Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the parameters of water absorption and bending strength, with variations in mesh size and volume of sawdust. The powder particles used were 20 mesh and 80 mesh with 70% and 80% wood powder volume variations. Bending test specimens were made using ASTM D790-02 standard and water absorption using SNI 03-2105-2006 standard. The Water Absorbency value is best in specimen BX (70% sawdust, 80 mesh) with a water absorption addition value of 0.43% and the lowest value in variation AY (80% sawdust, 20 mesh) of 0.76%. From the Anova test results, the value of Fhitung mesh size and Fhitug volume of sawdust Fhitung ˃ Ftabel = (Ha) which means it has an effect. Water absorption is influenced by mesh size by 35.59% and wood powder volume by 59.88%.The highest flexural strength value in specimen BX (70% sawdust, 80 mesh) with a flexural strength value of 59.34 MPa and the lowest value in variation BY (80% sawdust, 80 mesh) of 33.37 MPa. From the Anova test results, the value of Fhitung wood powder volume Fhitung ˃ Ftabel = (Ha) which means it has an effect. While the mesh size is Fhitung < Ftabel = (H0) which means there is un effect. Flexural strength is influenced by mesh size by 2.60% and wood powder volume by 83.05%.

Abstract

This research examines the productive zakat development model in Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam through a comparative approach. Productive zakat is an effort to utilize zakat funds to improve the economic welfare of mustahik in a sustainable manner. In Indonesia, zakat is regulated by Law no. 23 of 2011 and managed by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) and various Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ). Meanwhile, in Brunei Darussalam, zakat is managed by the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) based on sharia law. This study found that the two countries have different approaches but both focus on empowering the mustahik economy through programs such as providing business capital, skills training and assistance with production equipment. Indonesia shows diversity in program implementation with extensive collaboration between various institutions, while Brunei Darussalam utilizes full government support for more focused and effective program implementation. Challenges facing Indonesia include unequal distribution and weak supervision, while Brunei faces challenges in economic diversification. However, both countries have great opportunities to increase the effectiveness of productive zakat programs through technological innovation and closer collaboration between the public and private sectors. This study provides insight into best practices and lessons that can be drawn from each country to improve the welfare of mustahik in a sustainable manner. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of strengthening the legal and institutional framework, as well as increasing transparency and accountability in the management of productive zakat.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan wujud nyata dari tugas dosen dan mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yakni aspek pengabdian. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat desa Ridogalih, maka terjadi sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dengan masyarakat sebagai wujud knowledge demokrasi. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat setempat tentang pentingnya pendidikan guna membantu pemerintah dalam mencerdaskan anak bangsa dan membantu masyarakat dalam hal perekonomian. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui kegiatan: penyuluhan UMKM, pengadaan gubuk baca, pengadaan PJU, dan KKN mengajar. Hasil pengabdian memberikan gambaran naiknya semangat dan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang penggunaan social media sebagai alat perdagangan dan pentingnya literasi bagi masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Pesut mahakam (Orcaella brevirostris) merupakan mamalia akuatik endemik yang hidup di Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Mahakam Wilayah Hulu. Statusnya sudah dikategorikan critically endangered oleh IUCN dan tergolong pada Appendiks I CITES. Penurunan populasinya yang terjadi setiap tahun menjadikan upaya konservasi penting untuk segera dilakukan. Upaya konservasi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah adalah dengan menetapkan Kawasan Konservasi di Perairan Mahakam Wilayah Hulu Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara melalui Keputusan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Nomor 49 Tahun 2022. Penetapan kawasan konservasi ini didukung dengan Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pengelolaan Kelautan dan Ruang Laut Nomor 61 Tahun 2023 tentang Rencana Pengelolaan Kawasan Konservasi di Perairan Mahakam Wilayah Hulu Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara 2023-2042. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi terhadap rencana pengelolaan kawasan konservasi yang telah dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Data primer yang diambil terdiri atas data pemahaman masyarakat, data kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat, serta data pemantauan penggunaan alat tangkap tidak ramah lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap kawasan konservasi setelah dilakukan sosialisasi. Namun, terdapat beberapa tantangan dan pelanggaran, seperti penggunaan alat tangkap tidak ramah lingkungan dan tingkat pendidikan masyarakat. Beberapa rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan terhadap rencana pengelolaan kawasan konservasi adalah: (1) peningkatan keterlibatan masyarakat melalui program pemberdayaan masyarakat, pendidikan penggunaan alat tangkap ramah lingkungan, dan pengembangan ekonomi alternatif yang berkelanjutan; (2) peningkatan pendidikan konservasi secara formal maupun informal; (3) pengenalan inovasi alat tangkap ikan dengan pemasangan perangkat akustik yang dapat mengusir pesut; dan (4) penguatan penegakan hukum dengan pelibatan champion atau warga desa yang tergabung dalam pokmaswas.

