Abstract

The Solar Power Plant (PLTS) represents one of the pioneering electricity producers established at Manado State University. The aforementioned solar cell technology is a mechanism that effectively transforms solar energy into electrical energy. Indonesia, being situated on the equator and endowed with ample sun resources, stands to benefit significantly from the adoption of solar energy, thus enhancing its effectiveness. This study employs a quantitative methodology with a descriptive framework to examine the impact of light intensity on the voltage and current of solar panels. Based on the obtained measurements, it can be observed that the intensity of the sun is directly proportional to its brightness, assuming that there is no cloud cover. In ideal bright conditions, the maximum duration for the absorption of solar energy in a single day can extend up to 9 hours. On the contrary, the duration of optimal absorption during overcast or rainy weather conditions is limited to a maximum of five hours during a single day. The calculations were conducted using the average power generated on the initial day, which amounted to 30,299.76 kilowatt-hours per day, and on the subsequent day, which totaled 40,991.22 kilowatt-hours per day. There exists a positive correlation between the intensity of solar radiation and the performance of solar panels, whereby an increase in intensity leads to a corresponding increase in panel performance.

Abstract

The energy crisis is one of the major problems facing the world today, especially electrical energy. Supercapacitors are an alternative solution as an electrical energy storage divais. In this study, batik kawangkoan peanut shell samples have been successfully modified into activated carbon as a supercapacitor electrode. The carbonization process is given a carbonization temperature treatment of 350oC, 400oC, 450oC, 500oC, 550oC which is activated using a 7 M KOH solution by heating in a furnace at 750oC to produce a voltage of 0.966 V, 1.273 V, respectively, 1.295 V, 1.325 V, 1.654 V and currents of 18.56 mA, 23.43 mA, 26.47 mA, 30.53 mA, 48.24 mA which shows that there is a change in the value of current and voltage in supercapacitors, and the best sample is in the sample with 550oC carbonization temperature treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that carbonization temperature has an influence on the current and voltage characteristics of supercapacitor electrodes.

Abstract

The utilization of renewable energy has become a major focus in an effort to reduce dependence on fossil energy sources and reduce negative impacts on the environment, making it important to increase the use of clean and renewable energy. One of the biggest challenges in the application of renewable energy is efficient and sustainable energy storage. In this case, supercapacitors have proven to be a solution as an efficient and sustainable energy storage device. In this study, water hyacinth biomass material was tested as a supercapacitor electrode which was influenced by variations in Na2SO4 electrolyte, namely 1M, 2M, and 3 M, which produced voltages of 1.037 V, 1.404 V, and 1.647 V respectively and electric currents of 18.56 mA, 23.32 mA, and 32.34 mA. From the results of this study, it was found that the sample with an electrolyte concentration of Na2SO4 3 M had higher voltage and amperage values, which amounted to 1.654 V and 32.34 mA due to the greater number of Na+ and SO42- ions in the electrolyte. So it can be concluded that the variation of Na2SO4 electrolyte concentration of 1 M, 2 M, and 3 M results in an increase in the value of voltage and electric current produced by supercapacitors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran Energi mekanik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Pre-experimental Design dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Postest. Teknik sampling menggunakan non probability sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X dengan jumlah 22 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Data diperoleh dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan postest pada tes hasil belajar siswa. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan hipotesis (uji-t). Perolehan nilai rata-rata untuk pretest 38,96 dan posttest 75,00. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing Menggunakan Pendekatan Kontekstual dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran fisika sebagai alternatif dikarenakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mnjadi lebih baik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada topik fluida statis dengan penerapan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media presentasi di SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan Subjek siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu. Teknik pengambilan data adalah tes pada setiap siklus. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan siswa siklus I sebesar 73,1% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 96,15% dengan persentase penilaian kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik pada masing-masing siklus yaitu siklus I 76,1%,77,1%,72,1% sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 94,6%,87,2%,83,2%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media presentasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada topik Fluida Statis di SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an online-based assessment of physics learning outcomes on straight motion material and to find out the implementation and responses of students after using the kahoot application as a medium for evaluating learning outcomes. This research is research and development (Research and Development) using the 4D research model adapted from Thiagarajan namely Difine, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate. The research instrument used was a test instrument, material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, item analysis and student response questionnaires. The results of the eligibility validation of small group material experts were 78%, large groups were 92%, small group media expert validations were 78%, large groups were 84% with feasible and very feasible criteria. The response of the students in the small group test was 75.87%, the large group test was 80.6% with interesting criteria. The results showed that the development of the assessment of physics learning outcomes using the kahoot application was well implemented and feasible to be used in the assessment of learning outcome.

