Abstract

The Tual Ferry Terminal serves 21 routes between islands and between provinces with pioneer routes. However, at this time many people and unauthorized vehicles can easily enter the port area, causing the port to become less regulated, such as traders selling their wares in the port area, delivery / pick-up entering the port dock area. This is due to the absence of a zoning system in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number: 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports. So that in the activity of getting on and off of passengers and loading and unloading vehicles, there are several obstacles, among others, the absence of zoning at the port which causes unauthorized people to enter restricted areas and irregular traffic flow patterns. This research aims to; 1) Dividing Zones of Areas needed for Passengers and Vehicles 2) Regulating the Pattern of Vehicle Traffic at the Tual Ferry Port. 3) And To Determine Equipment That Can Help In Handling Zoning Arrangements at the Tual Ferry Port. The research methodology used is direct observation in the field (field research) with measurement studies and literature (literature). Then to analyze this, refer to PM Number 29 of 2016 concerning Ferry Port Sterilization. The analysis used is the zoning analysis, analysis of vehicle and passenger traffic patterns and the equipment needed to support the zone system. The results of this study are 1) That the sterilization of passengers and vehicles is a zone arrangement system at the crossing port from the accumulation of passengers and vehicles. 2) Whereas the existing conditions of the Tual Ferry Port in Maluku province are not in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports. 3) And to regulate passenger and vehicle traffic by optimizing officers and adding signs to facilitate the departure and arrival process.

Abstract

Teluk Bungus Ferry Port is a port located in Padang City, serving four ferry routes, namely Padang–Tua Pejat, Padang–Sikakap, Padang–Sikabaluan, and Padang–Siberut with two ships. Based on the results of a four-month survey, it shows the lack of intermodal integration facilities such as bus stops, sidewalks, information boards, and signs in public stopping areas. This study aims to design a concept for connecting infrastructure between ships and other modes of transportation through observation methods of facility conditions and vehicle and passenger flow patterns at the port. Based on the analysis, the construction of intermodal integration facilities is needed, including bus stops within the port, pedestrian facilities, information boards, and bus stop signs. The resulting design includes a bus stop measuring 5.7 meters x 2 meters, a 1.85-meter-wide sidewalk equipped with guiding blocks. The information boards are designed to display schedules, routes, transportation fares, and bus stop signs. These facilities are planned to improve the comfort and safety of service users continuing their journeys using public transportation.

Abstract

ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Padang Branch, is the manager of the Baai Island – Kahyapu ferry port. Based on the results of field observations, it was found that several services for service users have not been carried out properly, such as not having evacuation route instructions and evacuation gathering points, prayer rooms whose areas are still not clean and prayer equipment is not available, passenger waiting rooms do not have air conditioning which causes hot temperatures in the waiting room. In this study, the method used to analyze existing problems is the Gap Service Quality method to determine the gap between service user perceptions of the quality of service provided by the port and service user expectations of Port services and mapping the Importance Performance Analysis quadrant to determine the attributes that are the main priority in improving the quality of Port services. In the calculation of the Gap Service Quality analysis, the highest Gap value was obtained for services in the tangibles dimension with a value of -2.37 on attribute 7, the reliability dimension with a value of -0.59 on attribute 13, the responsiveness dimension with a value of -0.59 on attribute 18, the assurance dimension with a value of -2.04 on attribute 22, the Empathy dimension with a value of -0.56 on attribute 26, and the average value of the gap for all dimensions was -0.93. So what was obtained from the calculation of the service quality gap showed a negative result <0 which indicated that the service was less than satisfactory. Based on the results of the Importance Performance Analysis quadrant mapping analysis, there were 12 attributes in quadrant I as the main priority for improvement so that the level of service user satisfaction could increase.
