Abstract

Keluhan di stasiun penggulungan adonan berupa sakit pinggang dan punggung karena tinggi meja terlalu rendah sehingga pekerja sedikit membungkuk saat menggulung adonan. Permasalahan juga ditemukan  pada stasiun kukusan yang tidak memperhatikan aspek K3 (Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja), fasilitas fisik belum sesuai dengan antropometri dan postur kerja pekerja yang berpotensi mengalami kecelakaan kerja sehingga menyebabkan pekerja jatuh pada saat melakukan aktivitas pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengurangi tingkat risiko kecelakaan pada pekerja. Dengan rancangan meja baru yang multifungsi pada meja penggulungan, skor REBA sisi kiri dan kanan awalnya 6 dan 5 (risiko menengah) menjadi 2 (risiko rendah) . Pada stasiun kukusan adonan, diusulkan 5 rak pin digabung menjadi 1 berdasarkan kapasitas produksi perhari sehingga perusahaan cukup mengukus adonan sekali saja dalam sehari. Ukuran rak pin dirubah sesuai data antropometri sehingga awalnya harus menggunakan bantuan kursi untuk menjangkau bagian atas rak pin sekarang tidak perlu lagi. Dengan memberi usulan rancangan rak pin, skor REBA bagian atas rak pin sisi kiri kanan awalnya 10 (risiko tinggi) menjadi 7 dan 6 (risiko menengah). Bagian tengah rak pin sisi kiri dan kanan memiliki skor 3 sehingga tidak perlu lagi diperbaiki. Bagian bawah rak pin sisi kiri awalnya 7 dan 6 (risiko menengah)  menjadi 5(risiko menengah).

Abstract

Company Y is a construction company in the fabrication business by working on projects with sub-classifications, namely foundation work including transmitters, roofing and waterproofing work, concrete work, and steel work and its installation. The company also produces machines used to process palm oil, such as threshers, screw conveyor belts, and sterilizers. This company found 15 cases of work accidents occurred from 2017-2020. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of frequent accidents and analyze potential hazards and assess the risk of hazards in the company so that it can provide recommendations for appropriate control for the company using the hazard identification risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC) method. There are 5 types of accidents that have occurred frequently and 13 potential accident hazards in the company today. Then for the risk level in the risk assessment, there is 1 event with a high-risk rating (in red), 10 events with a medium level risk rating (yellow), and 11 events with a low-risk rating result (in green). The risk of accidents that should be a priority is the risk of gas cylinder leakage accidents. Accident data for 3 years are depicted in a Pareto diagram and analyzed the cause based on a fishbone diagram, using factors 4M+1E, namely humans, machines, methods, raw materials, and the environment.

Abstract

Mental stress is a condition that can be caused by uncontrolled physical demands, environment, and social situations. In lecture activities, mental stress occurs in some students, reducing their performance at the lecture level. Mental stress in students tends to be high which can be caused by factors contained in lecture activities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the mental workload experienced by students, especially Industrial Engineering students at X University class of 2020, and identify the factors that cause students' mental workload, and provide suggestions to help students overcome their mental workload. The method in this research is the Subjective Workload Assessment Technique (SWAT) to measure mental workload using respondent assessment and using Fishbone Diagram to find out the factors that cause high mental workload in students. The questionnaire was distributed to all students of class 2020 who were taking at least 18 credits in the odd semester of 2022-2023. The results of this method state that students of class 2020 have a mental burden on class activities and practicum activities. With a percentage of the time dimension of 46.78% in class activities and 55.34% in practicum activities followed by the effort dimension of 25.77% and 20.39%, the stress dimension of 27.45% and 24.27%. Based on the highest factors causing mental burden due to teaching and learning activities in class and practicum, it was found that the class of 2020 felt difficulties when studying quiz material, taking quizzes, studying practicum material, participating in practicum activities, working on practicum reports, and communicating with practicum partners. Some suggestions are to rearrange the lecture schedule or lecture hours, each lecturer makes an academic schedule for giving each assignment and quiz during the period of one semester, students are wiser in managing their free time, students take the number of credits according to their respective capacities, and so on.
