Abstract

The paper is to find out values, world view, and norm orientation in manuscript entitled Jayabaya  (without publising year) by G Rr Ay. Brotodiningrat and Primbon Pusaka Jawa Jangka Jayabaya Pranitiwakya by R Tanojo (without publising year). This study is needed because various research and publishing in the five late year have showed an interest with a history  of social context, viewing, and values.  Method of data collecting is close reading and method analysis is refers the phenomonelogy that stress on the concept of intensionality and extensionality. Intensionality means evidence that is showed by consciousness while extensionality refers to proof of external world. Result of this research is to prove the Javanese cosmology of harmony. It is need to live with concept harmonizing of which there are good relation with the other, environment, and the bigger cosmic in the human existence. Symbol in text of the Jangka Jayabaya, like Herucokro, Kuda Sembarni Hitam, Agama Budi, dan Hidup Harmoni, give a message of how to be a just leader, good norm, and developing a new social order.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the process of assessing Arabic knowledge based on subjective tests at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurus Sunnah. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, where the researcher describes the data as it happens in the field. The data collection techniques used are in the form of direct observation in the field, documentation, and interviews. The results show that the knowledge assessment process using subjective tests at MA Nurus Sunnah has not fully met the ideal assessment criteria, with details: a) Basic competencies and subject indicators have been checked. b) The purpose of the assessment has been determined. c) There is no question grid. d) Scoring guidelines are not written neatly, and only in the form of personal notes. e) Questions are analyzed qualitatively.Keywords: knowledge assessment, subjective test, Arabic.

Abstract

Mengajarkan sastra, dan khususnya puisi, di sekolah sangat penting. Puisi berfungsi sebagai alat bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir, kecerdasan emosional, dan kesadaran mereka akan situasi kemanusiaan, selain menyediakan jalan keluar untuk pemahaman dan kesenangan. Para peneliti berangkat untuk menjawab tiga pertanyaan: (1) bagaimana partisipasi dalam komunitas sastra memengaruhi kemampuan siswa untuk menulis puisi? (2) apa peran kegiatan komunitas dalam kemampuan siswa untuk menulis puisi? (3) apa peran minat sastra siswa dalam kemampuan mereka untuk menulis puisi? Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa (1) skor sering untuk minat sastra adalah 3,87, skor baik untuk keterlibatan komunitas sastra adalah 3,58, dan skor 4,34 untuk keterampilan menulis puisi juga dalam kategori baik. Untuk memastikan bahwa siswa memperoleh keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk menulis puisi, nilai frekuensi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan komunitas sastra yang bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat telah dilaksanakan secara efektif. (2) Berdasarkan berbagai uji statistik, (1) Tendapat 3,87 untuk minat sastra, 3,58 untuk keterlibatan komunitas sastra, dan 4,34 untuk bakat menulis puisi, yang semuanya baik. Untuk memastikan bahwa siswa belajar bagaimana membuat puisi, kegiatan komunitas sastra yang mencoba untuk menarik minat mereka telah terbukti berhasil, menurut nilai frekuensi. (2) Berbagai uji statistik telah menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara minat sastra dan keterampilan menulis puisi, sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh (1) nilai signifikansi 0,017 < 0,05 dan t hitung = -2,552, yang berkontribusi 20,6% pada keterampilan menulis puisi, dan (2) nilai signifikansi 0,029 < 0,05 dan t hitung = 2,313, yang berkontribusi 17,8%. (3) Kemampuan siswa kelas delapan di SMP Siti Aisyah Bukulasa untuk menulis puisi sangat terkait dengan minat mereka dalam sastra dan keterlibatan mereka dalam komunitas sastra. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,02 < 0,05 dan nilai F hitung sebesar 7,612. Selain itu, keaktifan dalam komunitas sastra dan kecintaan yang tulus terhadap sastra berkontribusi sebesar 31,3% terhadap keterampilan seorang penyair.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis cerpen menggunkan flipbook. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan di SMK 05 Attaqwa bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan saat ini terbatas. Berdasarkan dari tujuan penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar menulis cerpen menggunakan flipbook. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dan pemahaman siswa. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah lulus uji validasi dengan total skor yang diperoleh dari validator ahli materi yakni 4,2 dengan kategori sangat layak. Kemudian skor yang diperoleh dari validator ahli media yakni 4,3 dengan kategori sangat layak. Dan dari hasil perhitungan pada nilai rerata N-Gain 0,75 yang artinya tingkat kelayakan dari Aplikasi flipbook yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kriteria "tinggi" dan skor persentase N-Gain menunjukkan angka 75.04 artinya aplikasi flipbook yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria "Cukup Efektif" untuk digunakan dan berpengaruh terhadap bahan ajar menulis cerpen menggunakan flipbook.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the linguistic characteristics of Javanese women in Capciptop short film from the perspective of logical atomism. This research includes qualitative research with a sociolinguistic approach. The data of this research is the speech of female characters with the data source comes from the short film Capciptop found on the youtube channel Ravacana Films. The data collection was conducted using the technique of simak catatat by referring to Lakoff's linguistic theory and Russel's logical atomism. The results showed that there are three dominant characteristics of women's language in Capciptop short film, namely (1) intensifier (women often use intensifying words in their speech); (2) avoidance of strong swear words (women tend to avoid harsh swear words and prefer to express annoyance with a more subtle version), and (3) tag question (women often give emphasis at the end of a sentence to emphasize, ask for approval, or confirm something). From the view of logical atomism, these three linguistic characteristics reflect the social reality that develops in society about the character of womanhood, including (1) women like to exaggerate speech; (2) women as marginalized people who are guided to speak politely; and (3) women like to gossip.

