Abstract

This study investigates the impact of profitability and liquidity on bank viability, considering capital adequacy as a moderating factor in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. The research sample consists of 9 Islamic commercial banks from 2018 to 2022. The dependent variable, bank survival, is assessed using Return on Assets (ROA). The independent variable, profitability, is measured by Return on Equity (ROE), with Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as the moderating variable. Control variables include Net Profit Margin (NPM), Operational Efficiency (BOPO), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). Analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with a Fixed Effects model. The findings indicate that capital adequacy functions as a pure moderator, enhancing the relationship between NPM and ROA while weakening the relationship between ROE and ROA.

Abstract

In order to determine how well Islamic financial products promote financial inclusion in the society, this study performed a bibliometric examination of the literature on Islamic finance and financial inclusion. The scholarly literature is analyzed for trends, patterns, and study focus using a bibliometric technique. Information gathered from 920 publications that were mentioned over 568,52 times between 2010 and 2024 demonstrates the literature's major contribution to the growth of the Islamic finance sector. While citation analysis identifies the subjects receiving the greatest attention in the literature, network visualization of research themes and trends shows the progression of ideas from theoretical to practical applications. These results offer a clearer picture of the growth of the Islamic financial sector and the obstacles in the way of achieving greater financial inclusion in society. By delving further into the patterns and trends seen in scholarly works, practitioners and policymakers may create more effective plans to increase public access to Islamic financial services while adhering to Islamic principles.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the 5.0 era demands innovation to maximize the functions of technology that can be used by humans in various fields, including the banking sector, with one of its products being mobile banking. The emergence of mobile banking has shown positive impacts with numerous benefits for customers. The purpose of this research is to study important factors that can explain customers' intention and behavior in adopting mobile banking by using constructs found in the UTAUT 2 model, then adding personal innovativeness, trust, and security variables as model developments in explaining intention and behavior in adopting BSI mobile banking. The method used is quantitative, where data were collected through online questionnaires (Google Form) distributed to 360 customers who adopted BSI mobile banking services, then analyzed using structural equation modeling techniques (SEM-PLS version 3.0). The results show that the variables of price value, habit, and security have a significant positive influence on behavioral intention. Then, habit, personal innovativeness, and behavioral intention have a significant positive influence on use behavior, while effort expectancy has an influence but a significant negative effect on behavioral intention. The empirical results of this study imply that the proposed model extension has not yet been fully applied, indicating that the adoption rate still needs improvement.

Abstract

Breast cancer poses a significant global health challenge, with a notable prevalence in Indonesia. Given the intricate nature of breast cancer progression and classification, precise treatment strategies are imperative, particularly targeting signaling pathways like PI3K/AKT, pivotal in cell growth, proliferation, survival, and apoptosis. Bioactive compounds from the Strychnine tree demonstrate potential in enhancing apoptotic effects and inhibiting breast carcinogenesis. This potential is explored through in silico studies. This research aims to analyze potential targets of Strychnine tree compounds, along with binding energy and stability between ligands and receptors. Employing bioinformatics target analysis, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulation, the study reveals AKT1 as a potential target of Strychnine tree compounds. These compounds inhibit AKT1 at both active and allosteric sites, displaying notably low binding energy scores. For example, brucine exhibits a binding energy of -10.83 kJ/mol at the active site, surpassing the standard capivasertib. However, lupeol, with a binding energy of -11.14 kJ/mol, falls short of the MK-2206 standard at the allosteric site. Molecular dynamics simulations expose fluctuations in parameters like RMSD, RMSF, and binding energy within the initial 5 ns. In conclusion, Strychnine tree compounds, such as brucine and lupeol, showcase potential AKT1 inhibition at both active and allosteric sites, enhancing apoptotic effects. However, the stability of these compounds in binding to their receptors within the first 5 ns of the simulation warrants further investigation for prolonged interactions.