Abstract

Abstrak — Revolusi industri 4.0 mendorong sektor pendidikan untuk mengadopsi teknologi terkini sepertipembelajaran jarak jauh dan platform digital. Universitas Telkom mengembangkan platform SOFI untuk memonitorSidang Tugas Akhir di Fakultas Rekayasa Industri. Awalnya menggunakan arsitektur monolitik dan Multi Page Application(MPA), aplikasi ini kini memerlukan peningkatan untuk menangani jumlah pengguna yang besar dan memperbaikipengalaman pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan front-end aplikasi SOFI dengan menerapkanSingle Page Application (SPA) dan arsitektur microservices.SPA dipilih untuk mengurangi waktu respon danmeningkatkan interaktivitas serta penanganan error,sedangkan microservices menawarkan fleksibilitas danskalabilitas yang lebih tinggi. Metodologi yang digunakanadalah System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) denganpendekatan Iterative Incremental, karena mampumengakomodasi umpan balik pengguna dan perubahankebutuhan selama proses pengembangan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa migrasi ke SPA dan microservicesmeningkatkan performa dan pengalaman pengguna aplikasiSOFI serta mempermudah pengembangan dan pemeliharaankode. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadapdigitalisasi layanan pendidikan, khususnya dalam efisiensi dan kenyamanan proses sidang tugas akhir. Abstract

The abstract and symbolic nature of chemistry presents significant learning challenges for students, particularly in the understanding of foundational concepts through a variety of representations. It's tougher to teach well, especially in Indonesia, because there are not many trustworthy instruments to measure students' interpretative skills, which are very important for representational competence. The goal of this study was to fill this gap by creating and testing a reliable assessment tool called the Assessment of Representational Competence in Fundamental Chemical Laws (ARC-FCL), which was meant to measure the interpretative skills of Indonesian senior high school students.  The Define, Design, and Develop stages of the 4D model were employed in the Research and Development process of this study design. The Kozma-Russell framework and the Three-Dimensional Learning Assessment Protocol (3D-LAP) helped shape the instrument's development. The ARC-FCL test has two levels of multiple-choice and essay questions about the laws of Lavoisier, Dalton, and Gay-Lussac. Two chemistry education professors and one experienced instructor reviewed the content to ensure its validity. Researchers got real-world data for psychometric analysis from 30 11th-grade students at a senior high school in Lampung, Indonesia. The study looked at item validity using Pearson correlation, item discrimination, and internal consistency reliability using Cronbach alpha. All three designed items had great validity, with correlation values over the key threshold of 0.361 and good discrimination indices between 0.50 and 0.75. The instrument was somewhat reliable, with a Cronbach alpha coefficient of 0.572. This is fine for a formative diagnostic tool at this early stage of development. Item analysis also showed that students had the most trouble with the question about the Law of Multiple Proportions.  In conclusion, this study developed a valuable and valid instrument for identifying the specific challenges faced by students when attempting to comprehend sub-microscopic representations of fundamental chemical principles. As a formative assessment instrument that fits with the Kurikulum Merdeka, the ARC-FCL is quite useful for Indonesian teachers. It encourages a move from memorizing things by heart to comprehending them better and learning how to do science. Future work should be focused on adding more items to the bank to make it more reliable and cover more ground. Keywords: representational competence, assessment instrument, interpretive skills, basic chemical laws, 4D model, instrument validation.

Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dalam dunia industri telah mendorong peningkatan akan kebutuhan di bidang otomotif salah-satunya ialah bumper mobil. Bumper mobil memiliki fungsi sebagai pelindung struktural dan elemen desain yang penting. Bumper mobil pada umumnya terbuat dari logam seperti paduan alumunium atau plat baja, sehingga mobil pada saat itu cenderung berdampak kurangnya dalam akselerasi terlebih harga bumper mobil relatif maha. Untuk itu penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuatan komposit yang diperkuat serat alam(Jerami padi) dengan variasi arah susunan serat(Vertikal, berlapis Vertikal/Horizontal dan Acak) dengan rasio 5%:95%. Penelitian ini mengkaji kekuatan mekanis dari komposit dengan menggunakan metode uji tarik dengan standar ASTM D638. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk bahan asesoris seperti bemper mobil. Hasil pengujian tarik tertinggi diperoleh oleh susunan serat Vertikal dengan kekuatan tarik tertinggi 18,36 MPa, diikuti oleh susunan vertikal/horizontal 10,92 MPa, dan yang terendah adalah susunan acak 9,15 MPa.

Abstract

This paper discusses entrepreneurship among the younger generation in Malaysia. The main strategy of the agenda for national development is from the economic sector, one of which is entrepreneurship. Therefore, in several related matters, the role of the government itself is how to improve the entrepreneurial sector or known as MSMEs so that they can be encouraged to be developed for the community. With the hope that new entrepreneurs will emerge, sectors of the community's economy will be able to grow and become more established, therefore other sectors such as education and health can be properly guaranteed. The research method used in this article is qualitative using a creative economy approach. The method of extracting through the data that has been used is through structured interviews and literature study. The research results show that some of the youth in Malaysia have an interest and interest in the world of business and entrepreneurship. Thus, there is already an awareness of developing an entrepreneurial spirit. Thus, all parties are expected to become agents of change for the improvement in the economic sector and MSMEs. Through various kinds of programs carried out by the government and also the campus, thus trying to become agents to grow new entrepreneurs with special hopes, namely young people in Malaysia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the concern of prospective chemistry teacher students towards the environment using a questionnaire. green chemistry attitude. The data obtained were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) techniques to determine the contribution of each item, the level of student mastery, and the interrelationship between the dimensions of green chemistry attitudes. The research sample was 200 students who were taken by random sampling technique from the total number of students from the Department of Chemistry Education, FKIP, University of Lampung. The results showed that the 15 statement items in the instrument grouped into 4 factors, namely prevention, design for energy efficiency, safer solvent and auxiliaries, design for degradation. Each statement item and factor have a fairly good validity and reliability in terms of the standard rotated factor loadings and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Furthermore, the mean and grandmean analysis revealed that most of the prospective students for chemistry teacher at FKIP Unila had a positive attitude towards the concept of recycling in chemical processes and the use of solvents that were safe for the environment. Each factor also shows astrong correlation with each other in terms of the Pearson correlation coefficient. Abstract

The educational paradigm, which was originally face-to-face based, has shifted to virtual education or e-learning especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Student readiness is an important factor in the success of e-learning. In this study, an analysis will be carried out on the readiness of students in online learning and the relationship and its effect on learning outcomes. This research procedure includes several stages, namely: (1) adapting the instrument based on a literature review, (2) analyzing the validity of the content and distributing the instrument to the research sample, and (3) evaluating research data, examining correlation, and its effect on learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed statistically through reliability analysis and Pearson correlation. The research sample consisted of 120 students of chemistry education at the FKIP, University of Lampung. Based on the results of statistical tests obtained results. Based on the research results, it was found that all dimensions of student readiness in online learning had a significant positive correlation with learning outcomes with a sig <0.05. Based on the linear regression test, it was found that student readiness in online learning had an effect on learning outcomes by 20.6%.
