain reduced ethylene production from 622.81 nmol.g-1(control) to 352.78 nmol.g-1 (43% reduction). The production of α-ketobutyrate, chlorophyll content and germination percentage from P. putida PIR3C was higher than other strains. The results suggested that strain P. putida PIR3C and R. terrigena PCM8 can be employed for salinity tolerance in soybean seedlings and may have better prospects for an amelioration of stress condition.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengungkapkan pengaruh prosedur penerjemahan terhadap keakuratan terjemahan Bahasa Inggris novel Sitti Nurbaya. Novel ini sendiri merupakan sebuah karya sastra lama yang memuat potret penjajahan Belanda sehingga novel ini tentunya sarat akan Ideologi. Lebih lanjut Ideologi yang akan coba dianalisis adalah penggalan-penggalan teks yang memuat Klasifikasi Ideologi Budaya oleh Yasnur Asri yang ada dalam novel tersebut. Klasifikasi tersebut tidak ada bedanya dengan dua kelompok besar ideologi kolonialisme dan postkolonialisme hanya saja ini merupakan penjabaran yang lebih spesifik tentang kedua kubu ideologi tersebut. Belanda di sini hadir sebagai potret wajah dari kolonial dan tokoh-tokoh lainnya yang pro belanda dan pihak-pihak yang kontra maka merupakan potret dari poskolonialisme. Hasil dari penelitian ini hanya memasukkan 5 dari 6 jenis klasifikasi ideologi kultural yang dinyatakan Yasnur Asri karena salah satu poin tersebut telah terwakilkan dalam poin lainnya. Metode yang diterapkan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengamatan dan pencatatan lalu untuk kemudian dianalisis juga. Untuk Prosedur yang diterapkan dari beberapa sampel data yang dimasukkan menunjukkan prosedur dengan frekuensi paling banyak adalah pergeseran, kesepadanan dan sinonim sementara prosedur dengan frekuensi rendah adalah modulasi, pengurangan dan pemindahan. Keakuratan yang muncul dari hasil penggunaan prosedur-prosedur tersebut menunjukkan mayoritas akurat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggetahui bentuk-bentuk Patologi sosial dalam Novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere Liye. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Data yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah kutipan dan dialog yang mengidentifikasikan bentuk-bentuk patologi sosial dalam Novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu karya Tere Liye yang ditinjau dari sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai refleksi sosial untuk menghadapi masalah sosial salah satunya adalah tentang masalah penyakit masyarakat atau dalam istilah ilmu sosiologi disebut patologi sosial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa bentuk-bentuk patologi sosial dalam Novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu berupa kriminalitas, perjudian, minuman keras, korupsi, dan prostitusi.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the process of assessing Arabic knowledge based on subjective tests at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurus Sunnah. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, where the researcher describes the data as it happens in the field. The data collection techniques used are in the form of direct observation in the field, documentation, and interviews. The results show that the knowledge assessment process using subjective tests at MA Nurus Sunnah has not fully met the ideal assessment criteria, with details: a) Basic competencies and subject indicators have been checked. b) The purpose of the assessment has been determined. c) There is no question grid. d) Scoring guidelines are not written neatly, and only in the form of personal notes. e) Questions are analyzed qualitatively.Keywords: knowledge assessment, subjective test, Arabic.

