Abstract

Breast cancer is a disease in which breast cells grow uncontrollably and form tumors. Breast cancer is a non-communicable disease but is a deadly disease for women, (WHO, 2024) According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2022, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer. Based on Globocan data in 2020, the number of new cases of breast cancer in Indonesia in 2020 reached 16.6% or 65,858 cases out of a total of 396,914 new cases. This study generally aims to determine the relationship between age at menarche and parity with the incidence of breast cancer in the Oncology Surgery Room of General Ahmad Yani Regional Hospital, Metro City. This study is a quantitative study with a case-control study design. Data collection was carried out through interviews and reviewing medical records. The case population was all mothers diagnosed with breast cancer in the Oncology Surgery Room, the control population was all mothers who were not diagnosed with breast cancer in the Oncology Surgery Room, the research sample consisted of 80 respondents consisting of 40 case samples and 40 control samples, taken by accidental sampling technique. The analysis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the chi square test by determining the 95% confidence level. The results of the study on mothers with breast cancer (case group) obtained a proportion of menarche age of 65% and a proportion of parity of 55.0%. The results of the statistical test showed a relationship between menarche age p value = 0.007 and OR 3.857 and parity p value = 0.001 and OR = 5.762. The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between menarche age and parity with the incidence of breast cancer. Researchers hope that hospitals can provide education to patients and the community regarding menarche age, parity and other risk factors related to breast cancer in order to minimize the occurrence of breast cancer

Abstract

The study aims to improve the writing skills of javanese alphabet nglegena through the use of media Stick Figure based on educational board games in class III students of Selodoko 2 elementary school, Ampel Sub-district, Boyolali Districk, in academic year 2018/2019. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were third grade teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this study used interview, observation, documentation, and test techniques. Test the validity of the data using content validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. Increase in the average score of the four aspects from the pre-action with the score of 2,09 increasing up to 2,48 in the first cycle then increase again in the cycle 2 with a score of 3,26. The average aspect influences the value of aspects of writing skills Javanese alphabet nglegena. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of media Stick Figure based on educational board games can improve writing skills in Javanese alphabet nglegena in class III students of Selodoko 2 elementary school, Ampel Sub-district, Boyolali District.Keywords: media Stick Figure based on educational board games, Javanese alphabet nglegena writing skill, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. This research has a purpose to find : (1)the different of argumentative text writing skills between the students that teached by Six Thinking Hats learning method within  Brainstorming learning method ; (2) the different of argumentative text writing skills between the high internal locus of control students and low internal locus of control students, and (3) the interaction between learning method and internal locus of control on the  argumentative text writing skills. Research arranged using quasi experimental research method at 2 x 2 factorial design. The examined population were all the fifth grader students of state elementary school at Laweyan sub district Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year. The technique of sampling was using cluster random sampling. The representative sample were Kleco I elementary school and Bratan II elementary school. Data dollected by test and non test technique. The data were analyzed using Two Ways Anava at 5% significance level. This research conclude that (1) there was a different of argumentative text writing skills between the students that teached by Six Thinking Hats learning method within Brainstorming learning method with FA = 11.1345093 > F(0,05;1,62) = 4; (2) there was a different of argumentative text writing skills between the high internal locus of control students and low internal locus of control students with FB= 5.76629985> F(0,05;1,62) = 4; (3) there was no interaction between learning method and internal locus of control on the  argumentative text writing skills with FAB = -0.9813857<F(0,05;1,62) = 4.Keywords : Six Thinking Hats, Brainstorming, Internal Locus of Control, argumentative text writing skills, elementary school

Abstract

Research this aiming for increase problem solving skills two dimentional figure with model TS-TS and for know the application of model TS-TS on the problem solving skills two dimentional figure. Classroom Action Research was a type of this research, carried out for 2 cycle with 4 activities.Technique of collection data carried out were with test, debriefing, observation and documentation. Technique of validity data using triangulation of source and triangulation of technique . Technique of analysis data used were descriptive statistics, descriptive of comparative and interactive analysis. Results research to show average of class on pre-action is 48,44 and completeness is 7,14% , increase on cycle I with average of class 69,97 and completeness classical 53,85% and increase again on cycle II with average of class reaching 81,84 and completeness is 85,71%. Based on results research, can be know that implementation Cooperative learning model type Two Stay - Two Stray (TS-TS) can increase problem solving skills two dimentional figure on students of fourth A grade in state elementary school of 01 Nangsri academic year 2018/2019.Keywords: Cooperative learning model, Two Stay - Two Stray (TS-TS), problem solving skills, two dimentional figure

Abstract

The goal of this research is to increase the space building problem solving skill (beam and cube) on the 5th grade student of SDN Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta by implementing the discovery learning model with the manipulative media. The form of this research is clasroom action research which is conducted in two cycles. Each of the cycle consist of three meeting. The subject of this research is the twenty two of 5th grade students and teacher of class V at SDN Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta on the academic year of 2018/2019. The collecting data technique used is observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data validity used is triangualation source, and triangulation technique. The obtained data in the classroom action research is analysed by using descriptive statistical analysis technique and interactive analyses Miles and Huberman Model. The result of the research showed that there is increasment of classical completeness start from 0% on the preaction, become 5% on the cycle 1, and 82% on the cycle II.The conclusion of this research is The Implementation of Discovery Learning Model with manipulative media can increase the space building problem solving skill (beam and Cube) on the 5th gradestudent of SDN Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta on the acadamic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Abstract. This research purposed to increase the reading comprehension skill by using the DRTA strategy on students class V SDN Bibis Wetan student year 2018/2019. The form of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAT) held in two cycles. Everycycle was consist of 4 steps as following planning, action, observe, and reflection. The subject of this research was teacher and students was amounts 36 students. The technique of collecting datas were documentation, observation, interviewing, and test. The datas were analysed by using interactive analysis (Miles and Huberman). The data validity used source triangulation and  technical triangulation. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the cooperation social attitude in social studies learning throught the used of Decision Making in IV grade of state primary school Munggung 1 Surakarta at 2018/2019 academic year. Subject of the reseach are teacher and student totally 20 students. The research is a classroom action research (CAR) was conducted in three cycles. The data collection techniques used of interview, observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman. The validity of the data using triangulation of data sources and triangulation of data collection techniques. The first cycle resulting in a percentage of 35% in classical, the second  cycle resulting a percentage of 60% and the third cycle resulting in a percentage of 80% in classical terms.