Abstract

Elektronika Dasar 2 adalah salah satu mata kuliah wajib jurusan Fisika, Universitas Negeri Manado dan umumnya juga dibeberapa perguruan tinggi lain. Penelitian ini menyelidiki penggunaan aplikasi Tinkercad dalam mata kuliah Elektronika Dasar 2 dan dampaknya terhadap persepsi serta pemahaman mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kajian deskriptif dengan dengan metode survei terhadap mahasiswa Jurusan Fisika, Universitas Negeri Manado yang mengambil mata kuliah Elektronika Dasar 2 sebanyak 20 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbasis google form dan tanya untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai pengalaman belajar menggunakan Tinkercad dan pemahaman mahasiswa terkait materi ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Tinkercad memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap persepsi, memberikan media pembelajaran yang lebih visual dan interaktif dan membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep-konsep elektronika secara lebih baik. Meskipun begitu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa, seperti masalah aksesibilitas dan kebutuhan akan panduan penggunaan aplikasi. Mahasiswa memberikan persepsi positif sekaligus telah dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual terkait penggunaan aplikasi Tinkercad dalam pembelajaran Elektronika Dasar 2.

Abstract

This study aims to design a feasible, effective and practical magnetic field demonstration tool used in physics learning at school. This demonstration tool is a Tesla Coil which is a coil that oscillates and produces a magnetic field. The method used is development research (R & D) 4D model. This research was conducted in October 2024 at Karitas Tomohon Catholic High School for 25 students. The results of the study were seen from three aspects, namely feasibility, effectiveness and practicality. The feasibility results were obtained through the assessment of a team of material experts and media experts. The final result of the media expert team assessment was 93.75% and the material expert team assessment was 91.66%. Effectiveness data is obtained from student learning outcomes data through pre-test and post-test instruments. Through the T-test analysis, there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of control class students and experimental classes. Practicality data is obtained through a questionnaire filled out by students. Practicality analysis shows a value of 85.23% in the strongly agree category and 14.76% in the agree category. Teacher response to the product scored 93%.T hus it can be concluded that the Tesla Coil Demonstration Tool is declared feasible, effective and practical to use in learning activities.

Abstract

Penggunaan laboratorium fisika dasar memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Negeri Manado. Namun, keterbatasan panduan eksperimen yang sistematis dan mudah diakses seringkali menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan praktikum yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-book panduan eksperimen berbasis FlipHTML5 sebagai sarana pembelajaran interaktif bagi mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Validasi produk dilaksanakan oleh 7 reviewer menggunakan instrumen kuisioner aspek materi, bahasa, dan media, sedangkan kepraktisan diujikan kepada 20 mahasiswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan e-book ini sangat layak dengan skor rerata tiap aspek di atas 4,20 dan sangat praktis dengan skor rerata 4,40. PEKA RASA memudahkan mahasiswa mengakses, memahami dan memberikan instruksi eksperimen yang jelas. Dengan demikian e-book ini berimplikasi pada kualitas pembelajaran laboratorium yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan digital, berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran interaktif yang mendukung efektivitas laboratorium dan dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk alat laboratorium lainnya. Development of an e-book guide to basic physics laboratory experiments as an interactive learning tool Abstract: Using a basic physics laboratory has a vital role in improving the competence of Physics Education students at Manado State University. However, the limitations of a systematic and easily accessible experimental guide are often an obstacle to effective practicum implementation. This research aims to develop a FlipHTML5-based experiment guide e-book as an interactive learning tool for students. The method used is the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Product validation was carried out by 7 reviewers using questionnaire instruments on material, language, and media aspects, while practicality was tested on 20 students. The analysis results show that this e-book is very feasible, with an average score of each aspect above 4.20, and very practical, with an average score of 4.40. PEKA RASA makes it easy for students to access, understand, and provide clear experimental instructions. Thus, this e-book has implications for the quality of laboratory learning that is more adaptive to digital needs, has the potential to become an interactive learning media that supports laboratory effectiveness, and can be further developed for other laboratory equipment.

Abstract

A geothermal power plant (PLTP) is a power plant that utilizes geothermal fluid as its primary energy source. The fluid flowing in the PLTP component undergoes a change in magnitude which is very important to know, one of which is the pressure drop. Pressure drop is an essential term that can describe the pressure drop at a point in the pipe caused by particle friction in the fluid, fluid acceleration, and flow pipe elevation. An analysis of the pressure drop in the pipe between the hot well pump (HWP) and the cooling tower was carried out using the Harriston-Freeston method, which was made on Pressure Drop Modeling using a module program and visual basic. This program study the pressure drop in the pipe from the hot well pump (HWP) to the cooling tower as outlined in the form of a graph where the pressure drop along the pipe, both between hot well pump A and hot well pump B, as well as hot well pump B and cooling towers having a significant pressure drop. In the pipeline between hot well pump A and hot well pump B, the pressure is from 3.6 bar to 3.4 bar. Likewise, the pipeline between hot well pump B and the cooling tower also experiences the same pressure drop, namely at a pressure of 3.4 bar to a pressure of 1 bar. This thing is influenced by the pipe diameter. There is a reduction in diameter and particle friction in the fluid, fluid motion acceleration, and flow pipe elevation in certain pipelines.