Abstract

هدف البحث إلى: (1) وصف إعداد اختبار الكفاءة اللغوية لمتعلمي العربية بكتاب العربية بين يديك على ضوء الإطار المرجعي الأوروبي المشترك للغات (CEFR) للمستوى ب1. (2) وصف صلاحية هذا الاختبار. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث استخدم الباحث المنهج التطويري والتجريبي حيث يقوم فيه بإجراء تجربة ودراسة عيّنة تتم بطريقة علمية منظّمة وذلك بتجربة أسئلة اختبار كفاءة اللغة العربية المصممة على ضوء الإطار المرجعي الأوروبي المشترك للغات (CEFR) للمستوى ب1 على تلاميذ معهد بناء مدني ببوغور للصف الثاني عشر للمرحلة الثانوية (العالية بإندونيسيا)، واستخدم الباحث في تحليل البيانات أسلوب التكرار (Frequency) ومعادلة كوبر (Cooper) لحساب نسبة الاتفاق والمنتج-لحظة معامل ارتباط بيرسون لقياس مدى الصدق والثبات لأسئلة الاختبار. وتشير نتائج البحث إلى: (1) أن هناك خمس خطوات لإعداد اختبار الكفاءة اللغوية لمتعلمي العربية بالكتاب العربية بين يديك على ضوء الإطار المرجعي الأروبي المسترك للغات (CEFR) للمستوى ب1، هي: أ) جمع المعلومات المتعلقة بهذا الاختبار، ب) تعيين المدرسة لإجراء التجربة، ج) تصميم أسئلة اختبار كفاءة اللغة العربية مراعاة بصفات الاختبار الجيد ومعايير الإطار المرجعي، د) تحليل البيانات من إجابة الدارسين، ه) عرض أسئلة اختبار كفاءة اللغة العربية في صورتها الأخيرة. (2) مجموع الأسئلة لاختبار الكفاءة اللغوية يعد متوسط الصلاحية للاستخدام إذ إنها بحاجة إلى تعديل كبير في اختبار الاستماع حيث مستوى الصدق فيه 30% وتعديل خفيف في اختبار القراءة حيث مستوى الصدق فيه 50%. The research aimed to: (1) describe the preparation of the language proficiency test for Arabic learners with the book Al-Arabiya Bayna Yadayk by standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for level B1. (2) Describe the validity of this test. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used the research and developmental approach, in which he conducts an experiment and a sample study conducted in an organized scientific manner by testing the Arabic language proficiency test questions designed by standards of the CEFR for level B1 on the students of Islamic Boarding School of Bina Madani in Bogor for the twelfth grade for the senior high school. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the frequency method and the Cooper equation to calculate the percentage of agreement, in addition used Pearson’s product-moment correlation to measure the validity and reliability of test questions. The results of the research indicate: (1) There are five steps to prepare the language proficiency test for Arabic learners with the book Al-Arabiya Bayna Yadayk by standards of the CEFR for level B1, which are: a) Collecting information related to this test, b) Appointing the school to conduct the experiment, c) designing the Arabic language proficiency test questions taking into account the characteristics of a good test and the CEFR standards, d) analyzing the data from the learners’ answers, e) presenting the Arabic language proficiency test questions in their final form. (2) The total number of questions for the linguistic proficiency test is considered moderately valid for use, as it requires major modification in the listening test, where the reliability level is 30%, and slight modification in the reading test, where the reliability level is 50%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) proses penyusunan tes kemampuan bahasa bagi pelajar bahasa arab dengan buku al-arabiyah baina yadaik sesuai standar common europen framework of reference for languages (CEFR) tingkat B1, (2) kelayakan soal-soal pada tes ini. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian penulis menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) sehingga uji coba terhadap sempel penelitian tersebut berjalan baik secara ilmiah, yaitu uji coba soal tes kemampuan bahasa bagi pelajar bahasa arab dengan buku al-arabiyah baina yadaik sesuai standar common europen framework of reference for languages (CEFR) tingkat B1 terhadap siswa kelas 12 SLTA di Pondok Pesantren Bina Madani Bogor. Dalam menganalisa data, penulis menggunakan metode Frequency dan metode Cooper dalam menghitung rata-rata nilai, serta metode Pearson, Korelasi Produk-Momen untuk mengukur validitas dan reliabilitas soal-soal yang telah disusun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada lima tahap dalam proses penyusunan tes kemampuan Bahasa bagi pelajar bahasa arab dengan buku al-arabiyah baina yadaik sesuai standar common europen framework of reference for languages (CEFR) tingkat B1, yaitu: a) pengumpulan data terkait tes ini, b) penentuan instansi pendidikan untuk melakukan uji coba, c) penyusunan soal-soal tes kemampuan bahasa arab sesuai karakteristik soal yang baik dan standar CEFR, d) analisis data dari jawaban peserta ujian uji coba, dan e) menampilkan hasil akhir soal-soal tes kemampaun bahasa arab. (2) seluruh soal-soal tes kemampuan bahasa arab dinyatakan layak dengan level pertengahan sebab mengharuskan adanya revisi pada banyak soal tes istima’ yang nilai ke-validitas-an hanya 30% dan sedikit revisi pada soal tes qira’ah.yang nilai validitasnya baru 50%.

Abstract

Determining existence is the personal duty of a human being. Unfortunately, this notion of self-existence is often 'lost' when associated with women. The patriarchal system has weakened the position of women because they are always seen as domestic creatures and helpless. Existential feminism has contributed to the women's movement to determine their own destinies, one of which is to become empowered women. This study uses a descriptive method using an existentialist feminism approach. As for the source of data from this study, the Korean drama entitled The World of The Married was taken. The writer is interested in studying the drama series The World of The Married because this series presents the main female character who can maintain their existence as an empowered woman in a patriarchal society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning of Mandarin from the perspective of Ferdinand de Saussure's descriptive linguistics in students of Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif NU Lampung. The method used by researchers is a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. The data in this study is in the form of Chinese Language learning in Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif NU Lampung students. Data sources were obtained from students, teachers, and language tutors at Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif NU Lampung. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used phenomenological analysis. The results of this study show that Chinese language learning has a positive impact on students. The positive impact is in the form of increasing Chinese language skills and their involvement in active and fun learning. However, some of the problems encountered in learning Chinese in Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif NU Lampung are the introduction to Chinese characters (Hanzi) and how to write them.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the myth of female beauty in the short story "Bokko-Chan" written by Hoshi Shinichi using a feminist literary criticism approach. This study examines data taken from the story and analyzed using Wolf's (2004) theory. Based on the results of the data analysis, two types of beauty myths were found, namely the beauty myth of outer beauty (young age) and inner beauty (beauty is coldness, a little naive and innocent, non-argumentative, and tough). This beauty myth addresses the ideology of the male author (Hoshi Shinichi), namely the ideology that supports the preservation of male domination or the patriarchal system. The preservation of this domination is done through the creation of the myth of the beauty of a woman so that in the end it will shackle the freedom of women to do what they want, reveal their thoughts, and express their feelings.