Abstract

Based on Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic Indonesia Number 22 of 2022 concerning the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Education and Culture must be translated into textbook teaching resources. The materials in the Indonesian language textbook phase F must apply with a critical perspective or critical pedagogy, as a manifestation of the mandate of the minister of education and culture. Descriptive text material is material where elements of critical pedagogy can be seen. The aim of this research is to look at the elements of critical pedagogy, as well as to see how critical pedagogy is presented in descriptive text material in Indonesian textbooks. This research uses Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis research method. Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis divides it into three dimensions, namely the text dimensions, discourse practice dimensions, and the sociocultural dimensions. The research results show that in text analysis, were found that characterize critical pedagogy. In the analysis of discourse practice, the critical pedagogy that emerges is only half-assed, not complete. As for sociocultural analysis, the results of the PISA ranking and the pandemic which caused an economic recession are the reasons why critical pedagogy did not fully emerged.

Abstract

This paper discusses The History of Java (first published in 1817 and published in Indonesian translation in 2014) by Thomas Stamford Raffles about the archipelago's spices, trade, and colonization. Since the arrival of the Portuguese in the easternmost of the archipelago in 1510, Western societies have been hunting for commodities that can be sold. They are middlemen, corporations, and hunters. The gastrocritical method developed by Endraswara was used to obtain literary data. The results of the primary data were linked intertextually to Nagara Krtagama (first published in 1365, then republished in 2009), Sair Rempah-Rempah by Mas Marco Kartodikromo (1919), and Aruna dan Lidahnya (2014) by Laksmi Pamuntjak. The study results show that the spice discourse not only discusses the "Spice Path" but also the path of the meaning of spices in building Indonesia. Spices and Indonesianness are a unity in precolonial and postcolonial history in Indonesia. As a recommendation, spice literature evokes memories of past glories. Spices are a symbol of reminder and healing the wounds of the past.

Abstract

Research This study aims to analyze students' speaking skills through a role-playing learning model assisted by animated video media. This study is experimental quantitative research with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study is all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Benjina, but the selected research sample is class VII-B students with a total of 28 people, and the sampling technique used is non-probability sampling. Data collection in this study is through observation, interviews, tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential statistical analysis and the Paired Sample T-Test test assisted by the IBM SPSS application to test hypotheses. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that there was an influence of the role-playing learning model assisted by animation video media on students' speaking skills. This is evidenced by obtaining an average score of 62.46 for the pre-test and an average score for the post-test of 79.89 which means an average increase of 17.43. These findings are also expected to influence education policies to introduce more varied learning methods, especially in schools located in remote areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot pada siswa SMK Negeri 5 Penerbangan Waibu, dengan latar belakang bahwa keterampilan menulis teks anekdot merupakan kompetensi penting dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Teks anekdot dipilih karena dapat mendorong kreativitas siswa dalam menyampaikan kritik sosial secara lucu dan menarik. Namun, banyak siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis teks anekdot yang baik karena siswa merasakan tidak menarik dan tidak sesuai tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat budaya dengan model pembelajaran yang diajarkan oleh guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis teks anekdot yang melibatkan 51 siswa kelas XI. Analisis data meliputi aspek struktur teks, penggunaan bahasa, kreativitas, dan kesesuaian tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa secara umum berada pada kategori cukup. Meskipun sebagian besar siswa mampu menyusun struktur teks anekdot dengan benar, mereka masih kurang dalam hal kreativitas dan penggunaan bahasa yang sesuai dengan karakteristik teks anekdot. Selain itu, beberapa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyampaikan kritik sosial dengan cara yang lucu dan menarik. Kesimpulannya, keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa SMK Negeri 5 Penerbangan Waibu masih perlu ditingkatkan, terutama dalam kreativitas dan penggunaan bahasa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembelajaran yang lebih sesuai dengan budaya dan bahasa siswa sehingga tidak mengalami hambatan komunikasi dan pembelajaran bisa berjalan intensif dan inovatif agar siswa dapat menguasai teknik menulis teks anekdot dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Salinity is a major abiotic stress that can induce ethylene synthesis beyond the normal limits as plants response to stress and hence reduces crop productivity. The 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylase deaminase (ACCD)-producing bacteria can reduce excessive ethylene synthesis by taking ACC (ethylene precursor) as a nitrogen source. This study showed the possibility of using endophytic bacteria in order to reduce the undesirable effects of salinity. Strain Pseudomonas putida PIR3C and Roultella terrigena PCM8 exhibited promising performance for promoting the growth of plant under salinity stress conditions. The results showed that bacterial inoculation was effective even in the presence of higher salinity levels. Strain P. putida PIR3C was the most efficient strain compared to the other strains and significantly increased shoot length, root length, dry weight, germination percentage, and reduced stem diameter. The role of ACCD in reducing ethylene production under salinity stress conditions was also studied by measuring the evolution of ethylene in vitro by soybean seeds treated with some ACCD bacterial strain. The maximum ethylene lowering capacity was observed in R. terrigena PCM8, the strain reduced ethylene production from 622.81 nmol.g-1(control) to 352.78 nmol.g-1 (43% reduction). The production of α-ketobutyrate, chlorophyll content and germination percentage from P. putida PIR3C was higher than other strains. The results suggested that strain P. putida PIR3C and R. terrigena PCM8 can be employed for salinity tolerance in soybean seedlings and may have better prospects for an amelioration of stress condition.
